How lucky are you? You get to BotoxFace stories in one day! This story is slightly less offensive (to me) than the Cindy Crawford one, though. Cindy’s filler-and-Botox offends me because she used to be so pretty, and if she had let herself age naturally, I honestly think she would look much better. As for Teri Hatcher… well, she’s been doing junk to her face on and off for years, and she lies about it (specifically, she lies about how much she actually does do it).
So these are new photos of Teri over the weekend, hosting a fancy celebrity yard sale, the profits of which went to St. Jude’s. Great cause, neat idea for a fundraiser, so I can’t bash her for that. However, as CB pointed out, Teri’s forehead vein is very close to packing up and quitting this bitch permanently. Do forehead veins ever do that in real life? Like, just freeze permanently or stop working entirely? I wonder…
Anyway, I just thought you might want to feel better about your presumably natural aging process today. CB doesn’t like me to write too many Botox stories because she thinks we might be coming across as ageist. My take is always this: It’s not ageism, but I am becoming more and more anti-jacking, anti-Botox, anti-filler. There are only a few women who manage to get minor “adjustments” gradually and modestly, but most of these women are just destroying their faces, and it’s sad. Also, I just hate it when celebrities lie about it.

i don’t think being aghast at badly pulled and frozen faces is ageist at all. i’m over 40 and would never do this to my face; when i’m pissed at people i want them to feel the full force of my wrath!

I googled images of Teri Hatcher and she was so pretty, and now she looks not bad for a woman in her 60’s. Except she’s not in her 60’s, she’s 47 (according to wikipedia. Yes, I am wasting time on the internet.) So what I’d like to know is — is this a case of someone who does not have the best aging genes, or is this directly the result of bad cosmetological choices? Cause if it’s bad genes, we’re all being really mean. If it’s bad surgery…YIKES.
don’t know if botox actually makes veins like that, I’ve heard it doesn’t.
Maybe she just had too many nose jobs or something, it’s like her nose is too SHORT and there’s too much space below her lip. Gives her an odd, Grinch look.

umm PEOPLE, that forehead vein is totally genetic. I have one which is becoming more pronounced as i get older, so does my mom and my BOYFRIEND. (its more obvious in photos than in real life and im only still 22)
u CAN CLEARLY SEE the wrinkles and lines in her forhead. (Botox turns forheads into MARBLE in case u didnt know)
So i disagree. Maybe shes done something, but its not botox. Fillers perhaps? who knows.
I didn’t know that she was once reasonably attractive until I saw her in an old episode of Frasier. I think she (and Cindy) would benefit immensely from some added weight. They’re both underweight and trying to offset the loss of facial fat through use of injectables (and whatever else).

Yeah, she was really pretty in Lois & Clarke. They both were. Haven’t thought about that show for years.
She’s had that vein for years, certainly since before DH’s and way before she got into her 40’s.

Preach it. A related issue is the promotion of tanning as beautiful. Even fake tans are aging. Kate and Pippa are beautiful, but frankly, the deep orangish spray makes them look five years older. My mom is Korean-Japanese, and I think she and her female relatives look much younger than the women on my Irish-Italian father’s side of the family because my Asian-American relatives are comfortable in their naturally light skin and protect it, rather than bake it or spray it.

Do the people who get such obvious plastic surgery (and who all tend to look a LOT alike in the end, not a good thing) have some altered lens through which they view the world? Is it like the opposite of an eating disorder, where they look in the mirror and see something way more attractive than reality? Because I just do. not. get it.
How could you see so many people turn into plastic clones of one another and opt to do the same thing?! Do they *honestly* think it looks subtle or attractive or realistic in the slightest?

The lies are maddening. I remember Charlize Theron saying women should love their wrinkles, yada yada. Imagine my surprise when I saw young pictures of Charlize and she looks NOTHING like she does now. It was a story about how her mother shot and killed her father and they had childhood photos of Charlize. They really should cast her in the next Transformer’s movie because that heifer knows how to transform.
Anyway, Terri is crazy if she thinks we can’t see the obvious. Every last one of the Desperate Housewives are carved up now like a jack-o-lantern, including Vanessa Williams who looks crazy as hell now.
I can’t tell if Bree has done anything she looks the same as when she was on Melrose Place.

I agree. It’s not that you’re making negative reference to the fact that these women are beyond a certain age, only to the various cosmetic methods they’re using to an unfortunate result.

Re: Vein – I sort of feel her pain on that issue… I have a vein in pretty much that exact same place on my forehead. But I’m lucky in that you can only really see it when I’m upset/crying xD I can’t imagine having to deal with it all the time, let alone frozen up there.
@Brittney ITA with your theory. She’s a celeb so I wouldn’t doubt she’s had “work”, but at the same time, I’m 35 and there’s a difference in how I look from now and only 2 or 3 years ago. I feel like you start aging exponentially once you hit 31. A lot of people are mentioning how this lady used to look so pretty on these old shows when she was much younger. Well? She’s frikkin almost 50 now. I used to be a lot prettier years ago too, back when you look good in any light. Anyway I googled “Teri Hatcher plastic surgery” to see some before/after pics. I found an article by her of her showing how lighting is the key. She uses pics she has taken in a bathroom. (She also denies having had anything done, though says she has tried stuff before.) I had to agree with her because last year I saw myself in a horrible light (outside) and (yes, it’s vain but) I was SO depressed for a few days because for the first time in my life I looked decidedly NOT young, in fact I felt like I looked more like in my 40s. You could see the age in my skin. So I think so much with celebs is all about lighting. I am 35, I go places with what must be good lighting, and maybe they’re just being nice but people often supposedly mistake me for 25 or younger. I just think “ok clearly you don’t know any real 25 year olds if you think I’m 25,” but still, I must look better in certain lightings. But I can look old too-, jowly, aged skin, slightly sunken eyes and dark circles under my eyes, in other lights, especially if I’m outside. Celebs get the benefit of master lighters all the time, plus learn about how to work light themselves. Anyway I don’t know if Hatcher has had anything done currently, but, her article on plastic surgery is worth looking at if only to remind everyone how lighting means so much. I wish women would just let themselves age.

BAD LIGHTING can make anyone hideous.
Her dermathologist is mad! How come a doctor do that to a person´s face? Or, is the patient mad? My dermathologist explained to me that they sure know when they´re overapplying botox, but also there are some patients that loooove the “Donatella Versace” look, and begfor it… go figure!
