Here are the first photos of Charlize Theron and her baby, Jackson. Except you can’t really see Jackson at all. According to Fame/Flynet, Charlize stopped by the post office to order a passport for Jackson, and she “kept her son under wraps the whole time, in a blanket covered carrier as she went in and out of the post office.” So he might not even be in there. If this was Beyonce we were talking about, I would say the “empty carrier” theory was a solid possibility, but in Charlize’s case, I think Jackson is actually in there. He’s already a little star, blanketed in stars, carried by a star. Sidenote: I wouldn’t mind having that blanket in a larger size! That’s really cute.
I’m thinking that Charlize needs a passport for Jackson because he’s coming on mama’s summer publicity tours for Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman. Prometheus comes out June 1st in Europe and June 8th in America. SWATH comes out on June 1st pretty much everywhere. So Charlize is going to be really, really busy throughout May and the first half of June, and Jackson will have to come everywhere with her. A friend of Charlize‘s tells Us Weekly, “Jackson will go wherever she goes. Charlize will be a full-time mom!” So… my guess is that we’ll actually see little Jackson’s face in time for Charlize’s dual press tours, right? Maybe a week or two before, mid-May? Nice baby photos in a candid photo shoot with a friendly paparazzo. Us Weekly or People Magazine will get the exclusive shots first, maybe.
Just for the hell of it (and because I can’t help myself), let’s watch the Prometheus trailer again. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Ok…just had to add that I was just reading the Daily Mail and on their web page this story is running. She’s holding the carrier handle with TWO fingers and her keys in the same hand. I can say with absolutely certainty that there is no baby in that carrier…

I’ve heard varying reports about how old this baby is. I read somewhere he is 4 months old. The way she is carrying that carrier, it looks like there is no weight in it. In the last pic, she is holding it at an angle. Baby might roll out if he’s not strapped in!
I vote for the empty baby carrier – either that or he’s one small baby, cos otherwise holding it like in the last pic you’d feel the weight imbalance the second you tipped him over.
I’m voting empty carrier too- she received Jackson at 4 months and it’s been another month since then- 5 month babies are “generally” too big and heavy to be in such a small carrier, let alone be carried in your elbow crook- that’d be heavy as hell.
I think she’s trying to build up the suspense for her People cover, or something.
Or satisfy them with a few pics so they don’t hound as much?

All I can say is kathy von zeeland makes the best non winnie the poo diaper bags. Used them with both my kids.
Maybe they can’t afford it. The more fashionable ones are more expensive. I would love to have a regular looking bag but I just use one the hospital gave me with their big logo on it. Of course, I’m sure some just like tigger or Pooh, maybe it goes with the baby’s theme.
My sister bought a cheap but big multi-pocket purse from one of cheap mall purse stores (pleather=wipe off!)
That did the trick, and I think she got it for 25 dollars, on sale, tops.

Those aren’t feet, that’s part of the carrier, and once the strap thingy is between their legs, babies feet don’t meet like that anyway.

Which part of the carrier is that? I think it’s possible for babies feet to meet like that if the babies bend their knees (kinda like diamond shape)instead of just staight. But by the way she’s holding it at an angle, I hope that’s only a doll’s feet 😀

Those blankets are awesome! I have a few for my daughter and they are lightweight/breathable. When she was an infant I’d put it over her carrier like that hoping she’d sleep.
Not sure about whether or not a baby is in there…but I am hating her extensions. They look terrible and she has such a great face for shorter styles.
Maybe I’ve read too many gossip blogs for too long, but I can’t help feeling a bit cynical about this. I don’t doubt that she’s sincere about wanting a child, or that she doesn’t want to do the best for him; I do feel however that she’s using the adoption (or doesn’t mind the press that follows) to help promote her two movies. That carrier looks emtpy to me. So yeah.. if pictures follow on Jackson on/during the presstour, I’ll be disappointed.

It is mind boggling how people fell for her crap. Just because she said she was already in the process to adopt him doesn’t mean she was. Celebrities lie to cover their asses all the time.
You rarely see CT. But, now that she has a black baby, she is photographed all the time during the most mundane thing. Looking like a publicity stunt(although I hope I am wrong.) I actually like Charlize, so I hope she is in this for the right reason. If not, I will become an ex fan just like with SB.
Yup. How can you hold it like that when there’s a baby in it? It looks like there’s no weight. I’ve been there before so I know there’s no way you gonna hold it in one hand in THAT position unless you’re so strong. It’s not safe either for the baby.(Or maybe I should give her a pass since she’s a new mom?)
Also when you’re carrying your baby car seat like that in your arm, it would kill your arm soon. And judging by the pics, she has the same kind of arms like me which is unlike a body builder 😀

okay there is a baby in there you can see it’s feet in the last photos. She has no idea how to be a mom apparently look at how she is holding it. Come on. I say this is a PR/Publicity thing because she is being pappped like every day now by herself and now with him covered up. I don’t buy it.
Also, I had to get a passport for my son when he was around 2.5, maybe 3 months old. And I not only had to go in the post office to fill out the paperwork, but also sit on a metal folding chair, be completely covered in a white sheet (because federal regulations apparently dictate that only the passport holder be visible in the passport photo), and hold him in my lap while the pic was snapped.
I suppose it’s possible she had a pic made elsewhere, but yeah, I’m going to guess there’s no baby in that seat right there.

???? Baby carriers weigh a ton and most women need 2 arms to carry them without a baby in them let alone with a baby in it. Thats a doll not a real baby – no way.

Ah, a low-maintenance fashion accessory, one that doesn’t really exist, except in the minds of her adoring public.
I had to travel with my then 5mo daughter & after holding my 5yo hand & pulling the luggage, i had her in the car seat exactly like that! So give her a break, she’s a new mom & learning…
My grandson is 3 months old today and weighs 16 lbs…those carriers are heavy and cumbersome. I think this is a decoy set-up with a doll or something, the weight is all wrong in the bottom pic and no way do babies keep their feet together especially with all the straps happening between their little legs.
Yeah, no way there’s a baby in there. I’ve carried my son’s carrier in the crook of my elbow for a moment or two and it causes pain. The carriers are about 5 pounds, before you add the baby. The last picture it does look baby feet, but again, no one is going to hold a baby at that bizarre angle, unless they’re readjusting (which it doesn’t look like they are).
If the carrier is empty what exactly was the point of going out with it without the child. Why cover it up to look like a child is inside. Just go out. don’t get the need to bring an empty carrier to make people think the baby is inside it.
Darn it! I was ready to believe it, the first couple of seconds. But you all are so right. Even the carriers with ergonomic handles are brutal. Just like an earlier poster said, carrying that in the crook of her arm, she would be totally begging for mercy in seconds. There is no way. And that last pic, the feet might have had me, but no way with that awful tilt. My mind is blown, so much weirdness.
While I totally agree there is no baby in there, for whatever cooky reason, maybe I am in the minority here but I always carried my car seats in the knook of my arm and I am no way strong. I changed arms but it always banged my legs when I carried on my side, hated that! I did however, carry it straight. Lol 🙂
Agreed, there cannot be a baby in the carrier. She is holding on too lightly and it would be quite a bit heavier for her with an actual child inside. But WHY is she carrying an empty seat? Someone said this might be to deflect from the real child being carried by someone else…can’t really figure why she would do this, can you? If this is just an empty cradle she would be carrying to her car, for instance, why a blanket on top?
It is very odd she can’t even fake carry the non-baby…As if she has *never* carried him anywhere to even know the real way! Wow!
Consider this scenario: There’s a bunch of papparazi outside. You don’t want to take the chance that your baby will be photographed. So you send the real baby safely out the backdoor while you draw the paps to you at the front door. Makes sense to me.
She’s a little late jumping on the adoption bandwagon for publicity. But, if she has adopted, I hope the little one receives love from someone. Most of these celebrities seem to use them as accessories for positive attention.

There is no baby in that carrier and anybody that has carried one with a 4 to 5 month old baby, knows it wouldn’t happen, I especially love the one with the keys in her hand. The worse part is it is so obvious. The funniest thing is we all know she is beautiful she is (except for those extensions), but she must be one of the most high maintance actresses in HW. Her entire outfit is perfectly matched, even her pocketbook matches the carrier, and this is just for a passport photo, that was probably handled in her attorneys office. I mean seriously. This was a total set up for publicity for herself.
She made this announcement about the baby right before all the press started on her two upcoming films, that was one of the most obvious things I have ever seen. Especially after reading the reviews.
You might think Sandra B is fake, but at least she arranged for a photo op, so her and her son could be left alone.
Before CT adopted this child, when was the last time she was just photographed and I do not mean red carpets.
I have a feeling this is only going to get worse.
There’s a baby in there. Minors under the age of 16 are required by law to appear in front of the passport authority with all legal guardians in order to even submit the passport application. So assuming she actually did go for the passport, he would have to be with her. Plus, I see his feet AND i’ve carried both of my kids in their carriers that way. Nothing weird, dangerous or unsafe about it. The car seat is actually very secure in the crook of your arm and because it’s held close to your body, it allows you to have more control over it so it doesn’t swing around and bump into things like guardrails and doors that you are trying to open.
I don’t think it’s the crook of the arm position that most are giving a “no way” response to. For me, it’s the last picture with her holding it with one hand, at a weird angle, and tilted with the baby’s head down. I know I’m not the strongest woman out there but I would never be able to safely carry a baby carrier with a 4-5 month old in there like that and I’ve never seen anyone carry it like that without being severely lopsided from dealing with the weight difference.
