Remember when Madonna did her own fashion line for H&M? It was all overpriced tracksuits and the clothing just sat collecting dust on the racks. Not many people want to pay top dollar for sweatsuits and if they do they want a name like “juicy” on their ass that shows everyone that they overpaid. Personally, I always change into jeans before and after the gym because I’d rather look like I’m trying, but I understand the lure of the sweatsuit. (I’m probably going to order the pajama jeans for maximum comfort and less stigma, but then I’m in the position of looking like I wear jeans to work out in.)
Anyway Madonna is about to launch her own fashion line for Macys. I have the feeling this will have the same outcome as her H&M line.
Madonna is reportedly in talks to launch her own fashion line to be sold exclusively at Macy’s.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the Material Mom’s line would include apparel, accessories, underwear and shoes.
Names under consideration for Madonna’s line include “Material Girl” (one of her nicknames during the 80s) and “Truth or Dare” (the title of her 1991 documentary).
According to WWD, a deal is close to being signed, but the parties involved remained mum on the material matter.
Madonna recently left her long-time music label – Warner Bros. Records – to sign a 10-year 360 deal with LiveNation.
A rep for Madonna was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood. When contacted by WWD a rep for Macy’s declined to comment on the rumored line.

Will we be treated to sweatsuits in all colors of the rainbow or is Madonna going to grace us with a remix of Ed Hardy douche wear? To be fair to Madonna, she does seem to have changed her wardrobe since she got divorced and started dating that 23 year-old Brazilian model. She’s still wearing giant furry hats and trucker gear, but her event wear is sometimes acceptable. I doubt she’ll come up with anything that varies much from the unimpressive way she usually dresses. She could possible make basic black staples well, I’ll give her that.
Well, one thing’s for certain: she won’t be designing anything for us so-called “big girls.” You know, the size 12 and up crowd.
Actually 4, is now considered “big”.
I think they ought to name this line “Sorry”.
I don’t get it, I mean who is her target market? Elderly women who long to still be 25? Gay men buying their Mother’s Day gifts?
lol @ pajama jeans.
I’m putting pajama jeans on my wish list! Oh, the places I’ll go – !
I’ve never be wowed by Madonna’s fashion. Hope it’s not the same old leather biker jackets over a dressy outfit like Katie Holmes pushes.
God my Mom is going to look hot in that cone bra.
Not every star has to a jack of all trades! Madonna, your music is amazing, and your dance skills are fantastic, and let’s face it, you’re way more ripped than my boyfriend! You’re… just not… look, your fashion sucks. It’s not personal. It’s just no one wants to wear what you do.
Ron: LOL
look at that cute ba-by.
The problem with plastic surgery – aside from the creepiness of having toxic plastics and synthetic fats embedded IN your body: gross – is that it never seems to last. Looks good at first (if you’re lucky) but then you keep aging AROUND the plastic. So, you end up looking like a melting wax museum figure. And need to go back under the knife. Again and again, ad infinitum. Poor celebs. Don’t they get it?
Madonna, Gaga has smoked your vapor trail. Give it up and design baby blankets.
This woman is NOT known for her fashion choices so I find it hard to believe that anything she creates will be a best-seller on anyone’s list!
Hello may I use some of the insight from this blog if I link back to you?
I think madonna’s fashion sense is terrible noone’s going to walk out of the house with a detachable cone bra and detachable knickers!!!!
I actually feel sorry for her because I think i know whats happened here, she is one of those people who get confused with their own passionate nature and try to do everything not because they are good at it but simply because they are just passionate i think she needs to listen to the advice that she gives out:
” fashion, used to be her playground and her childhood dream!!!”
Also she could benefit from ignoring passion and stick with a bit of common sense sometimes its simply not possibly to know everything and it would be foolish to even try.
Sorry, but I don’t are in agreement with you here. I don’t this way approach. But it’s an excellent start off. Perhaps with some increased information I could be capable of understand it all the more?
