As we found out on Friday, Paul McCartney and his lady love Nancy Shevell are newly engaged. It will be Paul’s third marriage, after his decades-long marriage to Linda and his all too brief marriage to the one-legged hustler. Something tells me that Nancy is a keeper, and that this will be Paul’s final marriage. Nancy seems like a low-key woman, and I sincerely hope they’re happy together. Paul McCartney’s fiancee Nancy Shevell unveiled her sensational $650,000 engagement ring on Friday, May 6, and Life & Style has the exclusive photos!
“Nancy’s ring is huge! You can tell she was excited to finally be showing it off,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. “She was glowing and relaxed and looked like she couldn’t be happier. She even gave a thumbs up when asked how her and Paul were doing. Clearly the couple is very happy,” the eyewitness continued.
A source tells Life & Style of the huge round-cut diamond ring, “Paul spent more than $650,000 on the gorgeous ring, and Nancy absolutely loves it!”

Who doesn’t like a $650,000 ring? What woman looks at a $650,000 and says, “Nah, I’m good”??? Of course Nancy likes it. And good for them.
Sigh… I really hope she’s not a crazy golddigger. If she was Heather Mills-esque, we would have known by now, right? Her crazy would have already come out, I’m thinking.
UPDATE: Ooooh, The Mail says that Paul isn’t asking Nancy to sign a prenup, just that “McCartney’s lawyers have drawn up a simple one-page document, saying that in the event that the new marriage fails Miss Shevell won’t make a claim on the trust funds of any of his children, and that seems to be enough for them both.” They also say that the wedding will be a smaller, non-glitzy affair.

i just get a really really good vibe about this pairing. she has money of her won and loads of it apparently. altho i have always thought that I WOULD BE THE ONLY ONE TO MAKE PAUL HAPPY, i do wish them the best. i have read that his kids really like her and that is a HUGE KEY.

Ok I’m not trying to be controversial here, but I don’t get this fascination with diamond rings. I really couldn’t give a shit if my boyfriend proposed to me with a 650K ring or a 5 dollar ring from a flea market. I never cared for diamonds (I’d never wear it!! I’d lose it immediately…) and I won’t believe there aren’t more girls out there who think the same way.
She has her own fortune from…I don’t know, whatever she’s done. I was kind of paying attention to the news when it was announced. I don’t think she’s a gold digger. And I do think she’s gorgeous.

@merski I agree with you I love looking at jewels on others but I have no idea what the difference is between a 600 dollar diamond and a 6 mill dollar diamond and I’d be nervous wearing something too expensive…if/when I marry I just want a gold band and a faithful & loving man.

And now a comment in three parts…
1) Paul is starting to look like an old queen
2) Nancy is so pretty. She looks amazing for her age.
3) So she seems a pretty decent gal and that she won’t attempt to rob his ass via divorce proceedings like a certain one-legged crazy did but I am concerned that Paul is as optimistic as ever about love. The world isn’t just populated by Lindas, ya know! There’s a lot of Heathers out there!

And jewellery isn’t that important to me either, although if given a choice of $5 flea market ring or $650K sparkler, I think I’d take the sparkler.
Though it is a lovely ring, I find it hard to believe the ring cost over $60,000. Even if it is vintage.
I have seen alot of pricey jewelry. Been to many auctions filled with brilliant vintage things. And a 650,000. ring would have to have a serious legend to get that kind of cash.
Plus McCartney is somewhat notorious for his frugal ways.
But I am sure the price was put out there to p*ss off the last wife. Since he gave her a smallish sapphire ring for her engagement ring.
All You Need Is Love .. and a boat load of money. Pathetic in this day and age to buy a ring that costs that much. He should have donated the money to charity and bought her a more modest ring. Esp since this is both of their second – third wedding. This really turns me off on Paul.
I don’t think Paul had a prenup with Heather Mills either, but it didn’t matter because he had a great lawyer who negotiated a settlement with that gold digger.
I love this man, and Linda too. Despite my normal weariness and overall loathing of the ridiculously rich, I really want this man and this woman to be happy. I don’t want her to take his money, and I really, really hope they are OK forever. He deserves that. He’s a fucking Beatle for chrissake.
Jackpot! Of course this lady has family money from a trucking company and even works so Paul is dealing with a different bird here. Plus she’s 51 so children are off the table. Now he can live/die in peace.
Who cares what he does with his money? It’s HIS – and he IS a living legend to millions of people. To think – someone working in music today who actually sings, plays instruments and writes his own songs. Go figure.

Intentions are ways great before the marriage, the test is in the years in the marriage that would reveal her true feelings about Paul. I hope the best for them but don’t rule out a pre-nup.
