We’ve heard in the past that Nicole Kidman is not the most pleasant person to work with or for. The 20080 Andrew Morton Tom Cruise book painted her as cold and moody, and described how demanding and particular she could be. He wrote “If the jet wasn’t stocked with Beluga caviar and all the trimmings she appeared deeply irritated, exhibiting a jaded petulance. Nicole often seemed bored or disenchanted with her life as a Hollywood star, expecting a luxurious lifestyle as her birthright. She had no sense of wonderment about the world. So many wonderful things happened to her, but she had an enduring sense of boredom.” Nicole seems to be genuinely happy in her current marriage to Keith Urban and to have taken the stick out of her butt now that she’s a two time mother. If this article is accurate, and it probably is, I’m somewhat surprised to hear that she’s still as much of a pain in the ass as ever. According to a source on set quoted in the Enquirer, Nicole won’t even let crew members talk to her.

Nicole’s career is floundering. The last movie she was in was was that Trespass clunker with Nicolas Cage. So you would think she’d tone it down a little now that she’s no longer a huge star. Not so much, old habits die hard. They’re even filming in her current town and she can’t manage to be civil to the people she relies on.
Nicole’s husband, country singer and fellow Aussie Keith Urban, has just signed on to be a judge and mentor on the Australian version of The Voice. Urban lost his own voice temporarily after undergoing surgery for a vocal cord polyp. Polyps are common in singers and Urban is expected to make a complete recovery.

I loved Nicole in films before she started messing with her face. Now her face distracts me the whole time when I watch any recent movie of hers. She tends to play moody and very complicated women, so maybe that is a side she struggles with in real life. Who knows. She seems sweet in interviews.

I simply don’t believe this post, or rather the source it came from. As a fellow Aussie, I have seen Nicole for many years as a young actress and she has always been humble and grounded. What a shit story.
I think that these horrible lies are due to the fact of that Nicole Kidman has the same manager as Angelina Jolie.
I saw her at very close range in a Nashville restaurant. No make-up, very downplayed. Needle thin, hair a la naturale. Had my Mother who suffers from alzheimers with me. She did not know us, but stopped by the tackle & said high. She looked around nervously while Keith ate his meal. She doesn’t seem to travel in a pack. Saw Carrie Underwood a week ago Sunday at a restaurant & she wasn’t as nice as Nicole.
Her hair looks like crap. I wish she’d do back to the vibrant red she had in Moulin Rouge. I think that’s when she looked her best. Blond and this sort of drab red-blond doesn’t suit her at all imo. Plus I don’t know if she’s overbotoxed or what, but she just looks like she’d be a b*tch. I’m not surprised she’s hard to work for/with. A lot of stars can’t accept when their fame starts to drop and still act like they’re on top, expecting all the bells and whistles. She hasn’t had a good movie in a long time.

She claimed in an interview that blonde is her natural hair color. I say bully that because I distinctly remember seeing black and white pics of her when she was growing up. Her hair was dark (may be brunette or red but definitely not blonde).

I believe this, only because my sister does a lot of extra parts in movies. She had befriended some production set people who apparently informed her of all the big biatches in Hollywood and Kidman was one of them. She is apparently insanely vein and obsessed with her skin, she carries an umbrella walking from her trailer to the set because she does not want the sun to touch her porcelain skin. Kim Bessinger (sp?) is supposed to be the the worse to work with, I guess that’s why you don’t see her around anymore..
I just watched Eyes Wide Shut for the first time and I HATED her character in that movie.

She said when she first met her she didn’t realize who she was, because she looks so common and average. A co-worker had to tell her who she was, because she thought she was just another extra.
I heard the same thing from a friend who met her at TIFF a few years ago. She said she looked average and unrecognizable, but that Jennifer Garner looks incredible in person.

I don’t blame her if the umbrella got moved. One of my biggest pet peeve is watching something and seeing the in-continuities in scenes.
And it may be an on set thing. Some people get focused and fell in order to perform their best things need to be a certain way, but if you meet them outside of work they are a dream. I had a co-worker like that once. Would fly off the handle at the littlest thing in the office, but outside she was the nicest sweetest person.
She’s been wearing so many crazy things on the red carpet, I thought I’d take a moment to point out the pale aqua/blue & the black dresses in these photos. They are lovely, simple dresses, and with her body type, they look smashing. Her face&hair, however, veer into caricature territory. She’s done so many amazing.performances-I can’t think of another actress besides Meryl Streep who has more range. And don’t forget, Streep has a bunch of clunkers to her credit-she is just as daring. Streep’s quality of goodness, though, wins the day every time. I wouldn’t want Kidman’s life for a billion dollahs.

The phrase “jaded petulance” was my favorite part of this non-story.
This really surprises me actually. She always seems to timid and insecure in interviews and pictures. After she and Tom split up I figured the almost aloof air she always seemed to have with him was her way of coping with her discomfort with the bigger-than-big celebrity life that comes with being with Tom Cruise. I’m not a fan of hers (hated her in Moulin Rouge and think she’s kinda overrated) but she’s always struck me as so shy and timid.
Her hair looks so thin and fried because it’s naturally extremely curly and red and she’s straightening and bleaching the sh*t out of it. If you haven’t seen the movie “Dead Calm” you should check it out–she made it with Sam Neill when she was a 22yr old nobody. And she has this absolutely GORGEOUS main of hair.

Agree! That’s the prettiest she’s ever been. In “To Die For”, she’s a very ambitious TV reporter and did satiric comedy so well. Wish she’d done more comedies before she got all cruise-controlled.
Anymore lip fillers & Botox & we won’t recognize her. In an old interview, she said she’d always hated her red hair. Her hair now is very gray. There are a lot pictures of her when she really needs a touch-up.

I have always liked her, so it saddens me to hear that Nicole is a diva towards people. FYI her hubby is not an Aussie, he’s a New Zealand boy who moved to Aussie. Kiwi boys are generally laid back and easy going to be around. So I doubt Nicole does the prima donna routine at home. I think it would wear thin on Keith pretty quickly.

Nicole came into the bar I worked at in Baltimore when she was filming Invasion. She was super nice. I was quite shocked that when she came to our little local joint to play pool and drink beer.
She was really down to earth and a great tipper!

I think that my be the case, I’m introverted myself and people can easily take that as being cold and distance, but that is not true. I can be social and warm but I get easily overwhelmed in social settings. I’m more of a one on one type of person. I like spending time mostly by myself and the small close friends and family that I have, but even with them I do need my space. But I’m not a cold hearted bitch!

Kidman has a PA to get her water to drink….her PA knows exactly how she likes it so she won’t be asking some minion to get her water to drink.
Prop guy should know where to put the prop for continuity that is what he gets paid for. Kidman gets abused for giving a bad performance, why should the prop guy not be told off for not doing his job properly? that is what happens in a work place.

Nearly every big star has rules where no one talks to them but the director, producer, and primary cast members. My father was an extra in “Erin Brockovich” and Julia Roberts was the same way.
Think about it guys – lots of people sign up to be extras not for the money but because they get to be in a movie and close to famous people. Rules like this help protect them from the crazy fans while they are on set.

i worked on a film that Nicole was the star in and i was not above the line or a principle actor. She was kind and pleasant every time i saw her. She is very focused on her work and disciplined. When you work on set you have to know when to talk, where to move and how to act. If someone asks for water you should know to ask how someone likes it. If they are working with a prop you should leave it where the actor was working with it. These are professional ways of behaving. Nicole is professional and I am sure just expects the same from the highly paid professionals around her. When you are working on an A list level you have to behave and respect the talent. I found her to be quite pleasant.
My best friend was Nicole’s make up artst on a couple of movies and she said she doesn’t care how much money they offer her she does not want to work for that freak anymore. she said that she is definitely bipolar. one moment really sweet and pleasant and then a minute later a raging lunatic. and yes, she is botoxed out to wazoooooooo….

I love Nicole Kidman, she is a wonderful actress who has made many good movies I have had the pleasure to enjoy over the years. That said, I can buy that she is a “bitch”. I take that as a compliment when someone calls me a bitch, like others have said, if it were men behaving this way the words would not be negative (bitch ice queen) but positive and empowering (assertive, confident).
My son worked as a PA on the remake of the Body Snatchers ( I think it was called The Visitors) when she filmed it in D.C. and Baltimore. He said she was a lovely person. His job was to protect her when she was filming the Metro scene. While they were waiting for filming to start, she asked him questions about himself and where he went to school and what he was majoring in. I’d say that is not a diva, but a very nice person.
Someone who is paid to turn in a good performance doesn’t want crew chatting them up between takes. They stay in character, work on lines in their head, etc, and it’s distracting. Also, if a prop is moved like that, the whole scene could end up on the cutting room floor due to incontinuity. They actually hire someone to watch for that on set. The water? I have very nice friends who don’t take ice in their water. None of this says anything about her character, in my opinion. Not sure I understand why it’s meant to do so.
Her public persona and publicity smiles should not be confused with who the real Nicole is. I agree, she’s been a totally great actress, and in photos or on the red carpet or at events, she is all smiles and professionalism. Keep in mind that the real person (who may or may not be a spoiled bratty diva) can easily still exist. Just because we like her acting character in films does not necessarily mean that she is nice as a person. If she is truly considered to be an “ice princess” on set, that says a lot, if this is true.

I’m not sure I believe this, and perhaps some of the crew have a vendetta and plant stories. Nicole seems very down to earth, a little shy and a sweet person on the whole. She is an acclaimed actress and has a loyal following of both fans and a-listers alike. Unlike Bland Hathaway, Nicole IS actually an A-lister whose acting is certainly not terrible and whose screen presence bears enough weight to carry her through at least several more years.

If the brainiacs at the Enquirer (LOL) did their research, they’d know that Stoker completed shooting back on October 23. That’s nearly six weeks after the fact that they elected to post the ranting from their “source.” Yawn.

I read a comment earlier that they thought Nicole cheated on Tom. That’s what Tom would like people to believe Tom an Penelope Cruz fell for each other while they were making that awful movie Vanilla Sky, that is why he left her, plus she supposedly mentioned raising the baby she was carrying Catholic not Scientology.

These are possibly true accounts, but my friends who are actors say that minor moving of a prop (the umbrella) IS a big deal especially if you’re trying to maintain continuity in a film.
Re-shooting a scene b/c of misplacement of a prop is EXPENSIVE and if the script supervisor misses that (which clearly happened) then actor is responsible for matching the previous take EXACTLY. If Nicole hadn’t said something, and the scene went to post, that’s where the director and editor would have their fit. And would THEY be written about so horribly because they got upset? NO.
Ice water when you’ve asked for water without ice IS A BIG DEAL if you’re talking for a living and managing your voice and your body for a specific performance.
Would you feel the same way if someone like a politician, getting ready for a debate was upset about ice water? Probably not. Especially if the politician was a man.
You’re writing responses without really understanding the degree of concentration and body control that acting requires. It is a physically demanding and exhausting job. It’s not a party.
It is very similar to an athlete’s physical demands. People have mentioned many times of Tiger Wood ‘s demands on the road, but it’s ok for someone like him to make demands and be moody? Why? because it’s sports.
Why don’t you spend 16 hours on a set for 2 months and then come back and read the article. I bet you’ll feel very differently about her behavior.
