It’s been a little while since we’ve had a good Suri Cruise fashion moment, but fortunately Katie decided little Suri needed to go to ballet classes in New York yesterday. I think Suri is growing up to a really pretty little girl, and she really seems to have a very intelligent little face too. Like she’s always processing what’s happening around her, taking everything in, and she’s not too impressed. Empress Zahara has the same little look – like she knows what’s up and she’s not pleased. Fashion watchers are already noting that Suri isn’t decked out in some kind of absurdly expensive doll dress, styled with red lipstick and heels. In addition to the ballerina gear, Suri decided she needed her Princess Barbie umbrella. Of course! Katie’s style is still a f-cking mess though. She looks like a bag lady.
We can’t quite believe it. Suri Cruise is actually dressed like a three-year-old. No red lipstick, no £500 Ferragamo bag, no heels – just a cute ballerina tutu and a Princess Barbie umbrella.
The cuter-than-is-humanly-possible little one was spending some quality time with mum, Katie Holmes, as they headed to Le Pain Quotidien for some dinner.
Suri Cruise’s fashion choices have sparked a fair amount of controversy over the past few months as people questioned, rightly, whether a three-year-old should be wearing make-up and high heels. Perhaps her parents are just letting her dress how she wants to, and that it’s only because she’s in the public eye that pictures of her dressed as such are seen by so many people. We know that, when we were that age, we copied mummy’s lipstick and tried on her high heels. However, we didn’t have mega famous parents who should probably know better than to let us go out like that.

Katie also took Suri out for a lunch with friends. I always love to see photos of Katie with someone other than Tom or Suri (even though Suri was at this lunch, obviously). Katie always looks so much more animated and alive when she’s not being beaten down by Xenu:

suri is cute, but I never believed for a minute that she’s the age they claim.
I know Holmes is tall, but Suri looks too big to be only almost-4, even for a tall kid.

As a preschool teacher, I can tell you that she looks to be about four, possibly tall for her age. She does not look five and if she is three, then she looks like she’s getting close to four.

Many, many celebs have children (and shouldn’t, but that is besides the point) but yet we never see them. Put Suri and that clan away for a little while, PLEASE. And take Jennifer Aniston as well.

My 4 y/o daughter has always looked older then she is because she is tall and very verbal. When she was 3 people thought she was 4. There’s no conspiracy.

@nnn- OMG! i thought she really looked like a younger Lourdes too! thats so funny, glad i wasn’t the only one. i actually think she looks like a really pretty, beautiful little girl in this. i think her long hair is really helping, somehow in the last few months she lost the “babyness” in her face. i’m going through the same thing with my daughter right now who will be 4 in a couple weeks. i saw a picture that my friend took of her the other day and i was just shocked at how much older and more mature she looked! i guess because i see her all day everyday i didn’t notice it before, but that photo just happened to capture it perfectly and i was stunned! i realized my baby is growing up…and i think that’s exactly what’s happening with suri and she’s looks adorable ♥

My son is almost four, and only has the last bits of baby fat- some in his cheeks, and a bit on the back of his hands. It’s hard seeing them grow up!
And for those here who are bashing the kid’s looks…it’s just wrong. She’s a child. She didn’t ask to be in her situation, and is a total innocent. Leave her be.
TG- I was thinking the exact same thing!! Anytime I feel depressed or down I too look like shit. And I was thinking how poor KatIE (she is no KATE!!) must be feeling soooo down. After all she’s been dressing like she doesn’t care for how long now? Doesn’t she still hang out with Victoria Beckham? When she did she always looked classy even if that too was a tad bit of an aged look.
