I thought Michael K at Dlisted was joking when he called this “And Then They Shot Him”. Not only does Christina Aguilera call out the dude who dares to interrupt her interview by coughing, she actually says, “Shoot him.” I’m sure she’s joking, right? I’m sure the poor crew guy wasn’t taken to Aguilera-approved bedazzled woodshed where he was shot by a firing squad of drag queens.
Christina’s new album Bionic comes out in little more than a month, and I’ve got to wonder if she really needs this thing to be a hit? Is that why she’s heavily promoting this thing and demading coughers to be shot on sight? Or is she afraid she’s irrelevant now that we have Lady Gaga? As CB mentioned last week, Christina addressed the “copying Lady Gaga” criticism recently, saying: “It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on. I’ve been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself. No rip-offs, we’re inspired by different things. I love that there are newcomers… they’re risk-takers. I always had the guts and passion to do things like that.” I hate to say it, but I kind of agree with Christina. She’s been a pop star for way longer than Gaga, and Christina has done several remakes on her image over that time. Maybe you could accuse her current remade image as being Gaga-esque, but Christina still seems to be channeling Madonna to my eyes.
Oh, and Christina is also going to be on the finale on American Idol, if anyone cares.
Wow. I really hate that passive aggressive way people laugh too loud after saying something rude and inappropriate. Like, “Haha – I was TOTALLY joking” but she wasn’t. What a bitch.
Where’s the rumours of that Gaga creature copying Aguilera? Because Aguilera’s been on the music scene much, much longer than the other thing.
Articles like this are why I still think she’s not very nice, even though she’s been trying real hard to act like (cue Kate Gosselin) an everyday working mother.

Christina may have seniority, but the industry is fickle. Only her album sales will tell. Her last go round flopped. She’s a legimitately gifted vocalist, but I don’t think the similarity in image compared to Gaga is going to be any help to her despite that she’s been around longer.

She has always come off to me as very, very insecure and bitchy. She was “joking” but notice how she won’t make eye contact. If she was really being a nice person, she would have looked up and given a warm smile.
The caked on makeup though has always looked terrible on her.
She is from Pittsburgh, where I live, and I heard from someone who was hired to do her nails that they were not allowed to talk to her or make eye contact.
People from her high school have said she smells like hot dogs, too.
She is very talented, but I agree, she has always come off as insecure and unhappy to me. Probably from all the ridicule she endured as a kid. Who wants to be told they smell like hot dogs in high school. Yikes!

I have known that she is very hateful for a while. My Sister is a flight attendant and Ms. Aguilera as she likes to be called is and has always been very rude and hateful to everyone on the plane especially the Crew working the flight.
Whether or not she made that comment is irrelevant, making any such rude comment is showing one’s lack of good manners.

What’s even more sad is while should be so grateful to get out of “Sh*itsburgh” and be a happier person to leave such a horrific town, there are so many of us dumb hick yinzers who are really happy living here. I guess we just don’t know any better. Maybe the atrocities that we face living in Pittsburgh have damaged Ms. Aguilera to the point of ruin.

It’s funny because the people who have worked with her always talk about how professional and nice she is. She keeps her head down, she minds her own business, and she has always been upfront about who she is. I like her because she’s one of the only pop stars who didn’t play the virgin game (Britney, Beyonce, Hillary) and she’s always been outspoken. And she’s clearly joking but I guess sarcasm is lost on some people.

C.A. has only taken “risks” in her taste in clothing. Her music is uber pedestrian. Yes, she has a lot of vibrato in her voice if you like that sort of thing, but she’s not a quarter of the artist Gaga is. C.A.’s more “across the board” in terms of reaching mass people. So what. So is Celine Dion.

REALLY??? I HOPE she was kidding. I think that interview person could have had a dry throat, they weren’t being rude. I’ve been surching hours and hours, after watching a video about selebs speaking about her and her, talking about selebs. I’ve been digging and digging for a proof that it’s not true, because I’ve loved her since I was a litte girl, but now…Now I see that she is rude, mean, throws her gum at the people who came to see her and tell her how much they love and admire her(from the mentioned video)…I’m so dissapointed. I know here no body cares for anyone, but she was like an idol to me, a person who I admired and wanted to be when I was little. That is over now. And mebye for the best. I’ll still love her voice, but will never like the person after all of the crap i read and seen. She has her dedicated fans, I just hope they know what she really is.
