Jason Kelce confirms: Taylor Swift & Travis’s bros will attend the Super Bowl

If you couldn’t tell, I only care about this year’s Super Bowl for two reasons: the gossip and Kendrick Lamar. I’ve heard all of the reasons why people should support the Philadelphia Eagles and I think that’s fine. I also think it would be cool if the Kansas City Chiefs could pull off a historic hat-trick (three in a row). But mostly, I just want to see who Taylor Swift brings to the game and what she wears and what the reaction will be inside the Superdome when Kendrick says “Mustard on the beat, ho.” Jason Kelce gave an interview this week which served as a preview for the Super Bowl gossip side of things – Taylor is absolutely coming, as are Travis’s bros and the whole Kelce fam.

In an interview with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Feb. 4, Jason Kelce confirms that Taylor Swift will be heading to the Super Bowl in New Orleans to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

When asked about who’s coming into town for the Big Game and whether it’d be a family affair, Jason made it known that Travis’ cheer squad is assembling. “Yeah, I think everybody’s coming in,” he began before rattling off some names.

“I mean, I don’t want to speak for everybody, but I think obviously, our whole family. I believe, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and his friends. I mean, Trav always travels like, full,” he says of his younger brother. “Even when he’s in regular season mode… he’s always got a bunch of his friends there. It’s been this way his whole career,” Jason adds. “He’s kept in touch much better with a lot of the people from our hometown. So there’s always a loaded contingency for the Kelces, wherever we’re at.”

When thinking about his brother and the Chiefs making NFL history with a three-peat win, Jason tells PEOPLE that “it’d be a really cool thing to be able to say that you’ve done.” He adds, “It’s an incredible opportunity.”

There’s been a lot of talk about which team Jason is rooting for – his brother’s team or Jason’s old team, the Eagles. I think it was confirmed that Jason is rooting for the Eagles though? (Update: no, I guess he didn’t say.) As I said, I’m only following the gossip side of things. Speaking of, if Travis really has a big group of people coming, did you know that he’ll have to pay out of pocket for a VIP friends-and-family box? None of those suites, tickets or boxes will be comped or discounted, not even for players and not even for Taylor Swift. Page Six recently reported that Travis could be spending as much at $3 million for a suite/box for his group, and that Travis is the one paying (not Taylor).

Kdot bright spot. I am actually looking forward to this for the distraction.

  2. Jilly says:

He paid last years too. So nothing new for this Super Bowl. I do wonder if Blake and Ryan will be there though! Gossip gold.

  3. Truthiness says:

Except Trump is coming too and he’s already had his I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT tantrum. He is going to hate it if they cut away to Taylor more than him. I wonder if he has an opinion about Kendrick yet, pretty sure Kendrick won’t play Trump’s favorite show tunes.

Ticket prices have been dropping too.

I’m hoping they show him and the crowd boos him loudly. I want to see his stupid bloated face fill with rage and maybe he’ll keel over on live TV.

It would be awesome if he got booed and he stormed out! I think he’s rooting for the Chiefs, he only tweeted congratulations to them. He’s got fans in Mahomes’s wife (ugh), mom and the dang kicker. President Thin Skin uninvited the entire Eagles team to the White House in 2018 when some of them refused to go so I bet he’s nursing that grudge.

Travis got out in front of any kind of sh*t talking to say that is was an honor to play in front of the president, with his typical golden retriever energy but …I’d love to see fans protest the $%#& out of him.

Go, Birds times a million. I’m so excited/nervous for the Eagles that I can hardly work this week.

Even the presence of Trump won’t dim my excitement — though of course the NFL is caving to that deplorable man-baby by erasing the “End racism” messages in the end zones. The NFL can be so pathetic.

Apart from that, can’t wait for Sunday. It will be fun to see Kylie in her Eagles green and her kids in their “Uncle Trav” shirts.

    • Truthiness says:

I was so disappointed they painted over the End Racism in the endzone too but the bright spot this week for me was Roger Goddell reaffirming the NFL’s committment to DEI polices.

Jason’s girls get to watch in a party at home since Jason isn’t playing but I bet Kylie will share the shirts. If I were 8 months pregnant with 3 girls age 5 and under, I’d make the same choice!

Jason said he is rooting for the Eagles to win, and he is also rooting for his brother to do well.
So either way, he will be both thrilled for the winner, and disappointed for the loser.

It is really a non-answer. He did not make a choice.
    But it makes sense.

  6. Flamingo says:

Go Eagles! I must stand in solidarity with my fowl brothers and sisters.

Love Taylor and Travis but how much more success do they have to pile on top of their success mountain. We get it your life is magical.

Let someone else win for a change.
