I remember reading that Isla Fisher, Sacha Baron Cohen’s wife, was pregnant with the couple’s second child, but it kind of slipped my mind because we don’t hear much about the two of them. There was some minor drama a couple of years ago about whether they would ever get married, which they did in March after Isla reportedly converted to Judiasm. It took eight years and two kids together before they made it legal. Apart from that we rarely hear about them although there are the occasional paparazzi photos of Isla out with their daughter.
Now we have some candids of Sacha, Isla, their oldest child Olive, two and a half, and a baby carriage presumably carrying their new arrival. They looked pissed as hell to be photographed out together in the photos we’ve seen. (Which we don’t have access to, you can see a photo on Celebrity Baby Scoop and another one on E! Online and People has a third.) They seem to be very protective of their family, and I guess I don’t blame them. They didn’t confirm Isla’s pregnancy and they’ve refused to confirm the new baby or even the gender. Is this a bitchy move or something they should be respected for?
Who’s that strolling in London Friday with Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher and 2½-year-old daughter Olive?
It seems as though the trio has welcomed the latest addition to their family, although a rep for the actress says they likely won’t be commenting on the birth of the new baby.
The intensely private pair prefer it that way, having kept quiet about the impending arrival of their second child as well as their March nuptials.
We last spotted Fisher, 34, and Olive out and about in Los Angeles at the end of May, but the actress and husband Baron Cohen, 38, have managed to stay undercover since!

It’s my feeling that since they’re famous, they each make a ton of money in movies and are public figures, the least they can do is confirm the birth and sex of the baby. They don’t have to tell us his or her name if they want to keep it private. I like how Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber handle the press. They’re low key and try not to draw attention to themselves but they acknowledge their kids and will talk about them occasionally. Maybe the paparazzo is screaming rude stuff to the Cohens, though, which would explain their bad moods along with their unwillingness to open themselves and their family up to scrutiny. I’m not in that position so it’s hard to tell.
Despite the fact that Sacha can probably no longer work his character-driven shtick on the public due to how famous and recognizable he is, he’s still earning a ton of money. We heard this spring that his agency struck a huge deal for him with Paramount for an upcoming comedy in which he’ll play two roles “a goat herder and a deposed foreign dictator who gets lost in the United States.” According to Deadline Hollywood, Cohen stands to make $30 – $80 million on the deal, which offers him a significant piece of the film’s gross. He didn’t sell out his family to get there though, that’s for sure.

public figure or not, if they don’t want to say anything about their kids and have always been this private then thy should be left alone. they don’t owe anyone anything.
Agree, Dexter, they don’t owe the public or media anything. Considering the way tabloids report on celeb kids these days, I don’t blame them for wanting no parts of it.
I agree Dexter: they don’t owe us ANYTHING!!! why should they confirm something? There is nothing to confirm. It’s not like we’re family or friends!!
Plus it’s stupid to confirm a pregnancy or a childbirth: it’s pretty obvious that she was pregnant and that she gave birth!
Why make a statement “yes we are expecting” “yes we have welcome her second child”?
I guess their message is: don’t expect from us anything regarding our family even the most insignificant detail.
I admire them for that.
On a more personnal opinion, this website “celebrity baby scoop” is awful. I don’t think the celebrities’ children should be seen as celebrities themselves (like suri, violet or shiloh). It’s weird that we know the names of thoses kids and that a website is all about those kids!!
Paparazzi should be forbidden to take pictures of children.
This low-life rswipe trades on invading people’s privacy and ridiculing them. I for one find sweet justice in his being accosted by the paps.
I agree with AJ
That girl is her mini-me TOO CUTTTEEE
Their jobs are public but that doesn’t make them public figures and they don’t owe us anything because we watch their movies. It’s their job.
I agree with AJ, he got famous from ridiculing others and invading their privacy. If he wanted to be so private and withdrawn, he shoulda never gotten into show business.
Public persona and private persona are two very different things. I understand what some are saying about how Sacha’s characters invade others’ privacy, but I assume they’ve signed releases… similar to how the unfortunate souls who show up in various episodes of Jersey Shore also signed releases, God only knows why.
I think that just because someone stars in movies does not mean that his/her personal life is for public consumption. Good for them for not issuing a public statement about their family life – none of it is anyone’s business. I truly wish other stars would take a page from their book – Demi and Ashton Tweet practically every time they go to the bathroom.
Edited to add: I have the hugest crush on Sacha – I think he’s so handsome… swoon.
When I left the house yesterday, there were no paps…no one cares what I wear, who I’m dating or if I’m pregnant.
I also make significantly less than these people do, no one sends me free clothes or bags and I have to wait in line for a table.
If you want privacy, get a job like everyone else but accept that your life will be nowhere near as fabulous.
It always seems douchy when celebrities act like this. It IS possible to live your life in harmony with celebrity. I can name countless couples who do.
And don’t even get me started on Sacha’s hipocracy. His movies made MILLIONS holding people’s private moments up to international ridicule.
Respect to them – they are public figures, their children are not and children should never be used to gain publicity.
To me, they are like the people that live down the street. What they do is not my business, and I don’t care if they tell me about their kid or not.
As for Cohen, I cannot stand him. The only thing I ever found him funny in was Talladega Nights.
deleted, double post
i’m with Dexter, et al.
i actually appreciate them not selling out their family for fame, besides, we are bound to find out details of the baby eventually, i say let them enjoy this private family time
they don’t look pissed they look tired! New behbehs will do that to you
Number 10: Like someone else said, Sacha and Isla are the celebrities – their children are not.
How does it make it a ‘douchy’ move to not reveal their personal life as it pertains to their children?
Why should they need to?
bravo to them for trying to be an normal family and for protecting their children. I am sick to death of celebrities that exploit their children (Suri, anyone) to bring attention to themselves.
Hell no, they don’t owe the public at large any info concerning their family! Not only is it none of our business (no matter how much I love celeb gossip), but as someone stated above, they are celebs, not their children!
There is no law that says in order tobe famous you must reveal every single detail of your private life.
I repsect them for it.
They don’t owe anyone a statement on their private lives.
They don’t “owe” anybody anything. If they don’t want the public to know about their private family life, they’ve got the right to keep dat shit PRIVATE.
lmao@”It’s my feeling that since they’re famous, they each make a ton of money in movies and are public figures, the least they can do is confirm the birth and sex of the baby”
Seriously get a grip.
awwww…little Olive is adorable. It is their decision as to how they handle their family & private life. As it should be.
“It’s my feeling that since they’re famous, they each make a ton of money in movies and are public figures, the least they can do is confirm the birth and sex of the baby.”
Why??? How ridiculous, they have every right to keep quiet, I respect the fact that they try to keep their family life private
Also so what is Sacha has made money from ridiculing people in his films – we all watch them and therefore contribute to his money so we are just as bad as him.
Doesn’t mean we have the right to access their private family life
I assume Cohen is probably extra protective about his family in public since he has publicly embarrassed people in his movies. I’m sure lots of people want to prank him.
I think it is nice that aren’t commenting on their kid. I don’t mind adults getting their pics taken in the paparazzi but I think it is really wrong when they bug a celebrity’s kid.
It’s actually refreshing to see celebrities guarding their children. After all, the children didn’t sign up for the life – the parents did. So the parents can turn up for publicity when required, and leave the kids out of it. What a concept! These kids may actually have a chance at a relatively normal life. Unlike a few others I don’t even have to name, because, well, their parents pimp them out for public consumption and we all know who they are.
Re his upcoming “huge deal” with Paramount: I was very surprised to read he got such a deal with how bad his movies were. I just checked Rotten Tomatoes though and wow, Borat made a ton of money! I didn’t realize. I thought it sucked a$$. I didn’t see Bruno because it sounded worse. It made half as much money as Borat, so I guess I wasn’t the only one who skipped it.
That little girl is adorable! Then so is her mom – I’ve always thought Isla was cute. Thank goodness she takes after her mother looks-wise. It would be nice to see their new addition, but I understand their wanting privacy for their children, that’s pretty easy to understand. I agree with others that they are practicing good parenting by not pimping out their kids like some other celebrities. If I was a child of a famous person, I don’t think I’d like being paraded around in front of the whole world. (Unless I was Suri, of course).
AWwwww. CUte kid. And Isla’s so adorable.
they just don’t want their kids to grow up like another suri cruise.
they’re famous but their kids no! so leave them alone
I’m in two camps about this. They are people just like you and I and don’t have to talk about their lives. However, on the flip side they chose to be entertainers and with that career choice comes the downside of losing a certain amount of privacy. I totally appreciate that they don’t want to sell their kids out but they told us the date and name of their first child, why hide the second? There are people who like them and want to congratulate them, why deny them that? They wouldn’t be where they are now without their fans.
It’s not like it was in the past. Today, when you become a well known actor/entertainer you know what comes with it. The money comes at a price. You chose it, you can take that back. And if you do, you give back everything that comes with it. You can’t have it both ways.
“Paparazzi should be forbidden to take pictures of children.”
i agree – the kids are not the ones who are famous. the adults are fair play (to a point) but photographing the kids is weird. i may be wrong but isn’t it illegal in france to photograph the children of celebs?
OMG the 1st movie BORAT was beyond hysterical, on my fave list, and I still laugh like a retard everytime I watch it, and I think the pap should leave them alone, yeah they’re public figs, but doesnt mean everytime they shit out a kid or take a shit the world needs to know.
Olive is such a cutie, I too am glad she took after her Mummy.
I agree that celebs shouldn’t have to confirm anything. I mean it was pretty obvious she was pregnant. Plus sooner or later, we are gonna see that kid anyway. And considering how much they are in the public eye, it must actually be nice to have some things kept private. Also it’s not like their bitchy about their fame either. They just seem down to earth.
Congrats Isla and Sacha.
Olive is adorable! As cute as Nicole Ritchie’s daughter, Harlow. These 2 are my favourite celebrity kids. 🙂
I agree with most posters here: celebrities don’t owe it to us to confirm or deny anything in their private lives. Questions about their work? Yes, to an extent.
im trying hard to make it as a dancer but im in school at the moment studying math as a just in case. I also love Nicki Minaj!
