The image I have of Leonardo DiCaprio, in general, is that of a womanizer with a heart of gold. I don’t think he mistreats women. I don’t think he’s a douche to women. I think he’s probably very honest with the women in his life: he likes being a bachelor, he likes having an official girlfriend, and he likes some action on the side. From what I can remember hearing from Gisele, he’s very sweet and generous to his girlfriends, but the dude is simply afraid of commitment, and he makes that clear in every relationship. That’s how his moves are telegraphed to me. Maybe I’m alone in these thoughts. I might be, because if anyone buys this National Enquirer story about “the real reason” Leonardo and Bar Refaeli split up, then I’ll eat my proverbial hat.
Leonardo DiCaprio has handed his gorgeous girlfriend Bar Refaeli her walking papers because he’s ready to start a family – and she’s not.
Fatherhood has become priority number one for the 36-year-old actor, and he wanted Bar to commit to having a baby right away if they were to get married. But the Israeli-born model, 25, isn’t ready to take the leap into parenting.
“Leo told Bar he expected kids if they walk down the aisle,” said a close friend. “While Bar sees herself as being a mom down the road, and wants a family, her career is on fire right now. She known that she’s not going to get many modeling assignments with a pregnant belly.”
“Leo is so angry that he basically told her to take a hike – he feels like he was wasting time with her… over the past year, Leo thought long and hard and decided Bar was ‘the one’ and he wanted children with her. Leo sees how happy his close friend Tobey Maguire is being a dad – Leo wants what his best friend has. But Bar has already told him she’s just not ready. It crushed Leo.”
Despite how angry he is, the friend added: “Leo will run back to Bar in a minute is she tells him she’s ready to be a mom.”

What came to mind while you were reading that? What came into my mind was Leo nailing Blake Lively from behind. Kind of gross? Sure. But I tend to think Leo just dumped Bar because he was looking at greener pastures. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: Bar is the most busted-looking supermodel out there. It’s not unreasonable to me to think that Leo was looking for some kind of upgrade, looks-wise. Yeah, go ahead and yell at me. I think Blake is way prettier than Bar. And I think Bar would go running back to Leo in a heartbeat, not the other way around. I’m not saying dudes don’t get broody and want babies too – many do. Leo is probably not that guy. Or he won’t be that guy for a while. But just in case he is that guy now, I suggest Blake Lively get pregnant right away! God, that would be so much fun…

I see no chemistry between Blake and Leo. I think Channel paid Leo to put on the LeoLively concert at Cannes to hype the brand. Leo is a rich, famous, and good looking guy and he should play it for all he wants. If he wants to have a family and a settled down life, he can have that 20 years from now but in the mean time, he’s got the world by the tail with all the tail he wants, why reck it when you’re not ready.
..and all of Israel would have dumped her ass if she did bear him a child. The press has been brutal to her at home. They want her to settle down with a nice Jewish man. Oh, wait–that’s my mother talking!

I will add that I think Leo is pursuing Blake, but its still casual. I don’t think he’s the least bit aggressive or pushy about trying to make things “official” and so Blake is probably trying to figure out how she can best play her cards.

Not saying he needs to settle down with just anyone or out of fear, just that he better be sure he really wants to be a bacholer forever. It’s easy to be single and free when you’re young, but not always so easy when you’re older even with money.
I don’t think any of Leo’s girlfriends (Gis, Bar, or Blake) are attractive or have nice bodies. Giselle has a strong jaw/manly face, Bar’s face is just boring and oddly older looking than her age, and Blake even with the nose job is still busted (I ususally like strong noses, but not hers). They all have skinny, shapeless, bodies to me and I don’t get any of their appeal.

I don’t understand using a modeling career as an excuse. When models get pregnant it’s not really a big deal. They typically model through the first trimester, take a break when they start showing, get papped walking around with their SO or while working out, give interviews about their workout plans and healthy lifestyles, and then pose nude.
After the baby is born they return to work in a few weeks and everyone “Oooohs” and “Awwwws” over how they snapped back into pre-pregnancy shape.
Having a baby with Leo would probably only enhance her career.
There are many reasons for waiting to have kids but I don’t find a modeling career to be one of them. Maybe being so busy with a career that you don’t feel like you have enough time to devote to motherhood. But I doubt her career would actually take a hit.
I think Leo enjoys his pretty young things and isn’t very interested in having a family yet. But I think if it did happened and he had a little girl in particular he would be putty.
I think Bar is prettier than Blake but they’re both pretty much famous for their bodies. And they both have tits that make me jealous. They’re perfect enough to make me think and hope they’re fake, but natural enough to make me sometimes question if they’re real or not.
