Back in January, Michael C. Hall announced that he was in remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma. When photos of Hall came out around that time, he looked very sick – he had lost weight, he had lost his hair (presumably from chemo), and he just looked pale and drawn and tired. Considering you never hear anything negative about the guy, and everyone always seems to sing his praises as an actor, as a professional, and as an all-around good guy, Hall pretty much had the well-wishes of everyone in Hollywood. It now looks like Michael is doing much, much better – these photos are of Hall on the set of a film in New York. He looks good, doesn’t he?
Michael C Hall has been bravely battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and it looks like he is definitely winning the fight.
RadarOnline.com is glad to be able to bring you the pictures that show the Dexter star looking hearty and healthy once again.
Hall, who lost all his hair due to chemotherapy treatments, and appeared frail and sickly at the Golden Globe awards just months ago, was spotted on location as he returned to work Monday.
The actor was kitted out in a very convincing wig as he filmed scenes for his upcoming movie, East Fifth Bliss.
Movie goers will be in for a surprise, as the film is a comedy, a distinct change of pace from Michael C Hall’s Dexter character – who is a vicious, though moralistic, serial killer.

Aw, he’s doing a comedy. That’s good. Dexter has some really funny parts in it too, and it’s not like Michael C. Hall hasn’t done dark comedy or tragic-comedy in a million different ways. I wonder if this is a romantic comedy? Hm. Anyway, I was just so happy that Michael looks so much better, healthier and stronger than when I’d last seen photos of him. He seems like such a sweetheart, so I hope he kicked cancer’s ass for good.
Glad he’s doing OK, hope he continues to get better!
I’m glad he’s doing well. Loved him in SFU and LOVE Dexter but I’m glad the wife is gone. She was annoying.
looking good
Yay! Glad to hear it.
I have never watched Dexter, it sounds like it might exceed my gross-meter, but I absolutely loved MCH in SFU. Brilliant actor, brilliant show (although I think SFU jumped the shark in the 3rd season and then proceeded to die a slow death of suckage, but I digress).
I am so glad to hear he’s better. It looks like the Hodgkins took a lot out of him though. He looks haggard, poor guy. He’s younger than me and he’s looking at least 5 years older. Here’s hoping he remains cancer free for life! *raising coffee mug*
He used to be one of my bar customers, and is IS a good guy.
So glad to hear you’re doing better Mike! Stay healthy!
“Dexter” is an amazing show and he’s a fabulous actor. I’m mesmerized when I watch him in that show. I truly hope he is feeling better. He’s the type of person that I feel like I’d like to meet him in real life. That he’s true blue. I don’t feel strongly about many celebrities but he’s just outstanding.
Looks like Tom Brady.
yay! he looks so much better! he’s such a great actor.
OMG I love him! He was sooo great in SFU & Dexter is just AMAZING! He def looks like the kind of guy sumone could just kick it with. I feel the same way abt Matt Damon and I was spot on when I met him…so unbelievably sweet and down to earth.
Drinks w Michael C Hall & Matt Damon…that’d be a hilarious nite!
God bless him, and I hope he stays well.
I found out I had non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in January and I have recently been tested as normal, which means I’m looking like I’m going into remission! YAY! One more month of chemo to go, and then recovery.
Stay strong, Michael.
gg — Congrats on the great news! Keep winning the good fight!
@gg – stay healthy!
That explains why he was wearing that annoying hat at the various awards shows. The hat seems a lot less annoying now.
YEA!!!! Stay healthy!! We adore your work!
Thank you for the nice wishes! I am thrilled to be getting well again. 😀
@meme I loved Rita on Dexter, and I’m very sad they killed her off. I know many fans were annoyed by her last season. But, she was the Dexter’s only hope for happiness and normalcy. I’m afraid now that she’s gone, his “dark passenger” will take over completely.
I’ve lost a few people in my life to cancer over the last few years, and this may be cheezy, but it’s so good to here of someone surviving — what a blessing that such a talent has been given a second chance.
They totally went the wrong way with Rita. She should’ve been in on it and cool with it. That could have been the deal in season 2 but…sigh. Oh well. Since they didn’t make Rita a confidante, I’m glad she’s gone from the show.
I’m so glad Hall is in remission. He is still so very young and he seems like a really good person.
Yay! I’m so glad he’s better. Love SFU and love Dexter. Own every (available) season of both!
I LOVE him. Good on ya, Michael C.Hall! One of my favourite actors ever..
gg, hang in there and best wishes to you! I have only watched a few episodes of the first season of Dexter, but I am looking forward to catching up. Guess his wife dies….isn’t that his real life wife, too? Dexter is awesome, but Six Feet Under was more my style…still I love me some Michael C. Hall! Happy to see he is looking better!
Dumb question, but what is SFU? I know when ya’ll tell me I’m going to kick myself, but I have no idea what show you are referencing.
I’ve only seen the first 2 seasons of Dexter 🙁 Gonna have to buy the rest, but anyway….very good news this is! An extremely good actor that Michael C Hall. Best wishes and good health! (And god, he’s friggin hot!)
@PrettyTarheelFan, SFU means Six Feet Under and it was another show where Hall played one of the leading roles – David Fisher who was a funeral director and a gay. completely different character than dexter but he was perfect in this role too.
I love Mchael and I’m so happy to see him in better shape 🙂
but I hope this comedy is not a romantic one :]
PrettyTarhee – SFU is short for six feet under
