Taylor Swift got the hell out of New Orleans on Monday after getting booed

People are still talking about Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and the Super Bowl, obviously. The more I think about it, the more shocked I am that the crowd booed Taylor Swift. I get why the Kansas City Chiefs were booed, and why so many people were rooting for the Eagles. But for the crowd to boo Taylor like that felt different. Maybe it was MAGA dumbf–ks booing, maybe it was all about politics, I really don’t know. What I do know is that Taylor got the f–k out of New Orleans as soon as possible.

Taylor Swift jetted out of New Orleans after her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl 2025. The “Lover” songstress was photographed being escorted onto a private jet while surrounded by several black umbrellas on Monday, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

While Swift’s entire body was not visible, cameras caught a glimpse of her distressed blue jeans, red loafers and tan socks.

One of the 14-time Grammy winner’s assistants trailed behind her carrying a bag of snacks and cat litter. According to the outlet, her plane was heading to Nashville, Tenn.

Swift, 35, was last seen cheering for Kelce in her star-studded $3 million VIP suite at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday. The “Fortnight” singer attended the sporting event with Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone and the Haim sisters, Este, Alana and Danielle, by her side. She appeared stressed while leaning over the rail of her suite, as the Eagles took a massive lead over the Chiefs early on in the game.

At one point, Swift whispered to those around her and anxiously scratched her head, with one NFL commentator saying the pop star “hasn’t had much to cheer about.”

[From Page Six]

I have no doubt that the original plan was to watch the Chiefs win and stay in New Orleans for a day or two so that they could party, which is what happened last year in Las Vegas. The kitty litter is such a fascinating detail too – did Taylor bring the kitties to New Orleans?? Or was she just preparing to see the kitties in Nashville? Where IS Meredith??

Anyway, there’s also a lot of gossip about Travis Kelce, who was last seen slinking off in a Bee Gees costume after the loss. Page Six also says that Taylor is “comforting” Travis after the loss, and of course there’s gossip about how Travis would have proposed to Taylor if the Chiefs had won the Super Bowl. With the loss, there’s now gossip that Taylor plans to dump Travis. I doubt it. I mean, yes, Taylor watched as her man took one of the biggest Ls of his football career, but I doubt she’ll dump him after that. What else? The Hollywood Reporter has a piece about whether Travis will retire from football and focus on acting. It wouldn’t be the worst idea, honestly.

I don’t see any reason to stay, and they booed John Hamm too. Eagles fans god love them are nasty I mean they don’t make jokes about it on Always sunny and Abbott for no reason.

Not everything is political- sometimes people are assholes and Philly fans are assholes when it’s game day, it’s part of their charm.

    • Kitten says:

Yeah this is my theory as well. Worst fanbase ever but I’m still happy the Eagles won.

      • QuiteContrary says:

I hate this reflexive dumping on Philly fans. We are a devoted and passionate fan base, and funny as hell.

Taylor was being booed because she was famously, previously an Eagles fan. As an up and coming artist from the Philly area, she sang the national anthem at the 2008 Phillies World Series.

This wasn’t a MAGA thing. Philly fans — because they are absolutely not the worst fan base — far outnumbered MAGA Chief fans in the stands.

      • Renee says:

We all saw what you all did to Philadelphia after the win, broken shop windows, electric poles, waste dumps…..you all are absolutely the worst behaved fandom and that is without the booing and all taken into account.

      • QuiteContrary says:

@Renee: There was a literal mass shooting at the Kansas City victory parade last year.

By contrast, a credible Philadelphia news station reported that out of a crowd of THOUSANDS, Sunday night’s celebrations resulted in 17 apprehensions, 29 citations and eight instances of vandalism, according to police officials.

(Please find me an example of a celebration involving thousands of fans from any team that did not result in the bad behavior of a relative few. There were families with kids celebrating safely on Broad Street the other night.)

      • No name says:

I’m not dumping on Philly fans I’m pointing out facts, facts they as a fan base acknowledge they are assholes they take it really far. Ask a Philly fan and they will admit it. Like I said they make jokes about it on these shows for a reason, because the behavior is there and not just a little. It is part of the charm of watching and playing in Philly. And Taylor was never a huge sports fan prior to dating Travis she liked them but she wasn’t a big fan so let’s not act like she’s some big traitor that betrayed a long time team for supporting her boyfriend.

      • Kitten says:

Hate it all you want but It’s not “reflexive dumping” –it’s decades of watching Philly fans engage in the most repulsive behavior in various sports that are rife with repulsive fan behavior. Philly fans intentionally projective-vomiting on other fans, throwing objects at players on the field, punching police horses, and pissing all over the place. It goes way back to 1968 when Eagles fans threw hoagies at Santa Claus.

The negative perception of Philly fans has been rightfully earned.

      • QuiteContrary says:

During Game 2 of the National League Division Series in 2024, Los Angeles Dodger fans threw baseballs and beer at San Diego Padres players Jurickson Profar and Fernando Tatis.

Another story from this past November: For “the fourth straight week, a controversial call in a college football matchup resulted in trash raining down onto the playing field.”

In 2022: Fans in the right-field stands at Yankee Stadium threw debris at Cleveland Guardians outfielders after New York walked off to win 5-4 at home on Saturday.

Find me the last time a Philly fan threw an object on a playing field.

      • Jeanette says:

I found the burning of the Kermit dolls pretty wild…and just nasty.

    • BeanieBean says:

      oh my!

      • Renee says:

Mass shootings happen all over USA unfortunately but you Philly fans are known for absolutely garbage behavior post games. I am not even Kansas City fan here.

      • QuiteContrary says:

@ Renee: It is sad that you are dismissing a mass shooting in which dozens of people, including children, were wounded and one woman was killed — just to dump on Philly fans.

You might want to adjust your perspective a bit.

It’s clear that some commenters here just buy a tired old stereotype of Philadelphia fans. This is a site that punctures stereotypes and promotes media literacy.

This will be my last comment on this particular subject. I’m not going to expend another second — when I should be reveling in the Eagles victory — trying to defend my fan base to closed-minded people.

      • Kitten says:

That’s probably a good move TBH because you’re definitely not gonna change any minds here. At the end of the day it’s just sports FFS–it’s grown men throwing a damn ball around–and you’re taking it way too seriously.

The majority of the country was still rooting for your team–that really should mean more to you than what people think of the Philly fanbase.

    • Mtl.ex.pat says:

Yeah their hockey fans are pretty awful too – it’s just a Philly thing in part I guess…

      • Ugh not to mention the other recent example of how that Philly’s fan verbally abused the female Packers fan the other week. They truly are classless. At least that guy did get fired though.

      • Kkat says:

@QuiteContrary, last night I said to my son I wonder what the philly fans did after the game.
I typed in eagle fans 2025 Superbowl riot, knowing I would get results.
And sure enough lots of pictures and videos of chaos and things on fire.

I was ahh good ole predictable philly.
        Because it’s absolutely predictable lol

Your whataboutism with other cities is laughable.
These other cities might have after game shenanigans or they might not.
Philly ALWAYS does win or lose, every time.

  2. Libra says:

No pics this time of Taylor rushing the field and smothering him with kisses.

  3. Cait says:

Can I just make it super clear that New Orleanians were not booing her? When her tour was here back in the fall, the city embraced her and her fans. She’s well-liked here. Eagles fans? Well, that’s a different story.

    • Renee says:

Its not just the booing. Burning her effigy, making post about why Travis should have kept dating Kayla as if last year’s win didn’t happen, calling her every name under the Sun….I get it, football is rowdy but Taylor probably doesn’t have stomach for the extra bits that is uncouth and unpleasant at best, scary at worst for her. Like she is a pop star, she does her job well. She was there for her boyfriend and now, she and Travis probably will continue their lives in private as they should. I doubt she feels any type of way about New Orleans or Philadelphia as a city. Now the Philly fans, they are too much. And I don’t think there’s much love lost there.

    • HeatherC says:

They were booing anything and anyone KC related. If she had been at the Super Bowl just to watch the Super Bowl without any affiliation with KC she probably wouldn’t have been booed.

KC was the most hated team this year, and all connected were booed (moreso if there was a Trump connection, like the Mahomes family). It wasn’t just Eagles fans. It was pretty much everyone who wasn’t a KC fan. (Bills fan who held my nose and rooted for the Eagles while not watching the SB here)

      • Becks1 says:

Yup, if she was just there as a celeb, I doubt there would have been booing or if there was, only minimal. she was booed because she was there as the high profile girlfriend of a high profile player.

      • Lucy2 says:

Totally agree. There were more Eagles fans in the stadium than Chiefs, and anyone KC affiliated got booed by them at the game. It has nothing to do with her music, politics, etc.
It’s not surprising she left right after the game, I assume if Travis and his team had won she’d have stayed for a celebration, but they lost and she went home.

  4. Renee says:

I mean New Orleans isn’t her home, so she left early next day after the games isn’t surprise. She has better things to do, like finally giving us Rep tv. As for Travis, I am sure he isn’t feeling well right now but that’s the game. I think both of them are adults that can handle it. Being low key probably is the best option for them, let everyone just rest, recuperate in peace. The proposal nonsense was made up.

  5. Flamingo says:

I still can’t get over the ridiculous zoot suit Travis wore to the game. At least he had the decency to take off the jacket when he slinked out of the stadium.

I don’t think she got booed as Taylor the person. I think fans are just sick of the celebrity distraction. Trump got booed also.

I assume Taylor and Travis are on some tropical island nursing their recent losses over Pina Coladas. They will be just fine.

  6. Kitten says:

Meh. I mean, I guess it could be Trumpiness but it could be as simple as half the crowd were Eagles fans.

  7. I’m of the belief that there was to be a party if they won but they didn’t so why stay. Eagles fans are notorious for their nasty attitude towards other teams so that’s why she got booed and also I believe before Travis she was an eagles fan so they think of her as a traitor.

  8. Jais says:

I still feel like it’s mostly eagles fans who were booing and I’d be stressed too if my bf’s team was losing. Bummer bc it would’ve been fun to stay and celebrate. I love New Orleans.

    • Truthiness says:

(This isn’t a reply to Jais, it’s just a regular post.)The Chiefs didn’t have the roster this year to win a Super Bowl, this wasn’t a secret. The O Line was letting Pat get thrown around all season, their weaknesses were readily apparent. Taylor’s not that dumb, she wasn’t overconfidently planning to win and go party. She could hope and support but she’s not naive. Hell she saw the Chiefs lose to the Raiders on Christmas Day a year ago!

Anyway, go Birds, it was great to see them avenge a SB loss 2 years ago. I was hoping for a showy Saquon run! At least he set a NFL record for most yards in a playoff season.

  9. MY3CENTS says:

Do cats travel that easily? I always had the impression that changes are really hard for them.

    • Karen says:

Depends on the cat and how they are acclimated young, like any animal. From the moment she has them, she’s carrying them, taking them places, putting them in purses, draping them on her shoulders for photo shoots. They couldn’t care less as long as there are treaties and scritches.

    • Bronco says:

We’ve seen her with a cat specific backpack, got a clear window at the back. She often travels with her cats – or at least one. I’m sure they have a good set up on her planes.

  10. Normades says:

She’s already done the rush the field thing and they have definitely felt overexposed lately. Seems like the end of a cycle. Time to lay low now for awhile

  11. Andy Dufresne says:

I don’t think this is political or MAGA related. There have been rumours going around that Taylor and Travis’ relationship is not real, that this is all orchestrated to gain more viewership for the NFL. Plus, with the Blake Lively stuff happening, this is just a perfect storm of tides turning and people’s feelings for Taylor changing. Something is about to happen here. This could go two ways: we hear a proposal to turn the current mood around or they break up within a couple of months and this turns into another album or song.

    • No name says:

No one with common sense believes those rumors, I mean I’m sure MAGA idiots do but they believe a lot of stuff because they are idiots.

And no one’s feelings on Taylor are changing people who have always hated her are just hoping- again the MAGAs like Candiace Owens.

      • NotSoSocialB says:

Tangentially- Whenever I see Candace spelled with a i plopped in the middle (Candiace), my brain can only read it as “Candy Ass.” It’s shamefully GenX. 😆

      • Bronco says:

Exactly. Why should she fly from Japan for a basically 12 hour turnaround mid Asian tour to benefit the nfl? What’s in it for her – a billionaire? There’s nothing in this for her. There’s a lot for him and the nfl. They gained a lot of viewers world wide. I believe it’s genuine. I don’t know how trav is with losses but it could be a good test for them. This is the first time neither are mid tour / season.

    • Lucy says:

I don’t understand the rumors that it’s fake. We’ve seen both of these people act, and neither one of them could fake their way out of a parking ticket. Also who is the psy-op supposed to be on? Dads, brads and chads? Bringing girls to the game? It did bring a lot of girls/women in, but Taylor could probably purchase a team on her own, she doesn’t need them. If she buys the Chiefs and rename them Powerpuff girls then maybe it’s part of an evil plan. Otherwise, nah.

      • No name says:

Exactly! And like what is the goal of this big conspiracy? Two blonde people dating in football not really out of the norm- like she isn’t dating Jalen Hurts here (which if I were her and could get him I would) so what is the issue?

        People need lives.

      • Lorelei says:

@Lucy, LMFAOOO at, “who is the psy-op supposed to be on? Dads, brads and chads?” ☠️

Actually laughing out loud, thank you!

No idea if the rumors are true or not, but I hope she doesn’t marry him. I don’t particularly care either way, I’m not some superfan, but he annoys me and it just seems like she could do better. But what do I know.

  12. Sue says:

Buffalo fan here. Taylor got booed when she came to the Chiefs playoff game in Buffalo last year, as she was walking into the stadium. When she didn’t come to the Chiefs game here this season, even though she had already made it known that she was not attending away games, she made a statement through a sports analyst that the Buffalo fans were mean to her last year. It’s not political. It’s football fans being football fans. I’ve never been so afraid for my life as when I lived in NYC and used to go to Bills at Jets games. At one of the games I attended, some Jets fans broke the side view mirrors off of all the cars in the lot where they knew the Bills fans had been tailgating because they were mad that we won. Football is a sport where the fans can really be assholes.

    • Flowerlake says:

“Football is a sport where the fans can really be assholes.”
      Indeed.

Swifties are often called all kinds of names for being “too deeply into fandom” or some of them talking sh*t online. Or even for just showing enthusiasm for Taylor.
      Most Swifties are female.

When it’s football fans (American football, or even worse: fans of what we call football in Europe): it gets more of a “boys will be boys” reaction.
This while the football fans commit actual violence, vandalism and other criminal acts quite etc, regularly.
      Most football fans are male.

And no, I’m not a Swiftie, but this happens with all kinds of things mostly women like, while men often behave much worse when they like something, but then that is “normal.”

    • Truthiness says:

I remember that Buffalo game, Taylor had to stay back from the windows and not go up front. A puppet representing Mahomes was lynched, the Bills fans are really passionate. She came to the front when Jason hoisted a child with a cute poster for her to see but she couldn’t be watching front row. Snowballs were flying and a Bills fan with an accurate arm could deliver some snowball F U’s that would make the news. The players kinda loved the snowballs, picking ’em up and throwing them back.

Watching the Super Bowl made me wish the Bills were there, I was wondering how they would’ve matched up. Also boo to Super Bowls in domes, a snowy Super Bowl would be the best thing ever!

  13. acha says:

OH! Nah — In this case, it’s simply and honestly just Philadelphia fans.

They probably adore Taylor Swift IRL, but if it’s in a sports fandom, they boo every single person, including their own players if they are playing poorly.

There’s no MAGA involved; Taylor is simply “the enemy” because she’s rooting for the Chiefs.

(I know all this because my hockey team of choice plays against the Flyers pretty often and the fans are F I E R C E.)

    • Bookie says:

NY/NJ sports fan here – can confirm that fans for every Philadelphia sports team are brutal. There was even a stadium jail at one point for the Eagles because bird fans were getting so violent at the games.

      • acha says:

lol exactly. brutal is a good word for that fanbase.

      • QuiteContrary says:

OMG, not the stadium jail again. That was years ago.

Do you know what Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles stadium, now has? The first-ever sensory room for those on the autism spectrum and people with sensory issues.

It’s a space for fans who need a quiet environment. And it’s supported by the Eagles Autism Foundation, which is funded by fans. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia helped to design the space.

      • Becks1 says:

@QuiteContrary, I appreciate your defense of your team/fanbase and the sensory rooms are important (I know we have them now in at least one baltimore stadium and they are becoming more common across the board.)

But I am laughing – not in a mean way – at the response “not the stadium jail again. That was years ago.”

      • Sue says:

Most football stadiums have a drunk tank. It’s not just Philly.

      • QuiteContrary says:

LOL @Becks1. I see it now, too.

In reality, the stadium jail was in an old concrete stadium called the Vet. And there was even a courtroom, so that fans charged with public drunkenness could be quickly fined. But times have changed.
The Linc, where the Eagles now play (and where I’ve seen Taylor Swift perform twice, to rapturous crowds), has a great family atmosphere. Are there still some drunken idiots? Absolutely, same as in every NFL stadium.

But Philly sports fans get a bad rap. I’m tired of it.

      • acha says:

Why is it a bad rap to call Philly fans fierce when you are all fierce?

Look at Gritty: he’s awesome, but he did tweet “sleep with one eye open, bird” to the actual NHL mascot of Pittsburgh.

Y’all are fierce in defense of your own teams — it’s not a bad thing, just own it. :’D

  14. Bumblebee says:

I read elsewhere, she’s from Philly, or Pennsylvania and used to be an Eagles fan for years? Then starts going to Chiefs games wearing their jerseys. So, the Eagles fans booed her for switching teams. Don’t betray football fans, they never forget.

  15. Karen says:

I agree with commenters above. It aint that deep…Eagles fans will boo anyone. Taylor Swift, Santa Clause, their own team. You can always count on two things from Eagles fans…they WILL show up and they WILL boo. Go Birds!

    • what says:

Well, it is kind of deep because the rabid booing over sports emboldened the current US president to target her, which in turn emboldens all misogynists, who were already feeling pretty d*** bold. Taylor ultimately may not be hurt by this, but a lot of other women may be.

      • Eurydice says:

So fans can’t express themselves in case the US elects an orange jackass for president who will then incite anybody who happens to be a misogynist? The responsibility lies with the orange jackass who is using fan reaction to further his agenda.

      • jais says:

I mean Trump has been sounding off on Taylor for a while. Bc she didn’t vote for him and made her support for Harris publicly known. And good for her. I still love that tour picture of her cat wrapped around her shoulders just after Vance was outed for his remarks about childless cat ladies. But yeah, Trump has been talking shit about Taylor for a while and its why some of us were disappointed with Travis saying it was awesome for the president to be in the stands. Bc it is not awesome that that man was in the stands. As his current tweeting freaking shows. Unfortunately, we as a country voted for a bully. He’s been bullying women forever. Stalking Hillary onstage for all to see. Proudly talking about grabbing women by the pussy. There ain’t nothing good about it. Back then or now. Let’s talk about the media continuing too harp on about Taylor being booed, possibly by some magas but also just a lot of eagles fans, while hiding the fact that Trump was also booed. Many people were booed at that game. Focusing on the woman getting booed and not the fact that the president was booed is interesting.

      • Karen says:

@what. Rabid booing over sports has been happening since there were sports. There is literally a movie out right now about it (Go Denzel) There is literally no causation or correlation between fans booing anything and whether someone is a misogynist or votes for one. I mean come on. Anyway, Eagles fans (of which I am one I try not to be too obnoxious) are equal opportunity haters. DEI haters if you will. And lovers. Nobody loves their team like the Eagles fans so don’t hang whatever your drama is on the Eagles.

  16. Elle says:

I don’t think it was political. I think football fans in general are tired of the Taylor Swift viewing spectacle it’s become – through no fault of her own, I might add. People that watch football don’t want to see her reaction every time something happens. They want to see the reaction of the players, the normal fans, little kids dancing, drunk men going wild etc, instead of “here is yet another shot of Taylor Swift again in her private box.” She has been credited with significantly increasing viewership in certain demographics because of the shots of her, but people that have always watched football don’t care about her in this context and are annoyed by it.

  17. Kate says:

    Get married? In this economy?

Seriously though I hope she never does. Marriage is terrible for women. Just live together.

    • Crystal says:

I doubt that the financial angle of marriage in general worries her, to put it mildly.

She’d have an ironclad prenup and staff to prevent domestic chore disputes anyway.

  18. Mslove says:

The boos for TS weren’t personal; they stemmed from the overwhelming presence of KC over the past two years. Mahomes and Kelce have appeared in too many commercials, and the hype surrounding T&T has become excessive, in my opinion.

    • Lucy2 says:

I am definitely hoping for few Mahomes, Kelce, and Andy Reid commercials. I want to see some of the great guys on the Eagles get those big national spots!

  19. Cait says:

One of the Plantation Khalessi’s Dragons was spotted and heckled

  20. Kebbie says:

Did Travis go with her to Nashville?

I guess time will tell how they transition from pop star on world tour/football player marching to championship to boyfriend/girlfriend with loads of free time to relax.

They’ve been together for a while, but their lives have been so busy the entire time. Especially after a tough loss, they’ll get to know each other for real without all the external stuff.

  21. Thelma says:

I’m likely in a minority but I think Taylor may peace out of this relationship. Obviously not because the Chiefs lost, but because I’m not sure Travis is aligned with her politically. I hope I’m wrong.

    • KASalvy says:

I don’t know if it was here or on another site but a commenter mentioned that they only know each other as winning all the time. The honeymoon’s over: Taylor didn’t win the Grammy, Kelce loses the Super Bowl. Eventually the pedestal looks a little lower than it did the year before and that’s when cracks start to show up.

      • No name says:

        🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

      • Kitten says:

I think you could make the argument that the losses and the recent minor fall(s) from grace (Tay getting dragged in to the Lively/Baldoni drama and Kelce’s questionable Trump comments) will bring them closer together. It’s good to have a soft place to fall during those low moments.

But when we were watching the SB my friend (who’s a borderline Swifty) said that she thinks it won’t last either so you’re not alone, Thelma. I tend to think they’re the real deal but alas celeb romance is a fickle thing…

      • Truthiness says:

Eh, Taylor was there for some UGLY losses last season (2023-4). They were not on a high at all during the season, very rocky. Team was called washed all season long and Travis is being called washed every day of the last 2 years. Including here! During the previous season Travis was playing injured, it was never called out because he was still playing. Reid sat Travis out the last game of the season and after the SB Reid revealed Travis needed that week off to recover. My point is she’s seen plenty ugliness already, she even witnessed the sloppy drunk cringy s–t he says when they win the SB.

We see a lot of uneducated s–t on the internet. I’d bet money that Taylor judges Travis on how he treats her and makes her feel, is he a family guy who wants to commit, etc. I’ve seen their pod since the last time the Eagles met the Chiefs in the SB, when both brothers were players. I’m already dreading the future posts here, ‘Does Taylor Want Out Because XYZ Happened’ since the couple is popular watercooler talk.

      • wendy says:

Taylor just finished an EPIC tour making billions and spanning the globe — her not winning a Grammy for what was, at best, a mediocre album is hardly Taylor on a losing streak — she has to know it wasn’t great too — I don’t think it compares to what Kanye and Kim did to her.

Now Kelsey? Who knows – he strikes me as not dealing with adversity well – like no one has ever told him no.

    • therese says:

I also wonder if it is a mixture of football emotion and affiliation and the growth of emotions and feelings about the Blake/Baldoni stuff going on.

    • Truthiness says:

I’ll prob get slagged off for saying this but Travis is absolutely closet blue. As a leader on the team he has to be for all sides and all guys, they can’t be fighting within the team. The team has to fight as one or it’s a problem. He honors any president bc he’s just a jabronie from a Cleveland suburb. He totally loved Biden and having fun messing around with Joe was a thing each and every White House visit.

He’s pro vax & did the commercial for it, he kneeled right away when that issue was happening, his charity focuses on education & support of under-privileged KC youths not Maga s–t, and he was ‘liking’ Taylor’s endorsement of Kamala plus others who posted they just voted for Harris.

      • Walking the Walk says:

He’s closet Blue? Are you for real? If you are not a loud and proud Democrat, then you are not actually a Democrat.

Walking the Walk, Then Travis has to quit his role as team leader, just walk away and abandon the team. Making people commit career suicide isn’t going to get rid of our oligarchy. The oligarchy has all three branches of the government right now and one NFL tight end isn’t going to change a thing. I 10000% am with you that we need to fight this f-ken dictator. Zero qualms with you politically.

When he quits those roles so he can be outspoken, he will be mocked endlessly and lose jobs. In football and entertainment. And who will be persuaded? NOBODY! Travis isn’t articulate and he won’t move any needle. He’s already mocked plenty.

I HATE what happened to Colin Kapernik, it was a travesty. But that’s the NFL and that’s NFL team management.

@Truthiness, no slagging from me— I didn’t know any of that, and thank you for the context

THELMA, I agree. They have only known each other while at the top of their respective games/careers. Will he be able to continue to handle her success and support her stardom if he sees himself (or if others see him) as “less than” he was when they first got together? How well will she handle his (perceived) slight status decline? I think it would be good for them both to know the answers before marriage and even better to know before kids.

    • AC says:

I agree with you, and I know it’s an unpopular opinion. But TS always wants to be and stay on top. I think in a way she hated being booed live like that. I think she would be more cautious going to NFL games going forward too. Travis of course seemed disappointed as the team lost but I think it’s even more than that this time around, esp alpha male egos can be fragile.

Well his new hair shows he wants to do acting. Rolls eyes.

Here’s an interesting article about the booing from someone who was at the Super Bowl and not just speculating about the fans.

    https://www.glamour.com/story/why-taylor-swift-getting-booed-at-the-super-bowl-was-even-more-chilling-than-you-think

    • Lorelei says:

@Doctah Grrl, thank you for that link! Before I read the article, I sort of assumed that the word “chilling” was probably a bit of an exaggeration, but after reading the article, and having it put into perspective by someone who was there…damn. It really isn’t an exaggeration. It’s definitely just a symptom of a much larger issue.

      • Doctah Grrl says:

You are welcome! After hearing how he went on “truth” social to gloat about the booing, I had to do a quick google search and found that article.

I was only half paying attention to the Super Bowl and thankfully missed both Jumbotron incidents.

No one needs to see Mango Mussolini that large or detailed 🤢

I don’t feel any specific way about Taylor not getting any Grammys or that Travis’s team lost the Superbowl. 2024 was a year of many successes for them–the Eras tour, releasing Tortured Poets (though I don’t think it’s her strongest album), the unbeatable KC Chiefs and their second Superbowl two years in a row. But with the wins come the losses, life is full of ups and downs. I think it’s healthy for both of them to weather the disappointments and losses together too. If a relationship can’t make it through those moments together it’s not going to last. Travis will definitely go on to have a successful career post-football too. The man has too much charisma to keep it bottled up.

  26. FancyPants says:

Taylor Swift could announce a concert at the Superdome tonight and sell it out in 45 seconds if she wanted to- she a’int crying over this.

  27. Maddie says:

Eagles and swiftie fan here. I hate the reflexive dumping on Philly fans because as of a few bad apples. There’s a reason one of our fan slogans is “no one likes us and we don’t care”. That said, swifites have been insufferable with this loss. She’s a billionaire and will be fine. At the end of the day I’m sure she doesn’t care at all that she was booed. Her and Travis are probably already on her private jet on there way to a private island somewhere

  28. sevenblue says:

She was booed by other team’s fans before. Is this one getting so many headlines because of Trump’s bitchy tweets??! I truly don’t understand. She is the famous girlfriend of one of the competitors. Why did everyone get surprised she was booed? Football fans aren’t famous for their manners. I doubt, Taylor is crying over this. She probably jetted off because her team lost, so no celebration party. I don’t know Travis, but man usually doesn’t take losses well, so he is probably too much in his feelings to hang out publicly.

  29. bears says:

I am well aware of how potentially unhinged this comment seems but I really wouldn’t put it past this cretin admin to have put people in the audience just to boo. Shitler really IS that petty.

  30. Pat Gaddess says:

I live in a medium sized Midwest city that has won multiple World Series , a Super Bowlsnd a Stanley Cup. We celebrated in the streets and sometimes drank too much beer but no one tore down light posts, burned dumpsters and broke shop windows. No shops boarded up their windows.
I am tired of the excuses. It is time to
Call the behavior what it is, disgustingly bad behavior.
At a Phillies baseball game fans were throwing batteries at the outfielders. This could cause serious injury. The field was called, some fans removed and the game resumed. It was repeated. Finally the game ended with outfielders playing with batting helmets on.

  31. AC says:

Idk.. I think she might be cautious going forward of what nfl games she plans to attend. I don’t think she enjoyed those boos live. Esp when one would compare last years SB to this years. It was definitely a 180 turn.
