Jennifer Lopez wore Gucci knit hot pants to promote ‘Unstoppable’ in NYC

Jennifer Lopez was in New York over the weekend for a screening and Q&A session for Unstoppable. Unstoppable is the true story of Anthony Robles, a one-legged student athlete who overcame a lot of odds. Jennifer plays Robles’ mother. The film was produced by Ben Affleck and his Artists Equity. For the screening, Jennifer didn’t go for over-the-top glam. She heard the complaints that she always does the same basic look for premieres and awards shows. So she was like… I’m going to wear an old-fashioned mom-cardigan and a pair of knit hot pants, both from Gucci, how about that? It’s kind of a bonkers look, right? Meanwhile, people are buzzing about the fact that Ben Affleck said his estranged wife’s name:

Jennifer Lopez’s talent is unstoppable. The actress’ ex Ben Affleck—from whom she filed for divorce in August—praised her performance in the upcoming film Unstoppable, which he co-produced.

“Unstoppable is a very different movie than this, but in a way, it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” Ben said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight published Nov. 3 while promoting Small Things Like These, another film he produced. “Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale, all were really passionate about this film.”

The Air actor—speaking alongside his producing partner Matt Damon and actor Cillian Murphy—explained that he thinks the passion for a film’s story from the actors can be critical to its success.

“It speaks to a certain kind of thing I guess we’re drawn to,” he said. “We really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply connected to the story.”

[From E! News]

Ben has barely done anything to promote Unstoppable, probably because J.Lo is in it. The only reason he mentioned her here was because he was already promoting Small Things Like These. Anyway, I don’t have much to say here other than Ben is a douche and Jen is a total pro. Think about how easy it would have been for her to shrug off promotional duties for this film, but she’s been hustling for it (she only has a supporting role!) since September. In between promotion, she’s been volunteering for the Harris-Walz campaign. If there’s one thing J.Lo is always going to do, it’s “keep it moving.”

Her campaign speech was great, and then she just jumps right back into the movie press tour. Girl never stops the grind.

I’m not going to be showing up in the office in this look but I enjoy how different it is for a premiere. I have a couple pairs of knit joggers and they are comfy without the same air of giving up that sweat pants have.

Love! Great look for her, would totally wear this.

  3. girl_ninja says:

She looks great and pulls it off in a way few else could. I think these are the style boots that Taylor should be wearing and not the thigh high patent numbers she wears sometimes.

    Ben is such a bum.

  4. Mimi says:

Not a good look. And I would really love for her to go back to the curly-haired look she had at the beginning of her career. Her hair looks so lifeless and dull; it would give it some volume and life.

  5. therese says:

those boots are stunning. I think she looks younger?

  6. yipyip says:

JLo, I give her credit, she keeps going.
I would be so uncomfortable doing the press while all the divorce stuff is so known.

Credit to her, she has a big work ethic and she seems to be working in the gym forever.

  7. maisie says:

maybe I’m an outlier, but I think it’s a terrible look. and the sh*t brown color isn’t the best choice.

Re: Chris Evans in the link. He looks rough, so scruffy. I have zero interest in him these days.
Evans, Hemsworth, RDJ are all stuck in Avengersland in my mind.

  9. Kirsten says:

I don’t think the outfit or the styling suit her at all.

  10. Niki says:

The color and cut of the outfit are superb on her. She looks beautiful 🤩.
