Brad and Angelina were spotted on a motorcycle in Vietnam on Thanksgiving. There was a rumor that Brad’s mom had invited Jennifer Aniston to Thanksgiving at the Pitt’s in Missouri, enraging Angelina, but whether that was true or not we may never know.
Angelina was in Cambodia the day before Thanksgiving on a surprise visit to Maddox’s home country. She donated over $1 million for a forest conservation effort there and recently canned the non profit organization that was overseeing the project. It was thought that they were misappropriating funds. Angelina checked in with officials about the charity and also toured a Genocide museum with Pitt, a painful reminder of the mass murder committed by the Cambodian government under tyrant Pol Pot in the 1970s.
While in Vietnam Brad and Angelina took their famous motorcycle ride through crowded Ho Chi Minh City. Although motorcyclists pictured in the background are also unhelmeted, it seems kind of foolish for celebrities to be riding around with bare heads. They should realize they’ll be photographed and that they set an example.
True to form, Brad and Angelina visited a Vietnamese orphanage on Friday and gave out toys to the children.
HOLLYWOOD superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie doled out candies and toys during a surprise visit to an orphanage in southern Vietnam, a state-run newspaper said today.
The couple went to Tam Binh orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City and had lunch there on Friday, the director of the charity facility told the Saigon Giai Phong (Liberation Saigon) daily.
Newspapers, which ran front-page photos on Friday of Pitt and Jolie riding a scooter in the city, said their photographers had been unable to capture any shot of the couple on their second day in town.
The two arrived in Vietnam on Thursday during what appeared to be a break from filming A Mighty Heart in India, where they have been mobbed by fans and stirred a media frenzy…
State newspapers said the couple flew into Vietnam from Cambodia, birthplace of their adopted son Maddox.
That night they dined at a Vietnamese restaurant. One newspaper said they would leave Vietnam on Saturday.
Is Brangelina looking to adopt again, or are they just doing warm and fuzzy charity? My husband speculates that they’re not happy since they lead such a nomadic lifestyle. Is he right? I know I’m a homebody and hate travelling by air but I have to fly commercial with a toddler.

eh, I am no fan of Chinnefer Maniston, but I am tired of seeing these 2 globe trotting, doing good, when we all know, true charity begins at home. I wonder if they would be doing what they are doing oversees if there were no camera’s present.

I AGREE, this two over show off that their work is starting to look like publicity stunt, and yet Angelina started off well.
I agree wit your husband, they dont look happy in all the pictures since after the baby was born. They are also show offs and the only reason they didnt wear helmets was because they wanted to be recognised.
Well, I don’t know if the reason that your husband gives is why they are so unhappy (that they live a nomadic lifestyle) but I will definately agree that they look downright miserable, all the time. I guess it proves that even assloads of money and shacking up with America’s most beautiful signifigant other doesn’t bring you hapiness. Maybe that’s why they are always doing charity, to try and fill the void. Its not working.
Oh, boy.. are you all in denial? I’m sure he’s terribly unhappy, secretly pining for Aniston and hoping to be again in a gated community in LA.. NOT. If they were grinning and kissing in public you’d say they’re rubbing it in Aniston’s face or whatever. If they’re adopting again, people would say they’re crazy, if they’re not adopting, they’re “too cool”, I guess if they decide to visit an orphanage, they should also adopt or they look like they’re just doing it for show. If they look miserable on the street it’s only because they have paparazzis all over them all the time–nobody would be acting cozy unless it’s Paris or another media whore who can’t wait to have her photo taken. As to giving in secret.. I also have to laugh. I was just watching Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd doing a TV special on their charitable projects.. why? Ashley Judd is surely hoping for an Oscar nom and working hard for it. Very few celebs give in secret–even Paul Newman publicizes his givings. BTW, what’s wrong with visiting Maddox homeland and giving to charity there? “True charity begins at home”–well, that’s his home.

Celebrities leverage their public lives (Jolie, Pitt, Judd, CLooney, etc), which according to their PR hacks and agents seems like a great idea.
The small company I work for supports many local charitable organizations with the percentage of the profits that we make. We take great pride that we help out our local soup kitchens, homeless shelters, local schools and veteran assistance programs. Does the importanc e of our donation diminish because we are average Americans? I don’t think so.
These high paying celebs should continue to write the checks even in the absence of a flashblub.
It would be cool to travel all across the world. But constantly?! I would just go to one place and stay there for a month or something. I’m glad Angie shut down that non-profit, they probably were using the money to pay themselves buckets of money to pay for prostitutes to pleasure them on a consistent basis.
I realize they have nannies and a private plane, but even so travelling that much with three kids 5 and under sounds exhausting! still, Angelina seems to thrive on it. Brad, however, has been looking weary to me and would probably prefer not to be on the go quite so much.
Who’s to say that other celebrities don’t want the coverage these two get but are unable to get it? I read an article written about a celebrity photographer which was quite an eye opener. According to him, pics of some big name celebrities just don’t sell like pictures of others. Obviously Brangelina pictures are the money shots which explains why there are always pictures of them….just saying.
If I had unlimited money I would travel and be a “nomad” as well! Besides, once you are used to a foreign country you can make up your mind to be at home anywhere, just order room service and relax!There is more to life than partying in Hollywood, trying to win public approval on the BORING red carpet and living a drab 9 to 5 life. Just because they may not be smiling does not mean they arn’t happy. I am not a natural smiler either, but I am 100% happy with life. I bet they are both thankful they have found a best friend that share the same values and adventursome spirit.
Quite honestly I couldnt give a toss if their primary reason for doing charity work is based solely on self-publicity (although I find it hard to believe). The important point is that they are helping others and whatever way you look at it that is good news. And I think they’re really happy together, I’ve seen heaps of pics of them laughing, touching and enjoying each other’s company. I saw Mr and Mrs Smith again last night as it was on Star Movies and it was brilliant. Brad’s much better in it than Angelina, he’s really funny!
Millie and co, how can you say, that if they look miserable it is only because the paparazzi are all over them? That is BS, if you are a high profile couple, and you get onto a motor bike without helmets(emphasis)and ride around town; what do you expect? They know they are attracting attention and they love it, I mean these are people who chose to be famous(quoting Brad), so i dont buy that trash of the paparazzi are all over them.
The reason why Angie doesn’t love America and has decided to globetrot is simply because she is no longer welcome in many circles,Brads family and friends don’t know how to treat her, remember this was a former heroin addict who slept with every man in tinseltown had orgies and had a vial of blood as a pendant for a necklace. you dont hear any one in hollywood singing her praises even after her UN work because the old Angelina is still so fresh in their minds
She ostracised her family (DAD), Her mom is on her death bed and she never made any real friends so US doesnt hold much for her, her life revolves around her work now and the kids, I believe she has changed but starting over is kinda hard.
It is hard for Brad to introduce such a woman to his family or friends (it was rumoured that Brad’s friends having gotten used and loyal to jen in ocean 11 and 12 dissed her(Angelina) on the set of oceans 13, clooney especially), so it is better for her to trot outside the US.
