According to most reporting, Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger met for the first time about three years ago when they began work on a horror-suspense film called Case 39. While the film languished in post-production and then release-date drama (it’s taken more than two years to get this film out, seriously), Renee and Bradley began a friendship, and then began dating. Allegedly, they’ve been going out for something like a year and a half, maybe. Maybe 16-17 months? Whatever. In that time, Bradley and Renee rarely speak about each other publicly, although both have acknowledged that they are a couple. Additionally, there are very, very few photos of them together, and when there is the rare tabloid story about them, it falls into one of two camps: either Renee is clingy and Bradley is irritated, or they are sickeningly in love and plan to marry. Eh. Sometimes I forget they’re dating.
So, Case 39 is finally getting released (this week!), so Bradley thought he’d take the time to finally say something nice about his girlfriend/costar. He told Entertainment Tonight: “I never met her before this movie, but I just love her.”

‘Case 39’ finds Renee as Emily, a family services social worker in Oregon whose worst fears are confirmed when she discovers that the parents of 10-year-old Lillith (Jodelle Ferland) try to kill their only daughter. Emily takes Lillith in and enlists the help of psychologist pal Doug (Bradley) as she searches for an ideal adoptive family for the bruised little girl. But soon, dark, supernatural forces surrounding Lillith become apparent, and attempts to protect her invite an even greater horror…
“It’s so fun to be scared,” says Renee. “It’s so fun to go and see a film that manages to make you uncomfortable, and yet you don’t want to walk away from it; you still want to watch it and have that experience.”

I really liked her in Nurse Betty, EMpire Records, Cold Mountain, and of course Bridget Jones. It’s too bad that her career has waned. She seems to be trying too hard when she poses, and she needs a good girlfriend to tell it to her straight about the cosmetic alterations.

I miss the old Renee! She had such a cute figure, and was perfect in the first Bridget Jones movie (the second was a travesty, but so was the book!). After losing all that weight for Chicago it all went downhill. She had so much potential, it is just so sad.
Hautie, a blind item that is supposed to be about him basically states that he became abusive to Jennifer Esposito right after they married, even though there were no signs of abuse before that.

Whether he’s gay or not, he gives off the gay vibe and I’ve never seen a picture of him that looks like he’s even remotely attracted to Renee….which is not surprising given her current look. Does she own anything but that mannish work out wear?
Who knows- maybe the “fraud” she accused Kenny Chesney of, was that he expected her to sleep with him and she was like, “Dude! I’m gay, aren’t you?”

@ Kitten there is enough circumstancial evidence to state that John Travolta is gay,I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes out in the next few years. As for Tom Cruise he is probably gay but there is more than likely never going to be proof. Part of Scientology is believing that homosexuality can be deprogrammed so any actor associated with them will always be rumoured to be gay(Hence the Will Smith rumours).
As for the others I think you can blame bloggers like Ted C who write thinly vieled items outing actors. Many people are ignorant enough to believe every blind item they read.
If I’m not mistaken that ET interview was taped a while ago I saw it a couple of years ago . I think it was taped when they were filming the movie.That’s why they are talking meeting for the first time this was done in 2007 or 2008. At that time he was saying I love her in the way that actors say I love my co star not” I’m in love” with her they weren’t dating back then

Renee is a great actress, I will give her that but I am disappointed in how much work she has had done… You can tell a huge difference since Jerry Maguire.

I worked with Renee years ago and have bumped into her from time to time and she is honestly a darling woman. She is really wonderful and I hope she’s happy.

I don’t like Renee as an actress. She is annoying, cannot act, and her expressions come across as very fake. In Jerry Maguire, she kept pouting and it was so annoying. I cannot stand her on screen.
I really like Rene – she seems like a genuine sweetheart and I think she is very talented. I do think she suffers from a bit of a dysmorphic disorder, but that is almost par for the course when you are a woman in Hollywood. I love it that she is such an awesome athlete – I’ve seen photos of her out running and man can she move!! I am looking forward to seeing Case 39.

Another non-hater of Renee here. She doesn’t annoy me like many other celebs do. She seems *genuinely* sweet, and although she does seem to try hard on carpets and such, I don’t hate her for it. I think she is just a bit awkward.
If anything when it comes to these two, I actually think that Renee is too good for old Ratty-Face Cooper. I don’t find him attractive at all. Never have. Don’t get the appeal at all.
I love Renee too but I wish she’d stop with pursing her lips. It is not attractive.

Kitten, it’s not just here. It’s in general across gossip blogs all over the internet that I’ve noticed that trend (the OhNoTheyDidn’t community on LJ especially). I’ll admit, there are some instances where I can see why people would think an actor is gay and I can understand where the gay rumors come from in those cases. But most of them, I think are complete BS. Almost every young, good looking, successful male actor gets the gay rumor at least once – maybe more – in his career. It’s laughable at this point, really. I’m sure there really ARE a lot of closeted actors in Hollywood, whose girlfriends really ARE beards. I don’t doubt that for a second, but the fact that pretty much almost every male actor in Hollywood has had the gay rumor attached to him, along with the claim that his girlfriend is a beard – is getting quite ridiculous IMO. So, I completely agree with you.

Although I find the rumors which are actually worse and less likely for me to believe are the ones that the gossip rags don’t focus on where it’s just random commenters on some gossip blog claiming they know it for a fact by saying ‘Well, I know someone who knows this dude who dated him and said he’s gay’ or ‘A friend of a friend of a friend knows him and says he’s gay.’ Those just crack me the hell up. LMFAO I mean, seriously? That’s supposed to convince people you have a reliable source? Give me a break.
Every Magazine,newspaper,tabloid paper,blog have pretty much every man in Hollywood gay.If it were true their would be no straight men in Hollywood left.Also you would think that men who are accused of being gay would not be afraid to come out if it were true.eg. Brad Pit, George Clooney,Matt Damon.They probably would be in the forefront fighting for gay rights/issues.

Although with actors like Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon, I think they probably wouldn’t be as eager to come out (if they were gay hypothetically speaking), because they have such huge female fanbases. That’s pretty much the explanation/excuse people use for actors like them and other good looking actors with huge female fanbases who are accused of being gay for why they decide to apparently stay ‘closeted.’ Because, of a fear that they would lose those female fans which is probably true to an extent. But, I also think there would be a lot of female fans who wouldn’t actually care one way or the other (again, I’m speaking hypothetically here assuming those rumors were actually true, which like I said above – I doubt most gay rumors, although there are certain cases where I DO believe an actor accused of being gay is actually gay).

Renee Z. is a mystery. I think she’s probably quite nice and sweet. There’s something wrong with her health, it seems, either mental or physical. Bradley Cooper seems like a user to me. Sorry to say that. First marriage doesn’t add up and there’s no satisfactory rumor to allow him off the hook. Bradley Cooper seems like a guy who can’t be trusted. I would never say that about Renee Z.
