As SAG-AFTRA president, Fran Drescher was front and center during the 2023 strike. She gave speeches on the picket line and was constantly out there, giving updates about what they wanted and how negotiations were going. Almost two years later, Fran is still president of SAG-AFTRA. She’s up for re-election this September. Since the strikes finished, Fran’s reprised her role in This is Spinal Tap upcoming sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues and is working on a musical version of The Nanny. This past January, Fran’s home in the Palisades was badly damaged in the fires.
So, with a busy schedule like that, what’s a girl doing to relax? Oh, I think you know what! Back in January 2020, Fran revealed to Page Six that although she was currently single, she did have a “friend with benefits” who came around every month. Last week, while at screening in NYC, Fran bumped into Page Six, who of course wanted to follow up on Fran’s personal life details. Fran was more than willing to give an update, though. Turns out, she’s upped her game and now has herself a “little rotation” of FWB.
“I have a little rotation,” she told Page Six at the Cinema Society screening of “The Friend” earlier this week — five years after first admitting to having a singular “friend with benefits.”
When we gasped a little at the word “rotation,” the comedienne, 67, laughed.
“I’m Fran Drescher,” she scoffed. “What do you think?!”
She explained that she loves her gay ex-husband and they’re “very close,” so the most she can give anyone else is a “friend with benefits” situation.
Drescher met her ex-husband, Peter Jacobson, when she was 15. The couple married in 1978 when she was 21, but they separated in 1996 and divorced in 1999. Jacobson later came out as gay and they remained good friends.
In 2020, “The Nanny” alum told Page Six that she had “someone on the side who is a friend with benefits.”
She added that due to her busy work schedule, they saw each other about twice a month and that was “more than enough.” Now, she’s enjoying her “rotation.”
Get it, Fran! No judgment here. It sounds like she’s either given up on dating apps for good or that she figured out how to use them to her, er, benefit. If she’s being safe and is happy with her rotation of lovers, then good for her. Society places so many rules, expectations, and labels on the way a woman should behave or talk about sex and I love that Fran just said it proudly with her whole chest. I also love that when the Page Six reporter gasped upon hearing that a 67-year-old woman enjoyed having multiple partners, Fran simply replied, ”I’m Fran Drescher. What do you think?” You know that’s the same confidence that she took into the SAG negotiation meetings. Oh, and I’m presuming that the members of her rotation know about one another or else Fran just possibly did the wildest thing ever.

Good for you Fran!! Enjoy your life to its fullest 😉.
“I’m Fran Drescher,” she scoffed. “What do you think?!” DAMN RIGHT!
That needs to be my go to reply for everything now
Hell yes, Fran!!!!!!!!
Atta girl!
If this works for her and everyone is being safe, all the power to them. It’s nice to hear more open and honest dialogue from women like Fran.
I am on the road to that I think.
If a relationship doesn’t add something positive to my life it’s not worth.
I have lovers and I like seeing them when we both have time, and enjoy each other’s company.
I admire the lifestyle, but I’m afraid I don’t have enough courage to do that. Maybe one day I’ll be that woman. I hope so.
I love this, go Fran!!!
I also find it lovely that she and her ex-husband are still so close. It sounds like she’s never getting over the emotional love they shared, at least to a point where she feels able to offer more to someone new, and that’s okay. In fact, it’s beautiful.
