I feel like I was one of the few who was actually shocked at the news that Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva had broken up. Not that they seemed like such a tremendously solid couple, or that I thought they were going to make it last forever, but I truly had a higher opinion of Oksana’s golddigging skills. She didn’t even get Mel to marry her! But she did get knocked up with Lil’ Cash Money, also known as their daughter Lucia. Which means that for the next 18 years, Mel is going to be shelling out for child support. People Mag spoke to an attorney who doesn’t really have anything to do with Mel or Oksana, and the lawyer has a guess about what the payout for Oksana is going to be:

According to a family law specialist, the wealthy actor-director-producer will likely pay a large amount of child support to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva for their 5-month-old daughter, Lucia, but probably has no legal responsibility to make alimony payments, given the fact they were not married.
“This is not dissolution of marriage action. The mother would have rights to child support, which in the case of Mr. Gibson, will be very substantial,” says attorney Steven Knowles, who estimates support of $12,000 to $15,000 a month. “He is what we call a high-income earner, and there is a high-income earner stipulation that says they must pay any amount reasonably necessary for the support of the child.”
But Gibson, who already is in the midst of a divorce from his wife of three decades, Robyn, likely won’t pay alimony to Grigorieva because they were never married, even under California’s famous Marvin palimony laws for unmarried couples.
“Merely living together and having a child does not give the mother any rights to property and certainly no spousal support,” says Knowles, who’s not involved in the Gibson action.
A close friend of the couple calls the split “amicable,” adding, “They’re still friends and they’ll both raise Lucia together.”

So Oksana and Lucia will get somewhere in the vicinity of $144,000 to $180,000 a year? Doesn’t that seem like too little? If Mel’s ex-wife Robyn took anywhere from 30-50% of Mel’s estate in the divorce, Mel is still worth around $500 million, give or take a hundred million. Of course, before they broke up, Mel bought Oksana a $2.4 million home, several cars, jewelry and assorted goodies. My guess is that Mel will end up paying out a lot more to Oksana and Lucia, and this lawyer dude’s guess is an underestimation.

Oksana gave a press conference today in Moscow to promote her music. She was asked if it is true that she parted with Mel Gibson. Oksana said yes, it’s true, we parted by mutual consent but remain friends. Raising a child, we will be together. Lucia is now with my mom in Los Angeles.

$180,000 a year is more like $300,000 a year after the taxes that Mel will pay. Child support is tax-free for the custodial parent. This won’t be decided in court though. Mel’s people probably drafted the paperwork for child support and custody as soon as they found out Oksana was pregnant.

The title of this post should be “How much will Mel Gibson have to pay in baby mama support?” He’s always had his side piece women sign confidentiality agreements, so I’ll bet Oksana’s getting a big bunch of cash just to keep her mouth shut. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Mel keeps bankrolling her fake music and charity careers as part of the deal. As I’ve said in previous comments Oksana is not just a gold digger, she’s a mega fame whore!
Purely aesthetically speaking, Mel should have hopped aboard the botox train before his forehead developed those crazy deep lines. Also those folds between nose and mouth don’t look plumped out with filler at all..

I strongly believe they had a big “BLOW UP” not the “friendly” terms other reports show. On Wonderwall she says she denied media reports that Mel asked for paternity test (c’mon you think a man with money is going to NOT request paternity test? But she also says that “there have been a lot of lies said about them” I DO BELIEVE that maybe the majority of those “lies” are true!). She is wanting to get rid of a tatoo that “Mel wanted her to get”? Why do I question that? I am waiting to hear Mel’s response to the tatoo now and I think we are going to find out just how “friendly” their break up was.
Back in January I felt strongly that their breakup was going to be in a couple of months because of her demanding/controlling attitude, pushing marriage, and Mel’s emotional state is a wreck and he doesn’t want to be “saddled” with a baby. It’s only understandable: the majority of men in this kind of situation would not want to have anything to do with the kid – Mel didn’t “rush” to be there when the baby was born, he got there several hours AFTER the baby was born! Neither did he stay 4 days with her – he was back in New York on Monday for the movie! She also said that they have been together for 3 (three) years and some other reports said they have been “dating” a year and they MET ON THE SET OF EOD????
I have to say, I think NE has a lot more truth in their reports and a solid resource.
$12,000 – $15,000 A MONTH in child support is more than enough to stay home and live VERY comfortably. But the house “he bought” I don’t think is truly hers (is it in her name? If it’s not then it’s not HER house!) I think that is the one Icon bought. And if she has jewelry and cars then she will have that to go “hock” when money gets tight and she gets in financial bind. hahahaha.

If the truth about the split is to be revealed soon, I sure as hell hope it doesn’t involve Mel begging his wife to reconsider and Robyn saying, “Yeah okay.” That’s a whole lot of loot he’s parting with and like I said, even HE must have quaked in his boots at the low celebrity turnout at his LA comeback premier. And no end in sight.
I don’t think it was ever confirmed he “gave” a house to his mistress. Just that she allegedly lived in a house owned by his company. I think it was an assumption erroneously reported by tabloids and repeated. But I think it’s likely she’ll get a lump sum and maybe cars. However no one would believe her stories or a book she wrote. And his lawyers could beat up her lawyers easy.
I think the term “private concert” is hilarious. It basically means Mel sponsored an event (planned when Mel was still in the picture) for rich people interested in Mel, because no one would pay for a her as a headliner otherwise. She’ll play that card as long as she can.

It would make no sense for him to continue to bankroll Oksana’s “creative endeavors” unless she signs a confidentiality agreement, if there isn’t one already “in force”. Legally, he’s more or less “a bachelor” now and is only obligated to maintain his daughter in a “lifestyle that is fairly comparable to his own”. His pending divorce and lackluster performance at the box office has significantly reduced the value of his estate. A sharp reduction in his “taxable” income would affect his actual child support obligations. As long as all of his daughter’s essential needs are met in manner that does not diminish his upper class status, very large monthly support payments can be reduced. He’s probably been very careful to ensure that Lucia wants for nothing. She lives in a very well-to-do home, has first rate medical attention and is looked after by a caring and attentive household staff. As she grows up, she’ll receive an education comparable to the rest of his children. The purpose of child support is to ensure the maintenance of a child’s overall well being — not necessarily to enrich their mothers.

They really looked uncomfortable for those pic’s they seemed to be posing for the media, I truly can’t see Mel jumping straight into another relationship for a while, not after this fiasco, And I still keep returning to the gossip here remember Mel getting cold feet, Having feelings for Robyn and his old life style.
