Kristen Stewart: “People are crazy. I never wanted to be this famous”

fp_7537733_stewart_kristen_fp8_07_17

As CB talked about yesterday, Kristen Stewart’s full GQ UK interview has come out. Last week, I had the earliest excerpts here and here (as well as the photo shoot), but what got the most attention was Kristen’s admission that ALL of her teachers failed her. Would you like some more excerpts from the GQ piece? Sure, why not. You can read the full thing here, and here are a few more excerpts:

On Breaking Dawn: “Yes, we’re finished. Filmed every scene… It’s so rare in a career to feel that a chapter is closing but there’s something final about this. No more epic, iconic scnenes…I was nervous for the wedding scene. When I looked at the set, with the pews and the lights, and I could see everyone was there in all their outfits, I cried. God, that f***ing dress! I was stuck in that thing for a week; I could hardly move. But it felt incredibly ceremonial. It felt like a real wedding.”

Her bodyguard: “The big jump for me, I guess, was having security. And I mean, going everywhere with you. Just a big guy standing next to me the whole time. JB is his name — that’s my guy. And he would kill me for saying this, but even he has a goddamn fan site. All these girls have identified him and he’s now known as ‘HBG’ — Hottie Bodyguard.”

On the craziness surrounding Twilight: “Sure. I mean, people are crazy. Everyone does what they have to do to protect themselves, but it would be fake for me to sit here and say people are not crazy. I’m sure lots of people shy away from this question as they want to make sure they look 100 per cent appreciative all the time and that everything is the most amazing thing always… But at the end of the line, people are f***ing crazy! I would have been very happy just working from job to job, paying my rent one movie at a time. I never wanted to be this famous. I never imagined this life for myself.”

“Her first proper role”: It was in the independent film The Safety Of Objects, originally an AM Homes book about dysfunction and turmoil in small-town America. Kristen played the tomboy daughter of a troubled single mother (Patricia Clarkson). “I got Safety… towards the end of that period where I thought I should keep acting. As a little kid, you audition for so many f***ing goddamn embarrassing parts — and my words would have been pretty much the same at that age too…”

On her expletive-ridden language: “I would be like, ‘No. Way.’ Which is why I never got offered very many of those roles. I would just go though the motions. Even while starting out I took things very seriously; I wasn’t the sort of kid that would do a doll commercial or do a series for Nickelodeon. They asked me to do silly things, and I wasn’t a silly kid.”

She‘s always been this hardcore: “It’s funny. I picked an old backpack out of the closet the other day, one I used to wear all the time as a teenager. It’s covered with anarchy signs, all these quotes and these metal studs. I was like, ‘Wow, you must have really liked how that looked!’ Despite what people think, I was such a rule follower at school. I loved the whole slacker look, like, ‘Hey, I don’t care, whatever,’ but if I didn’t turn my homework in, I would panic.”

On acting: “I don’t want to discredit people’s individuality, bit I think people are pretty much the same. People are very similar. If you have a good enough imagination then you can feel things that you personally have never done before. That’s acting.”

On pretensions: “I think when I was younger, I was trying very hard to sound unpretentious. At that age, I was so bitterly self-conscious, and so desperate not to sound like a total douche. I don’t feel like that at all now. I think it was something I heard my parents say.” Kristen’s parents work in the film industry, as crew members, solid blue-collar liberals, behind the camera. “My folks have always given me hell for how easy I have it,” Kristen admits. “My dad would say stuff like, ‘Oh, just go and sit in your trailer, practise your lines, and go lie for a living.’ It was something I said as a kid. Don’t worry, I have a much more pretentious view of acting nowadays.”

On working out: “I’ve never worked out before. Now I’m only allowed to eat stuff out of a box. It works. Also, I feel more energised and stronger. It took me a long time to realise that I was a girl as a teenager. At that point I never really believed it. I looked like a boy for a long time. Now, finally, I feel like a woman.”

[From GQ UK, via Kristen Stewart Web]

I’ll say what I always say about Kristen: it’s takes a lot of thought and a lot of effort to be that self-aware, neurotic and “uncomfortable”. I think it’s just an act, her public persona, but feel free to disagree. In addition to those additional GQ excerpts, there’s also this expletive-ridden piece too:

You know this character so well, what’s it like to take her through this huge change when she becomes a vampire herself?
Kristen: It felt good. It was really weird. It was such a long process of the two movies being shot at the same time as if they’re one. You shoot, obviously, out of order and you keep going back and forth between pregnant, human and dead vampire Bella. There’s so many different versions of Bella in this, it’s insane. It was a strange experience walking on set the first time I played a scene as a vampire because I’d watched everyone around me doing it all the time. I sound so lame, but vampire Bella really is my favorite character—she’s very representative of a matriarch. She’s very intuitive on almost a psychic level and no one ever acknowledges it, which is interesting. Maybe that says something about Stephenie that she doesn’t get respect for all of her f–king amazing qualities. And that’s also one of the things that makes her appealing to me, so that’s not a strike at it—that’s something that I like about it. And I think it’s nice to see her finally get what she wants. That’s probably the best thing, even if it sounds simple and indulgent, which is why the f–king thing is criticized all the time. It’s nice to see people be happy. And she really—if I’ve played it right—is born to be where she is.

You’re shooting Snow White and the Huntsman right now which imagines Snow White as this warrior princess. What’s her fighting style like?
Kristen:
Not to trivialize it at all, but it’s hard to play an action hero who is also the most compassionate person on earth. You can’t hate. You epitomize bleeding hearts, so how the f–k do you do an action movie like that? She is sort of the last shred of hope for her land. She has this ethereal, spiritual connection to her people—she really feels things-and so it’s like we don’t really feel empathy. I’ve had some f–king eye-opening experiences on this movie. I think that to truly care for something isn’t just putting yourself in that situation aesthetically and then going, “Oh my god, I feel so bad for them.” It’s truly not thinking of yourself at all. The way that you fight is that you must take out anything that hurt your people. Basically, I’m fighting evil—I’m fighting the most evil motherf–kers-and it’s fine that they’re being killed. It’s anguish. It’s literally f–king anguish. She takes absolutely no pleasure in ever hurting anything. I’m exhausted right now and I was thinking, “The fight stuff is coming up, maybe that won’t be so bad.” And then I realized that they’re probably going to be my most emotional scenes because I’m killing people and I’m Snow White. It’s a really f–king cool way to approach a movie where so many people die. Not that I’m criticizing violent movies—I love them, generally—but it is nice to do it this way.

[From Box Office Magazine]

I was feeling nothing but disgust at the idea of Kristen as a “warrior princess” version of Snow White, but then I saw those images from the other Snow White, the one with Unibrow McBusted and Julia Roberts. Now I’m kind of looking forward to Kristen’s version. And just a word about Kristen’s language… look, I cuss like a sailor too, but once again, Kristen’s “blue language” seems like a put-on. Like she’s doing it for a more “hardcore” effect, like a little girl who just learned those words and now thinks she’s all hip.

  1. INeedANap says:

As much as she annoys me I really like her take on the emotional aspect of Snow White fighting wars — I hadn’t thought of it that way but it’s great food for thought. Now if only she could translate that turmoil to the movie (get your actressin’ panties on girl!)

Did anyone else think that what her dad said was creepy and abusive? Like, you work on films for a living, you pushed your kid into acting, and now you’re slamming her for it? Admittedly she is one to interpret things as “everyone is attacking me” so who knows what really happened.

  2. Julie says:

If she doesn’t want to be famous she should stop making movies. Oh it must be terrible to be famous and have millions…

  3. Guys says:

Who doesn’t want a swearing Snow White?
She never wanted to be famous so she signed onto the Twilight Saga and now for a big studio film. Bitch please!

  4. imabrat says:

I for one understand what she’s saying. Just because someone loves to act and be onstage, doesn’t mean they want all the hoopla attached. People ARE crazy, making celebrities into some sort of demigods. They are simply people with different aspirations and talents than yours.

  5. Guys says:

If she just wanted to act she could stick to theater or simply stop appearing on cover of magazines. It’s her PR team that is selling her yet she non stop whines. Her words contradict her actions.

  6. Quest says:

    Duh…then just stop acting.

  7. Iggles says:

Omg! I can’t STAND this stupid twit! Go sit in the corner and cry! If you don’t want to be famous – just stop acting in MOVIES.

If she did community theater no one would know her name! Stupid twit!

  8. Brina says:

I’ve said it before I’ll say it again…she always looks stoned

  9. Ming says:

As always, I disagree with you Kaiser.
I don’t get your “it’s all an act” thing. All must be fake, because all is fake, has been fake, will be fake, fake, fake fake – except this brazilian leguan. He is the real thing.

    What.

  10. Flan says:

Just go live in a cave and study meditation or something.

After her dumbass comment earlier about teachers having to provide for her absentee ass, she went from neutral to a vapid whiner in my book.

    Can’t stand this moron.

  11. really says:

what does she eat “out of a box”? does she mean fancy catered meals or something?

i like how she calls out the fanatical fans as being crazy. some of the responses to the twilight movies are so unhealthy and yes, nutso.

  12. Heatheradair says:

Er, weird — I’m actually going to defend this chick:

She’s admitted that she loved acting, she’s just uncomfortable with the level of fame she’s ended up with. So to quit acting would be to abandon her entire (admittedly short) life’s work, and that would leave a person feeling pretty adrift.

And the public relations gravy train is a contractual part of the job she signed on to do because she was a fan of the books — these actors had no idea what a huge DYNASTY Twi-crap would turn out to be.

SO — I can’t say I blame her. She wanted to support herself acting in little indie flicks, paying the bills, getting stoned and reading Kerouac, and instead she ends up with a body guard and a bunch of screaming tween nitwits who follow her every piss.

So I can understand being a little caught off guard by it all, but not wanting to abandon the work you still love.

SO — maybe theatre would be a better fit.

*I say all of this shamefully — I don’t WANT to defend her, but I understand where she’s coming from….*

  13. Cheyenne says:

Thanks to the Twilight movies she will never have to work again in her life so I wish she would do us all a favor and retire permanently. I’m sick and tired of her whining. Just get gone and stay gone.

  14. ladybert62 says:

I think she is not pretty and she seems to be a wooden actress – but hey what do I know, I am not making millions each year.

I do know, I dont like her.

  15. So not! says:

Her version of “snore white” sounds mighty interesting

  16. Sasha says:

Um, quit & move to the middle of nowhere (Wyoming has wide open-spaces & I guarantee your nearest neighbor will not give an eff who you are).

And yes, IMO, she should be thanking her lucky stars she feel into the Twilight franchise with all those “crazy fans” she hates because the girl can’t act her way out of a paper bag. So, that “working actor” fantasy would have *never* worked out for her.

  17. JaneWonderfalls says:

I never wanted to be this famous so I continue to do interviews…I feel so bad for these starlets, life must be so hard when you can actually pay your bills, and heck even get things for free because of your status! STFU already. Johnny Depp now her….STFU!

  18. Kimbob says:

Here are my thoughts on Kristen:

Her foul language leads me to believe she has a great deal of anger, & this is how she lets it out.

Anyway, me thinks she’s a famewhore like all the others…she just wants to be a “cool famewhore.” Hahahaha! Seriously!!!

As far as ‘People are crazy’ comment…that’s about the only thing I believe she’s being sincere about. Yes, I’m sure there are crazy-ass Twihards out there that flip her out…it would have the same effect on anyone, I think.

Also, I think she’s extremely insecure, & feels quite intimidated w/her level of fame because I suspect she realizes she’s lacking in the “intelligence” department, therefore the cuss words to keep the general press/public at bay.

  19. kaligula says:

People are “crazy”? What a meaningless comment. What she really means is that people annoy and probably frighten her sometimes. To paint devoted fans with that broad brush shows a sad lack of critical thinking ability and esp. lack of understanding about how the mass/media effects human psychology. Which is something one might want to contemplate when working in that industry. Maybe her teachers really did fail her….. Meanwhile, stop interviewing actors! Does anyone really care about what some movie star thinks?? What they wear on the other hand, now that is interesting!!!

  20. caitlinsmommy says:

    So. Tired. of. her.

  21. Rhiley says:

    Kristin= still boring.

Julia Roberts= God, she looks like she is 60.

  22. lucy2 says:

I don’t know, those books were insanely popular before the films were even announced. Everyone had to go in knowing it would make them famous. If you really don’t want that, don’t take those sort of roles.

The attitude and language strikes me as an act too, but who knows, it’s always hard to tell from interviews. I just wish for once she would sound appreciative of what she has. It’s pretty gross to hear someone so fortunate complaining all the time, especially when so many are struggling.

  23. Rita says:

First her teachers failed her and now we are all crazy and must take responsibility for making her soooo famous.

I really should be more careful about who I make famous.

The scent of Lilo permeates the air.

  24. Blue says:

She does not have to abandon her craft ( which she sucks at anyway) she could have done indie films or theater but I think those require actual talent and there are no special effects to hide the fact that you suck. Who knows if she worked in theater she might be a better actress because she wouldn’t last otherwise.

  25. LBeees says:

Eh, I found that to be inoffensive.

And the swearing thing, it’s just a habit. When you get into a habit, it becomes part of your unconscious behavior. Personally not a huge fan of swearing, but having been in the habit once myself, I understand how one might not realize the extent to which it is used in one’s language.

And come on people, her fans ARE crazy! All celebrities and singers have their fair quota of cray-cray fans. So let’s not pretend there aren’t some people who don’t go nuts over seeing K-Stew slinking along outside.

  26. N.D. says:

She doesn’t want to quit acting, she just would rather not be this famous and not be involved in such a tiresome and soulless promotional campaigns as studio blockbusters usually do.

And theater is not the same job as movies. There are lots of actors who can’t and won’t do one or the other and stick to one they’re good at or happy with.

  27. Anna says:

duh people need to leave that young girl alone. i don’t see anything bad i what she said . And when she said people are crazy, she wasn’t talkig about her fans. I like her and i hope she does well.

She’s not a party girl , never got arrested for DUI .she is just a young girl who speaks her mind and talk about her experience.

  28. Mikamoo says:

She is annoying.. she can very easily keep herself out of the public eye… much better known actors do it… and really she is famous for one thing… get over yourself.

  29. Apple says:

Seeing that Taylor Lautners first post-twilight movie bombed. I think cold reality is going to hit these kids when they won’t even be able to get auditions for movies in a year or two.

They aren’t famous the Twilight characters are. They are just puppets.

  30. Mikki says:

Well, let’s see just how much longer she will be “famous” after she moves on to other films now that Twilight is (thankfully) done. Perhaps then she can slink quietly out of the spotlight and do things that she finds less difficult to deal with.

  31. Emma says:

We all know Twilight is the biggest book-turned-movie deal – along with Harry Potter (and Lord of the Rings,etc.). Yes, the books were a big deal even before the movies. Big shocker that a 5-movie contract for these books made you super famous and super rich overnight. And for what, stuttering and making a pouty face constantly in all of them? Garbage.

In this economy, don’t whine; it makes us hate you even more. Besides, this is your peak and in a couple of years you’ll be wishing you could be a semi-justifiable famewhore.

  32. Skinnybetch says:

She seems real and that’s why I like her.

  33. Jane says:

Oh god, she annoys me so much.

She doesn´t want this level of fame? Then why is she doing her next huge franchise before her old one is even finished? I really want to kick her pretentious ass.

  34. michkabibbles says:

unibrow mcbusted? i think lily collins is lovely. it’s nice to see someone outside the cookie cutter mold.

  35. layla says:

Im beyond commenting on her… but:
“On working out: “I’ve never worked out before. Now I’m only allowed to eat stuff out of a box.”

Yup. Those are the words of an amazingly wise “woman” of what, 21. Wait a few more years and that WHOLE STATEMENT is going to come back and bite you in your non exercised nicotine fueled nutrient deficient a$$!. Stupid girl.

  36. Jay B says:

I am neither a fan of twilight nor harry potter’s . I thik they are all hype and i hate that. But at least she’s still getting job . She may not be in blockusters after twilight but she will go back to her indie movies. She has made enough money for a living so it’s not bad after all. What about the harry potter kids? I worry more for them to be honest. The harry potter franchise is way better than Twilight but i am sad because the harry potter kids will stay the harry potter kids for ever. the last movie came out 4 months ago and we barely remember the lead, don’t even want to imagine what is going to happen in 1 or 2 years.

I wish Kstew would stop speaking her mind though. Just play safe girl, say boring and cheesey things, say everything is great in the world and everyone will be happy. Say you like everything and you like being famous . No one cares about your personal experience at school, you talk about your teachers and people act like you insulted their teachers. funny

hmmm you are the only stupid one here . You can hate but at least read the whole freaking quote before writing such nasty things. She said she works out more now and it’s new to her . What is bad about that . At least she is doing that and eats healthier than she used to do .

  38. Lairen says:

    “…the one with Unibrow McBusted”

Isn’t Lily Collins a minor? I don’t think it’s right to be making fun of younger people’s looks, especially when they’re still growing and shaping their own identities.

EDIT – nope, just googled her. Not a minor, sorry. But I love her brows.

  39. TXCinderella says:

She’s so freaking rich at 21 that I feel sorry for her. Yeah, right.

  40. layla says:

    @LOL(#39):
    1. She smokes. Fact. So yup, nicotine fueled.
    2. “Now I’m only allowed to eat stuff out of a box.” Verbatim from quote. So yup, nutrient deficient as anything whole, natural, organic, raw, nutrient rich… as in fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains etc etc … do not come in a prepackage highly processed box. And no, chemical and synthesized additive filled “nutrient bars” do not count. Thou I guess that’s “healthier” than what… a twinkie? Don’t kid yourself.
    3. If she has begun working out, then good for her, lets hope she keeps it up. But her otherwise lack of tone or muscle definition says otherwise.

Nothing nasty said here – just actual observations. Funny, people are outright calling her names in these comments and I’m the one you single out as stupid and nasty. Funny.

  41. kent says:

lmaoo the hate that girl gets sometimes is ridiculous and funny to see. It’s probably the reason why she will never go away . I’ve been around for a while and last time i saw someone of her age getting such irrational hate it was about Angelina Jolie lol. She is young and she’s learning . Even her personal style is slowly changing . Geez people need to relax she was just sharing her personal experience no need to get your panties in a twist . It’s like people are desperate to find a flaw in every quote.

And i bet 90% of the nasty comments are from women , smh.

Another untalented, ungrateful, ugly kid complaining she didnt want to be famous.

Oh OK thats why you went into the business at a VERY young age. Plleeaassee!! Quit doing movies if you dont want to be famous. It comes with territory and everyone knows that.

If she just wants to act for the craft (no way because she cant act for beans) then go do theater.

There are MANY other creative outlets where you dont have to deal with fame. But she like all the others who complain BUT LOVE & CRAVE the fame. She isnt fooling anyone.

  43. LOL says:

@layla yeah she smokes like Robert pattinson, Adele , Daniel Radcliffe , Rupert grint , Johnny Depp , Michelle Williams , katy perry and million of others people in the world . So why such hate . You eat healthy ? Great bless your life but that doesn’t give you the right to say what you said . GET OVER IT

Poker face! She only has one expression on her face..the annoying expression, all the time.

  45. VRENY says:

people are boring . The need to find i this girl’s quotes something to bitch about is getting old. The one facial expression thing is old and boring as well she has done great in her public appearances lately smiling and looking happy . An actress talks about her experience at school and booom people act like she killed their cat . yawn

  46. Christine says:

I like her more all the time.

  47. Euphorima says:

    @ kent,

I totally agree with your comment 100%. Im a woman and I find it sooooooo ridonculous that women hate on each other so much!!!! This girl is so young and shaping her personality….why not try to give her words of guidance (since you are all soooo smart!!) instead of being so BITCHY.

And as for all of you slamming her acting in twilight as stuttering and pouty- faced….what if thats the way the Directors and everybody else wanted it….she plays the character of a teenager, confused and in love, and all of that crap!!!! so maybe she IS acting the part.

    Just lay-off with the hating.

  48. pinns says:

    Layla 42 and 37:
I took it that the “stuff out of a box” comment referred to deliveries of complete meals, (usually nutritionally balanced) etc, not “prepackaged highly processed box” foods, just IMO.

This site sure hates everything Kristen does, and I simply can’t see that she or her comments warrant it.
She’s still young and occasionally silly.
You are usually more balanced and would normally cut a 21 year old more slack.

I would be curious to see if this interview appeared anonymously, or was attributed to some other ‘vanilla’ celeb, would it engender such ire?

And to add the usual tiresome statement, no, I am not a Twihard or Kristen fan, just a casual observer.

  49. Euphorima says:

    @ Alynn,

I dont see anything sooooo wrong and annoying with the chick having a poker face!!!!

I’m sure it beats having a tweaked, botox face…..and i bet if she did tweak her face you would say sh*t as well.

All you haters are so trivial.

  50. Paula says:

I don’t think she is talking about her fans when she says people are crazy. She is talking about crazy stalker people that stalk celebreties. That can be extremely scary. She is right. And I have a terrible potty mouth. She probably grew up around people that talk potty like that. And I do think she is intelligent, she likes to read and expand her mind. Sometimes she just needs to filter herself a little bit. She’ll get it, give her a few years.

  51. Jackie says:

guess she is too young and immature to realize all this can, and probably will, go away in a few years. enjoy it now, honey.

  52. bluhare says:

Hey, LOL. Layla has as much right to her opinion as you do yours.

So how about you get over THAT.

  53. laura says:

I don’t see what’s so offensive or whiny about these comments. Except maybe the part about people being crazy, but they ARE. You wouldn’t believe how crazy some of the twihards can be, or the things her boyfriend’s fangirls say about her and threaten her with. I don’t think she was talking about all of the fans, just the ones who should be medicated. Twilight was supposed to be this cult indie movie, and I had never even heard of the books so it’s not inconceivable that they didn’t know exactly what they were getting themselves into. Robert Pattinson and the others say the same things but never get this much criticism.

  54. Turtle Dove says:

“My dad would say stuff like, ‘Oh, just go and sit in your trailer, practise your lines, and go lie for a living.'”

Odd how the teachers are the ones who are deemed unsupportive, huh.

  55. PleaseICU says:

I could give her the benefit of the doubt about not wanting this level of fame when the franchise first exploded years ago because who knew the the true level of cray cray that Twilight franchise would inspire?

However, my sympathy ends for her when instead of staying true to her supposed indie, it’s all about the craft roots (even though I think she’s done as many or more studio films as indie’s in her career) and running back to those films she goes and signs onto do another big budget studio franchise as her follow-up film to the Twilight franchise. And then proceeds to do mag shoots, interviews and PR red carpet appearances at various events when she’s not in promotion mode for any film. That’s what celebrities craving fame and A-list status do.

If she doesn’t want the attention then go away and work in theater or go work on true indies that film for less than $ 5 or 10 million where no studio rep calls the paps to “catch” filming to create hype for the film and she can disappear in between her films. Or go do theater for a few years and let the hysteria die down around her before tackling films again if that’s where her true passion is. She has options.

At this point, she, her publicist and agent are the ones chasing the fame and attention by continuing to feed it and take steps to increase it. And then complain about it. She’s 21. Her agent and publicist work for her. And Summit isn’t forcing her to do all of this. She is choosing to do it. So it’s ridiculous that she’s playing the victim where all of this is out of her control.

  56. Confused says:

I guess I don’t get why she would do another big movie project that will bring her attention if she hates it so much. Why not wait ’til Twilight is over, the fame fizzles, and then do your indies in peace.

It’s pretty clear she and her people want to capitalize on her Twilight fame and keep it going. Her actions don’t match her words.

    This girl is an idiot.

@Please ICU: you worded things more thoroughly… but yes, I share your sentiment.

  57. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

The default response of ‘women are all such haters and ugly and jealous’ response to anything a woman says or does that doesn’t adhere to the ‘What Typists Say I’m Allowed To Think About Anything’ is now beyond grating. People are going to disagree and they don’t need your permission to do so or receive a volley of warmed-over insults so belittling and trite that most kindergarteners shake their heads while lamenting, ‘this old chestnut’. You lose credibility when you berate someone for being too judgemental when the most bilious of statements are coming from your own ‘submit’ button. What do insults beget aside from more or the same? How do you hope to get others to at least understand your position and maybe become sympathetic to it when you cut yourself off at the knees playing Avenging Vigilante Fan Club before sentence one has even been formed? What’s so much nobler about attacking one person over another, what does that for the cause? Extreme distaste and sycophancy are barely different and bullying has one definition in the dictionary. It’s like those perpetual flame wars on the Tropic of Uncool, where do people get the idea that they have ownership over another person’s life, image and public perception? And really, what are those threads for but to remind each other of how much we’re supposed to hate each other–oof, them, as if it’s a race to see which side wins the prize for being the vilest, fastest? Still, it’s not for us to say to all their sympathies belong in the pre-ordained boxes. I owe the posters respect and civility even when the dare to cross me, but I don’t owe them anything else, least of all my desire or right to speaking my crazy mind, so don’t assume that someone else has some claim on it, that’s bunk and don’t automatically assume that all women are cat ladies in waiting and are just bitter about it. Because a man has nothing done anything wrong and they are all so laid back and above the cackling pettiness of girls–what’s that human civilization? Don’t expect anyone to take you seriously if you only trade in abuses, sentence fragments, sweeping generalizations and a victim complex that assumes that any of your embattled living gods would give a lamb’s tail about any of us, fan or not. Get over what, exactly? Show us the path.

  58. Camille says:

If she really is putting on an ‘act’ of being majorly self-aware and neurotic, then she is a better actress then people give her credit for lol.

No hate for her from me.

  59. layla says:

    @LOL…
Actually, there is no hate. Just an observation and opinion. You may want to direct your angst ridden diatribe to those who more directly labelled her with much more offensive names in this thread.

Eating out of a box, smoking and limited exercise is not going to last forever. Any actual woman, not a barely out of their teens girls, would know this.

I also realise a million people smoke but that doesn’t make it right nor lessen its stupidity. This is fact and not based on hate or personal feeling.

And yes. I don’t smoke, I am a nutritionist and have always played highly competitive sport and been physically active. So this opinion doesn’t come from nowhere.

And actually MY OPINION (and much scientific evidence) gives me every right to call her stupid for smoking, not eating well and shirking exercise. But I’d welcome you arguing your point otherwise… its a slow day at work! 😉

  60. Ugh!!!! says:

This girl is such a f**king idiot. Nothing that comes out of her mouth makes any sense at all. Not one thing.

It’s like she has this “ideal of cool” in her head and she tries SO hard to seem that way, but it always comes off forced and idiotic.

Stop complaining like a little b*tch. Stop acting like your life is so hard. Stop cursing when it’s not even necessary. Just STOP! And she’s not even as famous as she THINKS she is.

  61. Jayyy says:

the only people who think she is sooo F*ing amazing are her stupid immature fans

  62. jjj says:

I know a lot of actors who do big studios movies and still manage to get some privacy. Hugh Jackman is a big movie star but his private life is very private. there are many exemples like that out there. Way to sound like a total ignorant.Chill the hell out she was just talking about what she went through.

@Mamabesser so you wrote a dissertation just to say that ? wow that’s pretty emo and passionate of you . Last time i checked she was talking about her experience not yours. you are so pressed and it’s ridiculous.

@ layla who cares you’re nutritionist go take care of the people who pay you to give them some advices and stop commenting and say crazy things on blogs about someone who doesn’t even know you exist in the first place . You must not be very busy since you come back every 5 mns here to check the comments. No wonder…
Well at least she’s busy and is currently spending 16 h/day shooting a movie. She said her new roles require her to eat healthy and work out. Now go back to work and make yourself useful for the people who care about your opinion.

Give her a break, man. I don’t know what planet you folks live on but NEWS FLASH: People ARE crazy.

I live a normal life and work a regular job and everyday that thought pops into my head. More than once!

And for her, well, geez. Have any of you ever read comments over on The Awful Truth site at E! Online? The Twihards ARE psycho.

Way worse than the Clooney Looneys and the Brangelunatics. I am sure she had no idea and we cannot even imagine.

  65. pam says:

i don’t get why this girl is trying to say to be honest . Why did she share that part of her life. Now she’s going to be arrested for crime. Oh the horror how dared she say ” her ” teachers failed her . I had to read that quote to see that she was talking about HER teachers. The comments on here made me think she said all the teachers i the world failed. God forgives she was trying to open up and share her personal experience. like @38 said next time i hope she says her whole life is great she has always had great things in her life she doesn’t regret anything because everything is so perfect. duh

It must be very tedious to be K. Stewart.

  67. sarah says:

The only people who can act more victimized than Kristen Stewart are Kristen Stewart fans.

  68. Abby says:

I don’t care what anyone says, I love Kristen’s honesty. She says what’s on her mind whether it’s PC or not. She speaks her truth instead of giving “safe” prefab publicist answers that most celebs these days are accustomed to. No one is forcing you to read her interviews or watch her movies.

  69. Victoria says:

I think she is prettyish in a plain way. And then she opens her mouth and I remember why we as a people suck in general.

I hate the fact that she calls other children “silly” for entertaining children. My ten year old son (in the future) are not going to watch the Safety of Fucking Objects and even if they were allowed to watch it and understood it, they’d be like what the hell does a bunch whiny suburban losers self inflicted pain have to do with me?

She acts like she was such a serious child and so much better than the average kid actor because she was hanging out with Jodie Foster. Again Dakota Fanning has done serious films her whole life, and she does not come across as such a pain in the ass. I like her personality and I like how she handles herself in interviews. Kristin is a douche and after Twilight, I really hope she fades into obscurity. I can’t stand her as Bella.

And big up to parents who kept a tight watch on their children while they pursed their dream in entertainment and had them do stuff for the kids that wasn’t damaging in anyway. Amanda Bynes and Keenan and Kel in All That, Clarissa Explains it All, You Can’t Do That On Television, were all great age appropriate shows. Clarissa and Fifteen actually delved into some deep issues.

  70. Geo says:

Interesting that all those ripping Kristen a new one flocked to read an article about her. If I dislike someone I tend to ignore anything written about him/her.

  71. melanie says:

She came from a privileged life style and is now hyper defensive. I do like her and have always liked her but lately her interviews show a total lack of maturity…its starting to become annoying.

  72. aquarius64 says:

This girl must like working everyone last nerve. Every Twilight movie she tends to put her foot in her mouth. Any takers on when the walk back statements will be made?

  73. Sarah says:

Potty mouth, arrogant and talentless. Somebody please get rid of her. She should go back to where she came from, when no body saw her movies and no one actually bothered that she exists.

  74. Cheyenne says:

She’s a mediocre actress who hit it big in a gazillion-dollar franchise. Once the last Twilight movie disappears from the theaters, she’ll be a distant memory. If that makes me a hater, so be it. Twerpy little twihards need to grow the hell up.

  75. smh says:

@Jo Mama Besser: I like your post. Men say nasty things about one another all the fucking time yet they act like saints when we are annoyed with somebody who happened to be of the same sex as us. I’ve heard men viciously and inexplicably hate each other, a good example is Tom Hanks, a good actor who seems to be a decent person and for some reason they all blither about their undying hatred for him. Men are a bunch of ugly jealous bitter gossipy creatures i’m telling ya *eyeroll*

edit: and before anybody says i’m sexist or something i was trying to be sarcastic and show how silly and misogynistic their argument is by a contra-example. it should be obvious by the virtual eyeroll but you can never tell when to be extra cautious on the ‘net.

  76. madpoe says:

I never wanted you to be “this famous” either Kstew! Feel free to go back to a mundane life pushing papers and sharpening pencils and wondering if the boss will give that raise in this economy take sparkles with ya.

  77. Chrissy says:

Go away, Kristin, go away. After Twilight you won’t have to worry about being famous or caring one bit about you. Enjoy your freedom.

  78. laura says:

keep making dumbass remarks, kristen. you won’t have to bear the burden of fame much longer.

  79. mimi says:

Anybody remember the actress who uttered the line “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” ?

  80. mit says:

Nobody EVER complains when KATE WINSLET does it in rapid fire during her interviews or even in regular conversation. Kate Winslet can get away with it because? There’s NO excuse or reason why everyone should give Kate Winslet a pass when she’s WAAAAAY OLDER than Kristen (Kate is 36 to Kristen’s 21. 15 years!) and “should know better” like you all keep spouting. You know why you’re ragging on Kristen and not Kate, and it’s NOT because of her swearing. It’s because you don’t give a rat’s azz about Kate Winslet but you care about Kristen Stewart in the same degree as your liver and kidneys. YOU NEED KRISTEN STEWART IN YOUR LIVES! LOSERS! KRISTEN STEWART OWNS YOUR AZZEZ!

  81. LS says:

Kristen, have u learned nothing these past few yrs? Clearly the answer is no! This chick thinks a lot of herself doesn’t she. She just LOVES to blame other ppl for her own BS. Like in GQ she says her “boyfriend” is a brit, & then acts like she never meant to say that. Please, who does she think she’s fooling? Twihards are that thick? Wow. GQ has to get her okay for everything she says. This girl is just as fake as the other HW players. She just comes at it in different way. Which makes her worse, imo. Fake as fake can be. No talent so she rides Twi’s coattails. W/o Twi & Rob she is nothing. She’s bought into her own hype. And her fans are just as stupid for ALWAYS using the Hater/jealous comment. Both Ks,her fans need to get over it! Nxt up for Stew? Kris as Bella playing snow white. Diff role, same results. *EYE ROLL*

And fish don’t wanna be wet, and birds don’t wanna fly, and bears don’t wanna shit in the woods…Oh wait…They didn’t have a choice.

  83. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

My point was that it’s hypocritical to admonish certain behaviours in others while engaging in it in order to promote your own point of view. There’s no law that states that posters are required to insult other posters with whom they disagree. Why attempt to cure a spat by declaring a war? What’s so terrible about differing without eviscerating? This post isn’t about me and my presumed life history, it’s more about the feeling that articles are almost treated as if they’re the means to the end of taking a thread making your oppositions way too personal and steam-rolling what’s in the way. I’m not pretending to be pedestal material in this universe or any other, but we have a choice when it comes to dealing with our detractors and Douchebag Mafia isn’t the only way, so why not attempt to fight fair, and why assume that all people react a certain way because ‘women are always jealous’ or ‘haters’ or probably uglier than the person they don’t like? It’s not a horrible thing to talk to posters as if they aren’t scum. It’s not anyone’s job to hurl or absorb insults, that was what I was trying to say and I think it’s valid. If you don’t agree, so be it, but for the love of flame wars what’s so objectionable about leaving it there, before everyone’s ripped off his dignity? Civility isn’t a four letter word and asking for it doesn’t strike as high-handed to me, but if something about the way I went about sticks in your craw it means we don’t agree on one thing, and I’m free to respond with ‘that’s cool’ or ‘who cares’ or whatever catches my fancy. It doesn’t grant me cause to call people terrible things and assume every feeling we have isn’t proof of an undesirable nature. No one is above basic respect, so no one is free to act like a jackass and expect a medal for it. Opinioned and asshole aren’t the same thing, and if I want to see someone pretend that he doesn’t know that, I’ll watch House. Give the snark muscle a little rest sometimes. I really dislike internet bullying, but saying that wasn’t part of my plan to give you the snobbiest disease in the land. Chill the fk out with the name-calling with other posters, *that* was my point. Let’s not get all het up about this, it isn’t cancer, let’s call it bygones and let it rest.

  84. Karen says:

She needs to stop worrying. She’s not that famous and the more she opens her mouth, she never will be.

  85. HannahF says:

    1. I swore like a sailor when I was in law school. However, I certainly never swore during a job interview.

    2. The teacher comment was ridiculous but I give her a pass on the fame comment. The Twi-Hards are over the top zealous fans. It would have been impossible for her to have anticipated the fan over-reaction regardless of the popularity of the books. Most movies are not blockbuster hits.

In addition, she is contractually obligated to do PR for the films including photo shoots and interviews.

  86. Victoria says:

The whole point of Celebitchy is to comment on all of the posts with bitchy commentary when necessary. Everything is of interest to snark at. I wish people would get a clue and stop being so holier than thou. If you are going to be on a gossip site, be prepared to see people digging in about people they don’t like. This isn’t Pollyanna. Get over it.

Second, it’s not always what you say but how you say it. I don’t have a problem with some of the things Kristin says it’s the one in which she says it that comes off all wrong. When someone is coming at Kate Winslet’s neck she responds honestly and brutally and yes maybe it’s because she has paid her dues for some and lived past the age of twenty that some people think she has a right to speak her mind.

Kristin still has milk in he tongue and when she says certain things it comes out douchey. Kate Winslet doesn’t complain in every interview about every little thing. She is more tolerable in that sense to me.

Look, if you love KStew, God bless you. I love me some Whitney but the truth was that she was a crack head. A talented crack head and even funny but a crackhead nonetheless. I also accept the fact that she was way into partying even BEFORE she meant Bobbie and was not the one who got her hooked. It was clear to see and she doesn’t get a pass for dumb shit.

Love your favs, but admit their flaws.

  87. Heine says:

Meh, if you didn’t want to be famous, you shouldn’t have said yes to Twilight.

Everyone knew the Twihards would go nuts for it. There is no way she didn’t know.

  88. monette says:

LOL do you have multiple personalities? :))))LOL

  89. Marie says:

Even the constraints of celebrity weigh this girl, she should keep her feelings to herself .. in respect for people, the majority of humanity in fact, who have no chance to win millions, to be adored, pampered, have the luxury to work whenever they want, meet fascinating people, etc … .it’s just a matter of courtesy and savoir-vivre. oh, and let’s be a little lucid, if it was not for her role as Bella (she plays it horribly wrong for that matter) who would know who is this girl? she’s just an average teenager pretty rough and ill-bred that has been very fortunate in life …
And Lily, do not listen to the author of this article, dont ever wax your eyebrows ! be yourself, do like Vanessa Paradis, who did not care for those who said she should fix her teeth, Cindy Crawford who, god thank you, has never removed her mole on the cheek, or Audrey Hepburn, who was also beautiful thick eyebrows like yours.

  90. Angb says:

Her comments were innocent and honest. It was a good interview. I agree that these comments wouldn’t raise any protests from any other actress. This girl receives ridiculous amounts of hate. Love her.

  91. citmyway says:

I’ve only read the headline but right aways this is what came to mind: Somebody please explain common sense to this idiot! If YOU DIDN’T WANT TO BE FAMOUS THEN WHY DID YOU DO A MOVIE BASED ON THE BIGGEST SERIES OF BOOKS SINCE HARRY POTTER! Seriouly tired of her attitude about “being famous” and “wanting a private life”. THEN Stop making movies! Gezzz, it doesn’t take a very smart person to figure that out.

  92. Deniz says:

@ sarah – you got that right! lol
