I thought this was too depressing to discuss yesterday, but here I am discussing it this morning. Why? I don’t know. Bethenny Frankel’s life is an open book (sort of) and it seems like she has no issues with being upfront about everything in her life (sort of). Bethenny is currently promoting the third season of her Real Housewife spinoff, Bethenny Ever After, and she made an appearance on the Today show yesterday morning. She ended up discussing a recent health scare in which she accidentally burned a hole in her esophagus (seriously!) and she also discussed having a miscarriage when she was eight weeks pregnant.

Regarding the miscarriage, Bethenny said, “Until you become a woman, you don’t know the things that come with it. The window is closing, and it’s something I’m dealing with.” When asked if she was trying for another baby, she said “I’m not really thinking about it. I have thought about other women more than myself… I can’t believe what people go through if they can’t even have the one. … You go through a roller coaster of emotions about it.” Bethenny also seems to be pretty open in discussing her sometimes-difficult marriage to Jason Hoppy – there have been continuous reports that they are on the verge of divorce, but it seems like they’re still sticking with it. My mother will be happy – she loves Bethenny. I don’t really get it, but I ended up watching a few episodes and I came away thinking that Jason seems like a nice guy. And is it rude to say that Jason seems like he puts up with a lot of crap from his drama-queen wife?

I like Bethenny. She can be very funny. Sorry to hear about her miscarriage. I heard from another site that the interviewer on the Today show basically pressured her into revealing the miscarriage. It seems that she was 100 percent comfortable with it. I wouldn’t buy any of her drinks myself, but I appreciate her work ethic and that she is a good businesswoman. Hopefully, she and Jason will make it in the end. They really interact well together.

I think it’s a good thing she spoke about this. A lot of times you see older stars having babies into their 40’s and people think it’s easy. But it isn’t, fertility decreases drastically as we age.
Great point. The quality of your eggs also decreases, so the chance of miscarriage increases. I was very lucky, getting pregnant easily in my 40’s. However, I’ve had several m/c due to old eggs.
I love this woman..She is very funny..in a dry wit kind of way. Her husband is adorable…and I think they make a great couple. I didn’t get the impression they were on the verge of divorce…but the coming attractions sure could lead you to think that way. Probably just more drama to keep the viewer’s interest. She’s very high strung..and her lifestyle screams “stress”…so of course there will be tension in the marriage as result of the juggling of all her business ventures, baby and marriage…not to mention celebrity status. I wish her well. She’s a fighter…and I don’t think she’ll allow business to get in the way of her marriage. You GO Bethany!
I’ve watched her from time to time and I don’t see why women love her so much. And I have Never laughed at anything this b*tch has said.

Don’t get me wrong – love the woman. But, no. It’s not rude. It’s evident. After seeing each episode of Bethenny Getting Married and Ever After (seasons 1/2), she is so harsh at times. I think her abrasiveness is what makes her so likeable (ironically), but she definitely dumps on him. He is like a saint. He is beyond good to her, adores her completely.
Relationships are wicked hard and get more challenging the longer you are in them. Sometimes I think the most successful work when people just let each other be who they are.
I know a good chunk of it is scripted, but I do like their vibe together.

@Courtney. What an idiotic comment! Miscarriages are painful to go through and when you go through pain you need sympathy and empathy. Just because they are common doesn’t mean you are not hurting.
Love her. She has aspects of her that remind me of me. I think that he is probably not as good as we see on camera, and I’m sure they have normal issues that come with being in a new relationship, and one person is not fully to blame. I am going to watch this season b/c she amuses me, and I also enjoy seeing her work out her issues (and their issues). It helps me understand myself and my relationship a bit…
How sad. I hope she is able to concieve a sibling for Brynn. Its best to think that sometimes miscarriages happen because the cells were not developing in a healthy way. Hopefully next time she’ll have a healthy baby.
I seriously cant understand who would watch this pathetic, whiny, gold digging womans show. She has no morals. Her show is boring & tanking so she is publicly creating drama for attention talking about personal issues like her marriage woes and miscarriage. Have some dignity/decency for the sake of your daughter!

Saint or not, I feel for this poor guy. Your wife says in a national TV promo, “Jason’s penis has cobwebs on it” ???!! That goes beyond TMI, it’s humiliating. If it were me that would be grounds for divorce right there.
That’s what happens when you wait till you’re 45 to start having children…25-40 (after college/financial security/marriage in some cases because waiting for marriage in this day and age is a risky endeavor in and of itself) is the safest and best time for a woman.
It is appropriate time to make a few plans for the future and it’s time to be happy. I have learn this submit and if I may just I want to counsel you few fascinating things or advice. Maybe you can write next articles relating to this article. I wish to read even more things about it!
