The big news on Wednesday was that Dina Lohan was trying to crack hustle Lindsay Lohan out of rehab for a few days, so that mother and daughter could spend Thanksgiving in a coked-out, boozy haze in Long Island. But at the end of the day, the Betty Ford Clinic wouldn’t let Lindsay spend the holiday in New York, but they did okay an outing for Lindsay in-state. Yes, Lindsay got to leave the clinic for 13 hours or so to spend the holiday with her father, Michael Lohan. Ugh.
Lindsay Lohan is a free woman … for around 15 hours – LiLo got a one-day pass at Betty Ford to celebrate Thanksgiving … in L.A. … with her dad.
Sources close to the actress tell TMZ, she’s leaving her sober living facility in Palm Springs this morning to make the 2-hour drive … but she has to be back by late tonight.
We’re told a bunch of Lindsay’s friends are coming to dinner … along with Michael Lohan.
We’re guessing Dina Lohan will cook her turkey with the steam blasting from her ears.

I truly have mixed feelings about this crackhead spending so much time with her father. Yes, I do think Dina is just as bad/dangerous as Michael, but we’re setting the bar so low now, you know? I can’t even imagine what a Michael-and-Lindsay Thanksgiving looks like. You know Lindsay tried to snort the gravy mix.
By the way, Lindsay just tweeted her first tweet in months. It was about… Vanilla Sky? Ugh.

I think her black eye is just horribly overdone bronzer. I wonder if Lindsay refused to see Dina. I think the one brother is an adult, Ali is ‘home schooled’ & the youngest is probably a latch-key kid that survives off Pop Tarts & Easy Macs so White Oprah shoul’ve been free to stink up CA with her lies.
She doesn’t have a black eye, but her makeup is entirely too harsh. It looks like she’s overcompensating for the pallid/washed out face a lot of people get when they dry out.
I don’t think the tweet was about vanilla sky,I think it was more about the quote and turning things around.
I understand that this site is called celebitchy and all but maybe you should give Lindsay a break.
I wish her the best and I hope for her sake she beats the odds. And by odds i mean those two people feeding off her fame and notoriety. Addiction is a disease and even with a loving supporting family, it is still very hard to beat, so truly the odds are stacked against her.
I sure wanted to see Dina when she found out about this.

I think a lot of Lindsay’s problems stem from her relationship with Michael. He is a major douche, but she loves him. She has to resolve their issues, so she can move on. It’s not easy to cut a parent out of your life. I haven’t been able to do it, regardless of my mother’s wishes. I love my dad, in spite of his numerous faults. So, I can empathize with Lindsay’s need to be with her dad. And…he has called her out on her past drug use & the need for rehab. Right now, he’s looking like the responsible, caring parent. Unlike Dina.

i’m glad she’s spending time with her dad. it’s important to her recovery to deal with past emotional issues, and alot stem from her dad. it’s a good step.

I don’t think her dad is as bad as her mother when it comes to substance abuse. If reports from rehab are correct (and whoever is spilling ought to get fired for breaking her anonymity but seeing as it’s out there I’ll comment on it), her counselors are telling her to fire her mother as manager and get back to being parents and daughter rather than parents/cash cow. At least Michael is clean and sober which is more than you can say for Dina. Who now isn’t such a fan of Lindsay being in rehab.
I wonder how much she drank and drugged it up last night while given her “pass?”
Michael is “supposed” to be clean and sober but he has physically abused many women, including the one he is supposedly back with now. I suppose you can abuse and still be sober but what a mentality.
Dina is no better so Lindsay doesn’t have any role models in her immediate family. They are all users and suck up to stay on her good side for their cut if Lindsay should get any paying jobs.
Dina and Michael seem vehemently opposed to supporting themselves.

if Dina is still drinking/using and Michael is not, then LL is better off with him right now. remember that the last time she tested positive was after a weekend visit to Long Island. just saying.
So her options are the mother who parties with her and gives inappropriately timed interviews or the father who she wouldn’t let party with her but who bashes her on twitter and hands over recorded telephone conversations of her sounding pathetic. I think she needs to get a clue and realize there is a 3rd option, its herself and her sobriety.
I’m no expert on the Lohan family.
But, from what I’ve seen, I think the father’s got more on the ball than the mother.
Pretty pathetic, I know. But, I actually think the mother is like a festering malignancy for Lindsay.
