Yesterday, I put up some of the earliest photos we had of Katie Holmes at the Armani show in Paris. Thankfully, we got some better photos so now we get to see how much Mr. Armani secretly disliked the Kate-bot. He put her in this slouchy black outfit – although to be fair to Mr. Armani, Katie might have picked it out for herself. Ill-fitting slouchy pants… are they meant to be Capri pants? Or is the hemline just wonky? And that shiny faux-menswear-style shirt. It’s all pretty bad. I was wondering why this outfit seemed so particularly hideous to me, when really, it’s far from the most terrible thing Katie has ever worn. I think I hate it so much because A) Katie’s style has actually been improving lately, and it hurts me to see her take a dip, and B) because Katie rarely does that all-black thing, nor the all covered-up thing.
I will say this, though – in addition to being (generally) more stylish lately, her hair has also been consistently AMAZING lately. I don’t know what she’s doing with it, but it looks so good. Her makeup is great too lately, What’s up, Kate-bot? She really needs to work on not looking like she’s rebooting though:
Next up: Katie’s casual look for an outing to the Dior children’s boutique, which she went to after the Armani show. The outing deserved a costume change! You know what? If Jennifer Garner was wearing this ensemble, I would probably find it dated and cloying, but on Katie, it’s not bad. I dislike skinny jeans, but she’s working a pretty good pair, and that blouse looks feminine and sweet on her, rather than immature.

great hair. that black suit is unflattering. the white top doesn’t do her any favors either. very pretty woman.
the length of the black pants remind me of JCrew capris. I tried them on and was like “Um is this awkward length because my legs are ridiculously long, or is it meant to be like this?” The salesperson told me it was meant to be “longer capris” which (to me) seems like a weird almost high-water length.
Possibly it hit the weird way my JCrew pants are? I have to roll them up just a little bit or else they are very, very awkward looking.

I think she looks really pretty. The pants aren’t traditionally fitted but I think they’re just fine.
Her hair and makeup look good and I like the second oufit much better than the first…A for effort, Kate-bot!

The black pants don’t fit, but the hair is nice. She stands funny, but she at least tries to stand up straight when she is on her own. Good posture always makes a person look better and more confident.
I like the hair. What do you have to do to make it so SHINY!

Hate the length of the pants in the black outfit but otherwise she looks really, really good. Please, someone find out what she’s putting on her hair. Maybe it’s all those COS vitamins she takes?

She always stands that way, it’s so awful to look at… and always has that strange smile on her face (like she smiles with only one side of her mouth – I don’t know how to explain it, sorry)
I’m a hair fanatic…it’s the first thing I notice on other women. It looks like she got a keratin treatment. It makes hair so silky and shiny!
it was probably her idea. her personal ‘style’ (i use that term loosely) bites.
i don’t think he hates her…remember her bridal suite was spectacular. Mr. Armani outdid himself on that one.

@anait, the crooked smile is from Bell’s Palsy, a nerve disorder that causes one side of the face to become paralyzed and droop. She has mostly recovered from it, but it still shows somewhat in her smile. It’s not something she can help.

Kate has been looking really great lately. Somethings changed for her I think.
The top outfit, although not horrible, is not all that flattering. Still a step forward in the fashion front for KH. Kinda makes me wonder if she has a clothing campaign that’ll be announced soon.
The more casual style with the jeans is amazing. I’m not loving the bow on the top, but the jeans, bag and shoes are fab. I would definitely wear this.

I cant get over the nose job! Its to pinched on the tip. I liked her old nose better.
She looks so much better and happier these days…her and tommy’s contract must almost be up…
