Take this for what it is – a random report out of one of Britain’s tabloids, The Sun. The Sun claims that Brad Pitt’s parents, Jane and Bill, are planning on moving in with the Jolie-Pitts to help them raise their six kids. According to sources, Brad has arranged for his parents to move into a little cottage-like place on Brad and Angelina’s extensive French property. The idea behind the whole thing is that Brad is insisting that he and Angelina take some time off and just be in France for a while, for the kids. And Bill and Jane want to help, I guess, although I’m pretty sure that Bill and Jane have a pretty active life in Missouri already, so…?
THERE won’t be much chance for BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE to make any more nippers – his parents are moving in. The superstar couple are going to live in the South of France full-time – and Brad’s mum and dad, Jane and Bill Pitt, will be living there too.
Work has begun on a granny flat for them at the star couple’s £35million Chateau Miraval estate in Brignoles. The Pitt seniors will then move there from Springfield, Missouri, to help look after Brad and Ange’s six kids. Brad flew to the Chateau last week to oversee building work.
A source said: “The whole family is going to move there as soon as the renovations are done. At the moment they have six nannies – one for each of the kids – and the plan is to get rid of the helpers and rely on Bill and Jane. The annexe they will live in is an old building which used to be used as a dovecote. It’s big enough to have a sitting room, kitchen and a couple of bedrooms. It will make a lovely little cottage for them.”
As well as their daughter, SHILOH, four, and two-year-old twins KNOX and VIVIENNE, Brad and Ange have adopted sons MADDOX, nine, PAX, seven, and daughter ZAHARA, six.
The pair have always taken their brood with them as they jetted around the globe for work but all that is about to change now the kids are older. The source added: “They don’t want them dragged around the world any longer. Brad is traditional and wants them to put down roots and have friends and go to the same school, rather than constantly moving. The plan is both of them will do voiceover work in a recording studio in the chateau’s grounds. Other than that, they’ll pretty much retire from Hollywood for a while.”
Their pals JOHNNY DEPP, VANESSA PARADIS and their children LILY-ROSE and JACK live only 40 minutes away from the French bolt-hole. Johnny, who starred alongside Angelina in The Tourist, sold the idea of a simple French life to them while they filmed in Venice last year.
A source added: “Johnny said if they want a normal life they must leave LA. They all agree the time has come for them to focus on bringing up their family. They have plenty of money and they want to relax and enjoy it.”
They’ll be lucky with relationship kryptonite – the in-laws – there…

Well, it wouldn’t surprise me if Brad was overseeing renovations to that part of the chateau, because God knows the man loves his renovations. Maybe he even has his parents in mind for the little cottage-like thing. Or maybe that’s where Empress Zahara will plot her global domination. Every Empress needs her lair, and I would be more willing to buy that Brad was making renovations with Zahara in mind (he is her loyal minion). Unfortunately for this story, I don’t think Angelina and Brad are really taking nine months off any time soon – they both have a ton of films in various stages of preproduction.

The “little cottage-like place” is a pigeon coup that is being restored and that is 18m2 according to the building permit that was posted for it on the Daily Mail. So, Brad is going to put his parents up in a room that is just big enough to take a king sized bed and leave all of +/- a yard on either side, no space for an ensuite bathroom? I really doubt it… plus the place is rented not owned.

They will be heading to NOLA for Brad to do his next film..then he is doing WWZ next.. Angie does not have anything out there yet. According to a report, she has finished editing her basic print of her film. Brad’s Parents seem to be busy and they travel to visit the son and his family everywhere they have been. They flew to France for a few weeks when the twins were born.. but I doubt they are giving up their lives to move to France.. They do have other children and I think 8 other Grandchildren..
And do people NEVER read Brad interviews. He likes to travel has spoken countless times about wanting the children to be global. but of course that doesn’t get reported because the media wants to continue the lie that Angie is forcing Brad and the Kids to travel.

So, all of a sudden, the Granpitts are just going to up and leave the rest of their family and friends, to move with Brad and Angelina? Do not buy it. They are probably going to spend time with their grand kids, just like any grandparent, but they do have other children and grandchildren, so the likelihood of this being true is slim to none.
if true … why pass up an awesome opportunity. they’re living on the property of their son with all the access (or not) to their grandkids, living in the french countryside. and im sure to come and go as they please, with whatever grandkid is up for the adventure that day. damn, what a life.
I absolutely HATE it when the tabloids list the biological children first, and then the adopted ones second. Just list the children in age order. They are ALL Jolie-Pitts, regardless of if they are born or adopted. Man, that irks me.

I think they are actually really close to Brad’s parents(despite all shitty reports in the dumb ass tabs) and have a house in Springfield MO whenever they visit. I am also sure that there is plenty of room for them to visit whenever they want in their 30 room French estate. But yeah maybe Brad is making the space more comfy for them.
Oh and yeah they’ll be in NOLA for the shooting of Cogan’s Run in a couple of weeks. This is a desperate way of making a nonstory interesting.

I really doubt that Brad and Anjie Jo would live permanently in any one spot. They refuse to give those kids the stability that children require because of some ridiculous fantasy about having them be “global.” So, exactly which of their 8 palatial estates would the grandparents move in to? Or would they traipse after them around the world like the rest of their staff? Everything about this story is nonsense. Although I love British English. Granny Flat sounds so much cuter than “Mother-in-law cottage.”
Obviously Brad’s idea, if there is any truth to it. At least it looks like things are going well for Angie and the ‘rents now.
The parents might be coming for a visit but I doubt it’s permanent. It’s a lovely idea but Brad’s parents are elderly. They’re not going to be taking on six rambunctious children at their age. More people should get grandparents involved. People are so isolated from family these days.

I believe his parents will be staying for long visit but not permanently.Anyway it will be really good for the kids to have their grandparents there. 6 nannies for 6 kids is way to much. 3 kids per person does make more sense. I doubt they will rely on making voice overs only, they have too many expenses to live on that alone.

They do not have 6 nannies. Again they do not have 6 nannies. And Again they do not have 6 nannies. Angelina has said they have 3 ladies, 2 are part time mostly teachers that help them with the kids. They only have a full time nanny when they are working on a film. They also employ a Lycee trained teacher for the older kids when they are in a place that lacks a Lycee. Some of you read too many tabloids and believe the total lies therein like this Sun false article.
Bill and Jane Pitt have a full happy life in MO, they always visit Brad and his family, or Brad and his family visit MO quite often. The Pitts are a close family with 14 grandkids total.
Brad and Angelina will be in NOLA for his film Cogan’s Trade now through May I think I read in the NOLA paper, and then will be in the UK and various places for him to film WWZ this summer/fall. Angelina has no new projects at this time, she is finishing editing her film she made last fall in Budapest.
You know the truth is out there if one takes the time to read reputable sources, LOL. Really.
I agree that they wouldn’t want to “leave” their other grandkids- maybe an extended visit like they did after the twins were born or in Venice. It’s nice they manage to see each other several times a year. They don’t have six nannies, but they have a ton of security …I don’t like it either when the media “segregates” the adopted kids.
We don’t know how many nannies they have, because they are always very careful not to be photographed with them as to appear “hands on” unlike for instance Heidi Klum, who always has an entourage of nannies with her and doesn’t try to hide how much help she has, and is happy to acknowledge she has help. I don’t believe for a second that they don’t have extensive staff to help them with the kids, day and night.

Vanessa Really? because I have seen the nannies dozens of times when Brad and Angie are not with the kids. I just saw a nanny with AJ and the twins when she was going to the studio to edit her film. There were several pics of 2 nannies with the twins in Venice on the balcony , At the beach , at the mall in Budapest, in their backyard, etc. The difference is Heidi and Seal bring the nannies with them to the park, school drop off ,dance class , etc. Brad and Angie don’t use the nannies when they are out and about instead they rarely take all the kids at once. So they are criticized for rarely taking all the kids out at one time. Usually they take the older kids or the twins.People on baby sites also criticize Heidi because sometimes she has 2 nannies with her even when she is only out with 2 kids. They criticize Gwen Stefani and Gavin also for bringing a nanny when they are only out with one kid.Different strokes for Different folks.
Well they are not hiding the nannies so well as one of the comments have stated.. I have seen 3 different women in addition to the BGs.. most of which have been with Angie for YEARS.. fans know which BGs I am talking about.
They have help and have never denied it. Why people think they are not involved with their children because they have help is beyond me. I have friends that are Teachers and business owners.. they have nannies and are still parents. I don’t see them “Hiding anyone”. the people that work for them are not indentured servants. They may have families, children and lives too. They have vacations and I am sure nights off. As Brad and Angie have both said they don’t have anyone spend the night.. help comes in the morning. Seriously just because you have money and help does not make you a bad parent. anymore then the parents that have their children in daycare and before/after school programs. Some who are dropped off at 6:00 in the morning and picked up at 6:00 at night. are they not hands on parents.
and regarding a stable life. Just because they travel does not mean their children are not having a stable life. THEY have both of their parents all the time. NOT one off for months at a time. I think when their children look back it will be more important that they were with mommy and daddy then the friend down the street.
I wonder where the concern is for the other celebrity kids that are away from one parent months on end.. but I guess the JP kids welfare is more of a concern.
Raise your own kids. Brad/Angie get to raise theirs the way they see fit.. like everyone else in the world. That is how it works.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with having help. It’s obvious that two working parents with young kids have help, and need it. She just peeves me sometimes because I always get the feeling that she is trying to come across as being able to do it all and a super mom, and she doesn’t often acknowledge how much help she has. For instance, she did a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest a while back and he asked her how they managed to handle 6 kids, and she answered something like Brad and I don’t work at the same time so one parent is always at home. She didn’t mention the nannies, housekeepers, cooks, etc, who make it all possible. I doubt Brad Pitt alone takes care of the 6 kids by himself when she works, especially since we see tons of pics of him visiting her on set. Another time in some interview, she stated that kids are never work. I have 3 young kids,no help, and there are days when I struggle to keep my sanity, so yes, they are work, definitely. They are a joy, and I couldn’t live without my kids but they most definitely ARE work, when you don’t have all kinds of help. I don’t follow her, other than whatever is posted on gossip sites, so I may not be aware of everything she has ever said, and if she has mentioned her nannies, I missed it and I apologize.

Vanessa she mentions multiple nannies (not 6 though) and multiple teachers in Vogue and VF interviews.Seacrest interview was about 5 minutes, she spent hours with the Vogue interview and VF interview was conducted on 3 different days. She also mentioned she and Brad don’t cook with the exception of breakfast and Brad grilling on the weekend. So they obviously have a chef. Brad has 2 assistants, she has at least one.They also have several BG’s that help with the kids.Angie has mentioned in countless interviews how lucky she is with all the help she has and how she only works a few months out of the year and bring kids to the set. She has said she admires working moms who work sometimes two jobs and still have to shop , do housework , etc.As for the “adoption” comment the media always treats their older kids as after thoughts.

I do read her interviews and she has spoken many times about how she doesn’t have anything to complain about unlike parents that are working 2 and 3 jobs. I appreciate that you at least are honest that you have gotten your impression from tabloids.. If you ever get a chance read some of her interviews. And you will see she has always spoken highly of parents that are not in her situation. And I think you may have a different impression.
But again. I appreciate your honest comment. I also note that she has never said anything negative about anyone ever in an interview.. nor will you hear she or Brad going on and on about how others should raise their children or choices they make. BUT you will see how other celebrities have a tendency to mention them all the time.

You know the adoption comments seem to be made to separate the kids and that always bothers me. Same kind of comments made about Tom Cruise’s older 2 kids at times and Meg Ryan’s daughter and other adopted celebtity kids. There is no need for this at all.
One thing Angelina has always been honest about is how appreciative she is that they have help. The BGs seen with them are long time staff and the kids seem to regard them as family. The nannies/teachers are also long time and the most ever seen were in Budapest when Angelina was directing her film and Brad was often on set with her. Pics of Angelina with the twins going to the studio in LA to edit her film showed 1(one) nanny who is often seen with them.
I doubt they make any attempts to hide staff. They seem to like to take the kids out with just BGs for security. And when staff is with them the paps seldom take their pics.
Yea like I doubt this story. They never needed his parents full time before, why now? What on earth are nippers? Do they mean babies? Hah.
Thanks to those few people who cleared up the nanny question. I mean Angie said herself in interviews that they have help, never denied that, but certainly not the help people think they have. So yes they have help but not six freaking nannies. I can tell they are very hands on parents by the way the kids respond to them. The kids love being around them.
Even if this had come from a more reputable source than a Brit tabloid, I wouldn’t give any credence to this. Everyone who has been blessed with grandchildren knows what is the best perk of being a grandparent: Spoil ’em rotten and send ’em home!
I would never defend the Jolie-Pitts, but who CARES if they have 6 nannies, 3 nannies or 30 nannies? Rich people hire people to take care of their kids. Later, they will be hiring private tutors to help them with high school and even later, private therapists and probably drug/alcohol counselors. If I were rich, I’d have someone watch my kid a couple of times a week while my husband and I went on dates and for a few hours on the weekends to get some SLEEP!
As is, I pay day care workers several hundred dollars a week to watch my child while I work. Does that mean I’m not a “hands-on mother”? I don’t think it does.

He’s climbed the Hollywood ladder well and now he will forever be known as being with and having children with Jolie and aka also known as the power couple ‘The Jolie-Pitts’ this means they make more money, ALOT more money wherever they go with whatever they do just because of the mere fact that they’re together and their ‘star power’ is quadrupled so im not surprised they have a ton more movies in production why not make all the money while you can? Angelina’s housekeeper, who was with them in Hungary, has been with her since she split from BBT. The Vietnamese and Belgian women have been with the Jolie-Pitts since 2007. That’s remarkable in Hollywood terms. AJ & BP probably think of them more as family like AJ’s assistant. Zahara’s nanny was older and Australian and probably wanted to retire and travel less. Maddox had a tutor when he was 3 years old and if you look closely their security staff are all very hands on with the children. Childminders don’t have to be women.
@anonymous. It’s a matter of opinion of course but I have to say I think Brad is a pretty good actor. I think his performances are underated because of his pretty boy looks. But his best films are the non-commercial ones where he plays against them. And to say he is ‘playing himself’ in Burn After Reading. Um I’m not calling him a genius or anything but I think that’s stretching it just a bit. Someone that dumb wouldn’t be able to tie his own shoes. The fact that he was able to lampoon himself with that hair and that doofy-ness while stealing scenes from his ‘betters’ Malkovich and MacDormand says alot about his comedic skills and timing.

I think people are fascinated with his (and other’s) star power and mistake talent for success.
But I can’t blame him, HW is full of untalented actors who get more work and success than the talented ones. See his current partner, for instance. Most of them are just products, the better you sell them, the more the people believe they are good.

Why don’t people read/watch Brad and Angelina’s interviews before attacking them? They have repeatedly talked about their nannies and tutors. Also they only have 3 nannies. But I guess it’s better than the 2/child tabloids reported for years. Also they don’t have a ton of movies linedup. It’s weird that people keep saying Brad and Angelina are constantly working when combined they usually don’t do more than 1 or 2 movies a year. Since giving birth 2-1/2 years ago Angelina has done 3 movies: 2009 Salt, 2010 The Tourist and directed a film. At the same time Brad did 2008-09 Inglorious Bastards, Moneyball 2010, and Cogan’s Trade in a couple of weeks. Combined they do less movies than most actors.
Do they even own the French home? Wouldn’t there be a paper trail of the transaction? Claiming the grandparents are moving in doesn’t make sense. Who fires 6 nannies to have 2 elderly grandparents be the caretakers. The grandparents are going to do what they have been doing, visit locations and wait for Brad and Angelina to visit them in MO.

Love Angelina – I thought you were gone forever. It hasn’t been the same on Celebitchy without you commenting on the Brangelina stories. Glad you’re back.
People love to make up nonsense to suit their biases. Why would you need all those nannies on staff unless there were back-up minders on call for emergencies or specific requirements like travel when your regular childminder is unable.
The older children are 9, 7, 6 and 4. Do people think children of these ages need someone hovering over their shoulders 24/7? Ridiculous. They are in school or they are off in their rooms or elsewhere at home playing or reading or whatever kids are doing. They are lucky because they have a safer outdoor area than most kids to play in because of the security they have.
And why would you need nannies at night? I grew up in a family with 7 kids and not a lot happened while we were sleeping – certainly nothing that 2 parents can’t handle. I wouldn’t assume that bodyguards, housekeepers, cooks or those other than nannies/babysitters/tutors are responsible for the children other than the parents. When I was growing up maybe our housekeeper would keep an eye on some of us if mom went out for something alone or with a few of us. But she did not take my mother’s place.
Finally, it says a great deal about their hands-on parenting that when they go on outings and candids are taken they are the ones caring for the kids. If they brought nannies to these events then I would question their hands-on parenting. And I have never seen either Brad or Angelina alone or together need a nanny when they are out and about. THAT is hands-on parenting. Save for the bodyguards who once in a while help with the kids Brad and Angie handle these kids by themselves.
Since none of us know what goes on in the privacy of their home unless the JPs give us a glimpse into it, those who insist they don’t raise their children are talking out of their hats.
Jenifer Aniston really, really messed up her life, big time. She had a handsome, A list star husband that every damn Hollywood starlette would want in Brad Pitt,he seem decent respectful and comes from a big decent family, all it took is for her to have his child and make his and her world complete,so many other beautiful stars have had babies it didn’t slow their career and they are still going strong. Now look at JA, pitiful, lonely and manless really pitiful, not even a big beautiful empty house can make JA happy!Sad.

She stocked up on movies to keep herself busy cause she knew what was coming. It had nothing to do with kids. They talked themselves about their marriage not lasting, from the beginning. #69 That money problem story was from the NE .If they had money issues, Brad could sell one of his many(estimated to be over 15) motorcycles or their house in Santa Barbara.Brad just spent close to a million on art last year.How is spending millions to renovate a chateau better than letting go a couple of nannies. @camille the article is about brad pitt and his kids..he rose to a much higher level of stardom when he was with JA that’s when people really started talking about him, you wouldn’t be half as interested in talking about him now if it wasn’t for his marriage to JA, who he then left for AJ who he now has 6 kids with.
Here’s a crazy idea…why don’t the freakin’ PARENTS raise their kids?? Good Gosh! Six nannies. Grandparents. Everybody except the parents. Spoiled, lazy, entitled movie stars. And it’s not a grandparents job to “raise” their grandchildren. It’s their job to visit, spoil, love, and go home:) These children are going to be SO f’ed up. No friends. no roots. educations that I’m positive are lacking. raised by nannies and bodyguards. ugh.

To 71 Anonymous: You have to be kidding, Brad Pitt rose to fame when he got with JA, whose only cling to fame is her hair? You are an idiot and a riot, people on this board must be laughng at your stupid comment.
So when she talks about her minimal staff, we’re just supposed to sit back and believe her? I don’t care how many interviews you toss at me. I’ve got one kid and a home business. And I’ll be damned if I get everything done on my own in a day’s work. I know, in fact I’m positive, that these two have ridiculous amounts of staff. They’re either shooting, in the middle of pre or post production, or promoting their films. Of course, when they aren’t doing the rounds at awards season, directing, starring in commercials, or endlessly flying the globe to get their pictures taken while handing out checks. There is no way in HELL they raise those children. They probably see them several times a week to say hi, or take them out for ice cream, during which the kids fulfil their end of the deal and get their photos taken.
WTF how is having multiple nannies, multiple teachers , multiple assistants, multiple bodyguards , chef , housekeepers, etc considered her “minimal staff”. She has tons of help.BTW She worked 11 weeks on The Tourist 7 weeks on Budapest film.2 weeks UN work, 3 weeks promo tour give a take a day.so she worked less than 6 months in 2010.

People have said countless times right here that neither AJ nor BP have ever expressly denied having help. that said, what’s your problem? what’s the matter with anyone having help? or is it because it’s them? you have one kid and you have help. so you think that’s a good analogy in determining that BP and AJ have a ‘ton’ of staff. whatever that jugdey statement means, go tell it to the marines! BP and Aj don’t base their lives on what you think anyway.
@theGreenAnonymous: Pardon me for getting on my high horse… but it pretty much irks me when people criticize legitimate stars like BP or AJ and force-feed me the Plastic ones like Leann Rimes and Kim Kardashian. I’m gonna address one thing that came across to me in your post; You think BP came to be a star because he latches onto the women of the moment…like how he’s been from Juliette Lewis to Gwyneth Paltrow to Jen Aniston and then Angelina… Well, I consider that the other way round. Not necessarily, that the women latch onto HIM for fame per se (I think they all genuinely loved him at some point). But obviously because, so MANY people, and these people are probably 90% FEMALE, only started paying MAJOR attention to these women WHEN Brad came into their lives and not the other way around. Using AJ as an example, she was a star in her own right before she met Brad but do you honestly think people, and I mean the WOMEN, would’ve been that interested in her had she been with another man? JA made the cover of People’s Most Beautiful List (weird choice given her chin but her main tool, her hair was all over her face in it anyway)when she was still with Brad. I always, always considered AJ beautiful since TombR…but hey, again, she only made People’s Most Beautiful cover WHEN she got with Brad. Juliette Lewis… Juliette will only be relevant to some people, only, trust me, if only, she mentions that she once dated Brad Pitt. Awww, and then there’s Fabulous Gwyneth…the Queenbee… guess what? She still name-drops Brad. My point…BRAD was the GOLD standard long before any of these women.
@theGreenAnonymous: As far as his track record goes, I’d say he’s made some pretty interesting choices. At least, he’s not hanging out with bimbos like Sheen or staying single and dating only, hot young things like Clooney. Every one of those women seems to have a solid head on their shoulders…and till date, on the average, they are all independent and still pretty noteworthy people. You think if Brad were a dumb guy, a complete doofus or jack-off, women like that would hook up with him…? with each relationship lasting over three years? If anything, I consider BP an amazing strategist who has carefully crafted his image so that even people in remote African areas like myself know who he is. That man is a star cos he has that ‘je ne sais quoi’ and you should just leave at that.
So what is the point of The Sun’s story? Are we supposed to be offended that Brad wants his parents close to their grandchildren? Is there a quota in the press for ridiculous AJ/BP stories?
To all y’all who don’t know why da guy’s famous: Brad Pitt’s got a nice tush, phenomenal blue eyes and handsome features and at some point, women were slaying at his feet. I’d do him, mm’kay ;).
I also hate it when the media segregates their kids. That deal is in such bad taste!
