Lupita Nyong’o wore a crisp & caped Chanel suit to the 2025 Met Gala

This post is for the Chanel girls! Lupita Nyong’o is now a Chanel brand ambassador and the collaboration is going much better than I expected. Instead of Chanel dragging down Lupita’s style, she’s elevating the brand and they’re creating some really beautiful and unique pieces for her. Chanel created this stunning look for the Met Gala – an icy blue double-breasted suit with a sheer cape. I loved how many women interpreted this year’s theme in this way – going for hyper-tailored pantsuits, but with tons of character and drama. Stunning!

Blackpink’s Jennie (Jennie Kim) also wore Chanel. Her look really slapped – she was being praised far and wide for her interpretation of the Superfine theme, and the whole look was just really cool!

Dua Lipa also wore Chanel. Dua’s look was really meh, IMO. But she brought her boyfriend Callum Turner, so that livened things up.

I LOVED Lupita’s look. To me, she and Whoopi had the two best pantsuit looks of the night. This was tailored and “clean” but still very dramatic and not at all boring and very on theme. she looked fabulous.

also a big fan of Jennie’s look. very dramatic and if there’s a place to be dramatic in your fashion, its the met gala.

i love all the looks from the Met.
    Why?
Cause I am TIRED of seeing sheer looks and I didn’t see any sheers last night.
    The suits were amazing!!

Chanel really hit it out of the park. My 2 favourite looks. I wonder if their new stylist is already making his mark.

That minty color on Lupita? I die. She is just so gorgeous.

    Also loved Jennie Kim.

This right here. That color on Lupita was spectacular, didn’t love love the hat, but the suit, the color, the “cape” was chef’s kiss!

Jennie Kim also looked great, so stylish, so on point.

Jennie & Lupita looked great. Didn’t like L’s hat though. Dua? Meh.

  6. Elizabeth says:

Lupita’s hat was too small and worn too far back. If it had been bigger and worn more forward, it would have looked more proportional.
