Hayden Panettiere was out last night with her massive Ukrainian boxer boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko, for the Earth Day screening of Avatar in LA. Hayden showed off her new haircut, a very short, slicked back ‘do. This girl really changes her appearance all the time, because I thought she was still a blonde. But apparently she’s been brunette for a while now…? So where she was once a cheerleader type with longish blonde hair, she’s now a girl with very short reddish-brown hair. I’m not a short-hair hater, especially if the girl has the face to pull it off – and look how Hayden’s pretty eyes and high cheekbones “pop” now.
I think it looks cute. I’m finding it very Sharon Stone, you know? Especially the way Hayden has it slicked back, which isn’t a look many women can pull off. I don’t really care for the sideburns, but whatever. Maybe that’s what the Ukrainian likes? He doesn’t look like he’s very bright, but I may be prejudiced against giants. By the way, whatever happened to those boob job rumors? If she did have implants, maybe she got them taken out? Because she’s back to looking smallish to me.

I don’t really like it. From the sides it’s not so bad, but from the front I don’t think it’s at all flattering to her face. It does make her look a lot older.

I think that since she is so short in stature, long hair made her look very stumpy. The shorter hair is better for her. In my opinion.

It would be great if the colour weren’t so washed out. Either dark chocolate brown/black or a dazzling bleached blonde, but that middling reddish mistake is doing her no favours.
The makeup is really aging too – does she have some issues being young, does she WANT to look twenty years older than she is?
I like it a lot. It’s true, it does age her, but it also makes her look more respectable, which can be a good move if she wants more serious roles.

O.K., now I LOVE short cuts and this girl has the opportunity to have the very BEST stylist in town give her a great cut, and this isn’t it! It’s nasty! I’m with Just a Poster, it looks like something went horribly wrong during a process, and they had to chop it off. In that first pic, there are 80 different lengths going on in the back, and the scruff at the nape of her neck. Ick.
I agree with most of the comments – short looks good with her face but it does make her look older. I think the cut looks a little rough and uneven at the back of her head though but over all looks good on her.
Yeah, the boyfriend is REALLY educated. I can’t remember all the deets, but he and his brother are pretty big stars in Russia/Europe- I think he has a few advanced degrees and is known for being urbane.

This is her trying to look like a serious actor, and maybe get some real acting parts, by parting with her girlish hair. Personally, it’s not necessarily that I think it’s a bad length for her. But I don’t think the cut (or color for that matter) look good at all on her. She should have gone chin length bob in my opinion.

I love it! I’ve wanted the same hairdo for some time. It makes her look older, but so did the brown hair and this is much better.
I think it looks awful, and I’m a fan of short hair on women. Short hair brings out your neck and body though. If you’re not long and lean enough looking, it can make you look bigger than you really are. Her body is already short, stumpy and wide in a few places. Please don’t take me the wrong way, I ain’t callin’ her fat. She’s just got short, wide bone structure, and I think this look is extremely UN-flattering to her. And no offense to anybody who likes her, but her acting has always driven me insane.

This is what happens when you want to get rid of a weave. You end up with a choppy looking haircut.
But she is so young and if she leaves it alone for 6 months, she will have alot better looking hair.

Short hair on her is not cute. This is a classic example of having hair-ADD: wanting to change without really thinking it out. The girl changes her hair every time we see her. And this look is terrible.
It’s not going to get her better parts. All it does is age her, and not in a good way. She isn’t pretty enough in the face or feminine enough in the body to pull of a severe, short cut like that slicked away from the face. She looks like a 50 year old with the best plastic surgeon in the world.

Mhm… She’s 5ft of 5’1″. Roughly within that range. So? Yes, I guess it’s small, but is it really that much of a big deal? There are plenty of girls/women out there that are that height or smaller, even other celebrities. Does that give you the right to look down on someone?
Think about it, Hayden’s… Perfect! She cannot be faulted whatsoever. So y’know, because the media/haters ALWAYS have to criticize celebs, all they can bad-mouth about is her height, because really, what else can the media/haters say?! I guess if the only down-side to her is her height, then that’s pretty good, because height is unnecessary, thus nothing wrong with Hayden. What difference does it make? She’s still beautiful, passionate about what she does, hard-working, enthusiastic, generous, thoughtful, and lastly the thing that she deserves being: She’s rich. OK, if you are still criticizing her, just think about yourself. How tall are you? Has it made a huge improvement in your life from being specifically that height? What have you achieved that is more impressive and successful than what Hayden has? (Starring roles in TV programmes/movies)
Do you doing anything for what you are passionate about? (She is passionate about animals, e.g. whales, and has also protested to have whales treated respectfully to such an extent that she has risked her life and and almost been arrested. She obviously doesn’t do that just to give herself a good name, otherwise she wouldn’t be willing to risk her own life or risk being arrested. She is definitely passionate about what she believes in, which is very very good). Lulz, I find it amazing that she’s able to do all this extra work for the environment and animals ONTOP of other work, e.g. Learning and acting for scripts for TV programmes (Heroes, she starred in that), movies and events that she has to attend to. I’m sure there are many other types of work which I have not said as I am not aware of it. She probably makes most of her work look minor, when in reality it is difficult, thus making others not aware of the other work that she does. This clearly shows that she is very successful and that height is unnecessary.
And for her wearing heels? It is fashionable to wear heels. Is she not allowed to wear heels purely because she’s 5ft/5’1″? That’s silly. And anyway if she didn’t, people would still criticize her, not only for her height, but for being “unfashionable”. Especially to important events. In my personal opinion, I don’t think it’s unfashionable at all, but I’m sure people would say that it is. On the other hand I do understand the importance of wearing heels to important events. Most other celebrity women also wear heels (OBVIOUSLY), and if you didn’t know that then you live under a rock.
Also there are plenty of haters out there, who have never even met Hayden or think badly on purely because of the voice of the media, or pictures (let me just tell you, if you have a low opinion of her because of pictures, you don’t know what beautiful is).
And for the people that think she’s fat? OK, well just picture a fat person in your head and then compare it with Hayden. Now what d’you think? For her height, she is an average weight. At least she’s not a size zero like a lot of the Hollywood actors/singers/models. This shows she can take care of her health and not starve herself to death, and also this shows that lack of food is not the cause to her height. Some people naturally just don’t grow as much as others, but as said before, this is unnecessary. She always looks amazing, with her hair either long or short. Beautiful.
