Did Oasis hint that they’re adding US dates to their tour?

Last week, Oasis announced that they would be reuniting for the first time in 15 years. The band broke up after brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had an infamous 2009 fight backstage during a festival in Paris. Right now, there are 17 tour dates throughout the UK and Ireland, beginning on July 4, 2025 and going through August 17, 2025. Over one million tickets went on sale over the weekend, with awful results for many, as they got error messages or placed in a sometimes hours-long queue. And for the fans who did get through, their cart suddenly reflected higher prices, thanks to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing BS. Tickets were also hella inflated via resale websites, so Oasis released a statement saying that any tickets not sold “at face value” through verified resale websites would be canceled by promoters.

There may be hope yet for people who weren’t able to get tickets, though. While no additional tour dates or countries have been added yet, Oasis has been teasing that the tour won’t stop there. Last week, they said that there are plans for the band to visit “other continents outside of Europe” next year. Over the weekend, a billboard, sponsored by Amazon Music, popped up in Times Square with the text, “If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is.” Interesting…

If you were one of the millions of Oasis fans who spent the weekend furiously refreshing in an effort to score tickets to one of their first 17 UK reunion shows to no avail, there may be hope on the horizon. After brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher answered long-held prayers for their return after 15 years apart by announcing a series of summer 2025 gigs last week, ecstatic followers lined up to score seats for the shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin that are slated to kick off on July 4.

And while the Gallaghers have not yet announced any dates outside of the UK yet, they did tease last week that, “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year.”

Those plans appear to be bubbling based on images of billboards that popped up stateside over the weekend that appear to tease U.S. dates. The electronic messages spotted in New York’s Times Square, — which appear to be sponsored by Amazon Music — feature the company’s logo followed by the by-now-ubiquitous new scowly black and white photo of the Gallaghers, along with the hopeful message: “If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is.”

Last week, along with the news of the UK shows, Oasis previewed two new throwback shirts that are available exclusively on Amazon Music.

At press time a spokesperson for Oasis had not returned Billboard‘s request for comment on the billboard or any potential 2025 U.S. dates. After more than one million tickets quickly sold out for the UK shows, a rep hinted over the weekend that more shows may be announced soon, saying, “anticipation for details of the tour’s international dates is now rapidly mounting.”

First of all, I love the billboard. I especially enjoy how we’re all pretending that they’re not going to expand beyond their original dates, especially given the demand for tickets. I think the biggest factor here isn’t whether or not they’d sell tickets but rather if Noel and Liam can keep it together without pissing each other off and calling the whole thing off before it even starts, lol. In about nine months, someone’s going to have to start paying for billboards to go up in Europe, urging those brothers to keep it together and their eyes on the million-pound prize.

So yes, ticket sales for Oasis’ UK/Ireland reunion tour was a whole ass mess, but now I ask my fellow Americans the question: Are we ready to do it all again for tickets to a US leg of the tour? I would absolutely consider going to a US tour date if it’s close enough to me and, more importantly, affordable. If they do extend the tour, I really hope that they refuse to let Ticketmaster do their dynamic pricing. That bit of goodwill towards their fans would really go a long way.

Am I the only Gen Xer here who is fairly confident this tour will be cancelled after the first date once the first punch is thrown or one of them refuses to get on stage with the other?

Funny. I’ve been thinking the same thing since they announced the tour. How long can they make it before blowing up.

What a mess. I hope they cancel it and ticketbstard takes it in the pants.

As an original Oasis fan who saw them live in 1996 (and may or may not have named my first born child after a Gallagher brother)…I am doubtful they will make it that far. If the stars align and they do though…oh boy, you best believe I will be dragging my elder millennial self there. It was such a great show…someone threw a flip flop on stage and Liam picked it up, waved it in the air, cursed us all out and threw it back into the audience. Memories…

I would go if I could get tickets that aren’t ridiculously expensive. I hope they add dates here!

I would LOVE to go to a US show & living in Las Vegas maybe they’d get close (or even here) but I have never spent that kind of $$ on any show! Sigh… not meant to be…
