Showing that notoriety, begging, and trying to pass yourself off as an average working mom can’t make up for a lack of talent, s weeping Kate Gosselin was voted off Dancing with The Stars last night. We won’t be subjected to her strutting around in another bad outfit next week and hopefully she’ll get less press coverage. I’m beginning to find Kate more annoying than Octomom at the height of her fame.

In fact there’s so much news about this woman that I don’t know where to start. There’s the elimination, where she thanked her fans, there are her near-constant interviews, where she tries to hammer home the tired point that she’s just like the rest of us working moms trying to make ends meet, and there’s this latest sort-of sympathetic cover story in In Touch, in which they claim Kate is crying “tears of loneliness.” I bet the In Touch people are kicking themselves that they put this out before the elimination. Maybe they don’t care because it will increase sales.

Even before she was booted from “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night, seeing Kate Gosselin in tears had become a common occurrence.

Was the crying something she was doing for sympathy? Was it a failed attempt to garner votes to keep her on “DWTS”?

Skeptics would like to think so, but according to a friend of the mom/reality star, that’s not the case. Really, Gosselin is feeling pretty alone these days.

“She’s lonely, unhappy and doesn’t really know who in the world she can trust,” a Gosselin friend told In Touch Weekly. “Her emotions are getting the best of her.”

And her emotions were amplified by the exhaustion that comes from traveling between her home in Pennsylvania and the show in Los Angeles, which resulted in her being less-than-personable at times while taping the show. In fact, the magazine alleges that Gosselin’s mood has resulted in an upsetting on-set nickname, too: “Hate Gosselin.”

Pre-elimination, another source said that Gosselin is just doing the best she can. “She’s juggling a lot right now, and doesn’t have the time to bond (with other contestants) like the people living and taping the show in L.A.,” said the source. “She’s a working mom.”

Perhaps now that she’s been eliminated from the competition, we’ll see fewer tears.

This has Kate’s stink all over it. “She’s juggling a lot,” “she’s a working mom,” “poor Kate,” etc. At least we learned that she’s called Hate Gosselin. That’s a little more obvious than kHate.

I won’t go over all that other Kate Gosselin news, but I have to mention this really amusing new blog entry she penned where she talks about how she’s such a normal mom. We get it, Hate! Here are a few choice excerpts:

Following a shoot that goes well, especially if it’s for a new book cover or the promo shots for a new show, I feel good — accomplished, pumped and exhausted. But I’m always brought right back to reality when I get home. My little critics excitedly look at the pictures, tilt their heads to the side and say, in a very perplexed manner, “Mommy? Is that you?”

Yep. It’s me. Under all that glitz. It’s the same old dirty T-shirt-and-sweat-pants-wearing, barking-orders, cooking-in-the-kitchen, frazzled me. It’s really fun to play “dress up,” as my 5 year olds call it, but when the day is said and done, I’m always right back at home, cooking dinner, cleaning it up, packing lunches, giving baths and overseeing homework!

Thanks, kids. You keep me in the real world … exactly where I belong!
