Robert Pattinson was on The Daily Show last night, and it was pretty spectacular. Jon Stewart was very sweet to Sparkles, but Jon did stay to the tried-and-trued line of questioning about Sparkles’ crazy fan base. I think the Twihards infiltrated the audience, just judging from the girlish shrieks of delight when Sparkles finally came out. Although, to be honest, I almost squealed with delight too.
All in all, I think Sparkles handled himself very well on the show, and he’s been handling himself very well throughout this whole press tour. During the Twilight promotions, Sparkles can seem a little… vapid? Is that the right word? Like, he doesn’t really have anything to say, he’s just there to look pretty. But on this Remember Me promo trail, he’s showing more personality, and it’s a pretty sweet, charming, intelligent personality. He seemed comfortable with Jon, and he laughed at many of Jon’s jokes. One of my favorites was when Jon got all Twihard-y and geeked out on how “Bella is just using Jacob as a crutch… Bella and Edward belong together!”
My favorite quote, from Jon: “Do you dabble in music because you were worried you wouldn’t get laid enough?” Chuckle.
But Sparkles’ hair! Jesus, I want to comb this boy’s hair. I guess it’s his “thing”. But this looks like the most hellish bedhead ever.
I thought he was charming, though he seemed really nervous. The fangirl screaming was a little annoying, probably because I’m a big Daily Show fan that it was so out of place. I really think that the kids who go crazy for stars have no idea how crazy they seem… but I can’t help but wonder if they really think that shrieking at a celebrity is going to make him think oh, you know what? I WOULD like to get to know you, crazy screaming lady. Maybe we should get married.
I like this guy but the minute those twihards or whatever they refer to themselves as come into the picture… I get a bad taste in my mouth. I think I will appreciate him more in 7 years or so if he is still around and this damn sparkling vampire crap has been and gone.
And how can you not laugh at Jon?
I don’t know if it still applies, but I remember right after Twilight came out, he said he wanted to cut his hair but the studio (?) wouldn’t let him.
He seems sort of shy. Or he’s really stupid. He generally has three looks: drunk out of his mind, stoned out of his mind or dirty pervert with greasy hair.
Not that he isn’t cute sometimes, but it’s usually when he’s one of the three options still.
I watched him on The View yesterday, maybe he fuglies himself kind of like Brad Pitt does, to deflect from people overfocussing on his looks. He looked skidgy and vapid on the View but he is young and seems sweet, though Barbara Walters bumbled the interview-I wish Whoopi was there to bring some sanity to it.On the Daily Show I liked his shy laugh-sweet. Jon seemed amused by the screaming girls.

I don’t think he is that cute, but he does that that certain something that makes me a little hot.

Well isn’t he in his early 20’s so how is he suppose to look. I don’t know i think he’s appearance is growing on me. It’s better than those over groomed pretty boys and he seems like he’s got a brain. His new movie looks so much better then the twilight crap anyway.
He’s a cute and charming guy, seems kind of real to me not a Hollywood persona.
I like him a lot. It is the interviews that are stupid, not RP.
Strange choice that he was even on the Daily Show.
I liked him a lot on all these interviews. I thought he comes off very charming and intelligent.
