Thomas Markle gave yet another psychotic exclusive to the Daily Mail. For what it’s worth, this wasn’t something hastily pulled together so Toxic Tom could try to hijack his daughter’s promotion for her Netflix show. This seems like something Tom organized days or even weeks beforehand. His new storyline is that he’s moving to Asia. The man left California years ago and has lived full-time in Mexico for the better part of a decade, but the Mail seems to think that Mexico is part of California, because their headline is “Meghan’s father: I’m leaving America for a new life abroad.” Dude already “left America.” The psychotic part is that Tom invited the Mail inside his home to watch him pack up his belongings. Of course, he started with all of his photos and videos of Meghan, all of which he’s already sold or licensed to the Mail and other outlets. Some lowlights from the Mail:
A fresh start: Mr Markle told The Mail on Sunday he has decided to up sticks and leave the cliffside house in Mexico he has called home for ten years. Mr Markle, 80, has suffered two heart attacks and a stroke in recent years, and says his decision to seek a new life abroad is because he is seeking ‘peace’ and ‘kinder people’.
He let the Mail watch him pack: I was with Mr Markle this week as he packed up a lifetime of memories. We drank PG Tips and ate endless mince pies as he sorted his possessions into packing boxes and burned those things he did not wish to keep. Here were Meghan’s school reports describing her as a child who ‘demonstrates constant effort and is active in classroom discussions’ – dog-eared documents he first received when she was nine years old and which he has treasured all these years. And there were endless photographs of Meghan – feeding the ducks with her dad, playing crazy golf, laughing during fishing trips to a neighbouring lake…Each photograph was carefully placed in a plastic bag for protection and then put into boxes for the long journey to wherever life may next take him.
He’s not brave: When I tell him he is ‘brave’ to start anew at 80 years old he shrugs, smiles and says: ‘I don’t know if brave is the word. I am ready for a change. I have felt stuck in a rut for some time and I am ready to meet new people and experience kindness.’
Meghan’s first husband: On one table there were videos of Meghan’s first wedding to Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson, who she married on a beach in Jamaica in 2011 only to divorce in 2014 – two years before she met Prince Harry on a blind date. ‘I really liked Trevor,’ Mr Markle said softly. ‘I don’t think he ever understood why she dumped him, either.’
LOL, the Sussexes are still not speaking to him: Incredibly, he has yet to meet his son-in-law Prince Harry or his grandchildren Archie, five, or three-year-old Lilibet, who was named after the late Queen. He has come to accept that he most likely now never will – although, for him, the door remains constantly open. The Emmy-award winning Hollywood lighting director has not renewed the lease on his Mexican rented home. Instead, he is planning to travel and explore his options with his son Tom Jr, 58, Meghan’s half brother. ‘I don’t know where I’ll end up but it is time to move on and find a place where I can live among kind people and enjoy the time I have left,’ he said.
Methinks the Mail is being so heavy-handed with how “sad” this is because they can’t count on Tom to trash his daughter at a moment’s notice whenever they need a story. Other than his big move, nothing has changed in six-plus years. Meghan still isn’t speaking to him, and he’s still getting paid to sell her out constantly. Inviting a Daily Mail reporter into his home while he packs his things is one of the grossest things he’s ever done, and that’s saying something.

Not sure about Mexico, but I’ve never seen PG Tips available in Canada (I suppose perhaps in UK specialty stores maybe?). And mince pie is such a bizarre thing – once my British grandmothers died even my British born mother stopped making it. Further hints that this is a bizarre blend of fiction and their version of “reality” I guess…

PG Tips is available lots of pretty basic places in the US, like Target and World Market. Mince is more niche. When she could find it jarred in the market, my mom would make cookies with it.

PG Tips has been available in Canada for decades. I used to work at Kellogg’s when it owned Salada, and PG Tips was one of Salada’s main competitors.

You may recall that a few years ago (2018?) the equally toxic Tom junior said his father went there often when still married to Doria, paid for sex and took drugs there. Years back, an article I read or gossip I heard said that no record could be found of his hospitalization.
I remember getting into a big fight on another forum because I really looked into it closely and all his various medical claims are at best highly dubious. Papped eating McDonalds hours after allegedly having heart surgery, releasing hospital documents with no hospital stamp that looked like he made them in MS Word, paps just happening to be outside the exact minute he allegedly had a stroke to take photos of him SITTING UPRIGHT being taken out his house and put in an ambulance.
I very specifically remember the Daily Telegraph claiming he faked his medical woes bc they’re very very right wing and conservative and Meghan haters usually believe the Telegraph, and a lot of them got really angry about the article. (DT is so super conservative that they’re very pro-monarchy so they’re not pro-Thomas since he embarrass the monarchy. The DM is right wing but doesn’t care about anything except drama drama drama.)
This. I don’t believe that he had a heart attack at the time of the wedding. But that lie has been used to make Meghan seem cold-hearted for going ahead with the wedding. As we learned in the Netflix series, someone answered texts at that time supposedly from Thomas and called her Meghan when never had her father called her anything but Meg. I don’t think Asia sounds dodgy at all. My husband and I were looking for places to go after Trump won the election and found many places across Asia that one can afford if they aren’t rich. Maybe he can’t afford the place in Mexico anymore. If he has to sell stories about his daughter then he probably isn’t loaded with cash. And I was thinking the same thing about Mexico/North America. It’s a stretch but technically somewhat accurate.
I’m sure Markle Sr will have a great time in Asia. His son did say many years ago (before he switched up) that when Sr was a frequent visitor of asian countries, he would get good deals on prostitution and drugs. Let’s hope that’s not the reason he’s moving back. With all the health issues & “strokes” he’s had, I’m sure he doesn’t want to add an incurable sexual disease to that list.
The Fail is packing off Toxic Tom IMO. The rag wasted 8 years of time and money on this sad sack and his loser elder demon spawn to help bring down Meghan and they really got nothing for it. They failed to compel Meghan to reconnect with the trash relatives so said relatives can sell insider stories and new pictures, especially of the kids. That Instagram post of Harry and Archie at a surfing camp told the BM they will never get exclusive pictures of the Sussex children. Netflix and other organizations who work with Meghan prove they don’t listen to what the Markle Monsters say about Meghan because they don’t believe them. The US and Hollywood have seen this movie before: bitter poor relations resent a family member who does well and expect a come up. And it’s Toxic Tom’s fault he can’t see Archie and Lili: he’s done things that would be problematic in a CA court. (Another reason he’s packed off; he’ll be no use to them in court.)

This World Exclusive was on the front page of yesterday’s MoS based on TM considering a move?!! So nothing earth shattering just this sad old coot peddling the same ole trash about Meghan. He probably can’t afford to renew the lease and needs another payday from MoS. Tom Junior used to live with his mum and is now his dad’s “live in carer”.
TM could have loved honourably and well if only he hadn’t betrayed his daughter for interview cash. His ego was so pumped up in May 2018 when he was getting paid left, right and centre for interviews far and wide. He expected to cash in big by betraying and upsetting his daughter in the week of her very public wedding and yet still being taken back and be financially be looked after by her. After he’d comprehensively run amok by nonstop paid interviews Meghan wrote him a 5 page letter detailing how hurt she, Doria and Harry had been by his crappy behaviour. It was his final chance to redeem himself by responding with an apology and eternal public silence. He wrote back demanding a photo op with her and Harry!! He eventually gave the letter to the MoS which led to a lengthy legal wrangle which saw Meghan miscarry. Yet here we are 6 years with TM whining again to MoS for payment to trash his daughter again. He lost a loving daughter through constant betrayal and no amount of tabloid cash can compensate for her loss.
I mean geographically speaking, Mexico IS a part of North America, so technically he is leaving America still.

For someone who is interested in finding kinder people he’s already off to a bad start by maintaining a relationship with racists that he let slip were working with him to “mess up the wedding… to stop the wedding”. Mexico has serious problems, but being kind to the elderly is absolutely not one of them. He’s either a real jerk to the neighbors, or he thinks travel and a move to anywhere will make him like himself more. I’m guessing his real beef is that American ex-pats there don’t kowtow to him just because he’s got a royal son-in-law. Or they’re tired of his whining.
His problem is that he seems to have real antisocial behaviour. His house was boarded up before Harry and Meghan met. He was “friends” with unsavoury people.
