This story just sent me on a whirlwind IMDB-ing that left me wondering, “Why isn’t Damon Wayans Jr. a bigger star?” This post isn’t even about Damon Wayans Jr., although I hoping for an opportunity to write about how much I love that man at some point. Anyway, this post is about two other ABC sitcom stars, Eric Stonestreet (Cameron on Modern Family) and Eliza Coupe (Jane on Happy Endings). They might be having an affair! Except not really. Probably not. But there are rumors that Eric was a “wandering eye” and that he’s fooling around on his girlfriend of some-odd 3 years, Katherine Tokarz (the brunette in these photos). I knew Eric was straight, and I knew he had a girlfriend. But I would have never guessed that he was a womanizer?
“Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet’s enormous ego and wandering eye are wrecking his love life, say sources. Stonestreet met Broadway dancer/actress Katherine Tokarz in December 2009 and they’ve been together ever since. But no sources close to Eric, 40, say fame has gone to his head and he can’t resist the attention he’s getting from hot women who constantly throw themselves at him.
“Women are becoming like catnip for Eric – he has a wandering eye and can’t seem to control himself,” a set insider told The Enquirer.
Stonestreet was photographed getting cozy with “Happy Endings” star Eliza Coupe in late May while partying with her at Sway nightclub in the SoHo section of New York City until 2 am. Even though she’s happily married and both insist they are just good friends, a source said: “That doesn’t make Katherine feel any more comfortable with Eric’s out of control flirting. While she’s stuck in LA for the summer doing a play, he’s hanging out with other women and acting very cavalier about it.”
When Stonestreet and Katherine first got together, Eric was thrilled because he was finally able to put long-simmering gay rumors about his love life to rest. But since then, “success has gone to his head… he’s still crazy in love with Katherine, but he thinks he’s the toast of Hollywood and can get any chick he wants. And that’s threatening to wreck the relationship.”

Well, I didn’t know Eliza Coupe was married. I think we have photos of Eric and Eliza together (below, Eric talking to a mystery blonde on the sidewalk).
Perhaps they’re just friends. It’s possible that Eric and Eliza aren’t boning, but Eric still has a wandering eye. It’s also possible that Eric is a loyal boyfriend and all of this is just malicious gossip. I have no idea. But here’s another question – who is THIS blonde (below) – Eric went to a Lakers game with her in April. Hmm. Is it Katherine with newly dyed blonde hair? Or is it a mystery woman? SO confusing.

That’s not the best picture of her, but I think Eliza is SO pretty, and she’s really funny on that show. So is DWJ.
I think he’s hysterical on MF but I don’t see the attraction at all. I was actually thinking recently that he doesn’t look healthy. At all.
Although I guess fame and money are enough of an attraction to a lot of people.

As for the Eliza rumor, if she says they’re just friends I’d be inclined to believe her. Lol!
I agree, I worry about his health. I saw Almost Famous a few days ago, and was SHOCKED to see him in a brief scene…and he was actually a lot bigger back then. So he is getting healthier, but he still has a ways to go.
I worry about “Manny” too, and hope he doesn’t get too stuck in the “funny chubby kid” rut. Sometimes kids can be scared to change when they find success being a certain way.

O.K., here’s a star I can actually speak about with some authority because I’ve met him- his lovely mother still lives in the K.C. area, and he comes home quite often- He’s a very nice man, not full of himself at all! I certainly can’t speak for his actions back in lala land, but this story seems out of character for him.
And- I think that Eliza is hilarious on Happy Endings! I love that show!

Wow, paps should start following Eric–the idea that he is out until 2 am nightclubbing is kind of hilarious.
I knew Eliza is married and her husband, Randall is really handsome (I love Happy Endings, I googled her and Damon more tan once). Her husband is quarter Native American and he kinda looks like younger Johnny Depp in some pictures. They seem like a good match, jugding from their Tweets – both slightly crazy, artistic types with the weirdest sense of humor. Eric might be a great guy but I doubt Eliza would cheat on her husband with him. They might be just friends, it happens.
Note to Kaiser – you should check her youtube channel called “bvenscus” – she filmed the whole series of videos titled “Why Won’t You Talk To Me” about her obsession with Michael Fassbender. She talks crazy stuff to his pictures cut out from some paper. It’s not exactly my sense of humour, but maybe you would like it.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! I LOVE Eliza Coupe and Eric Stonestreet! She is so great on Happy Endings and I loved her on Scrubs too. You are correct about Damon Wayans Jr, he is so hilarious on that show! Seriously, everyone here needs to start watching that show. The best episode is when they are trying to out-improv each other all over town.

I cannot stand Happy Endings and I don’t get the appeal. However, I know I am biased because I used to rep Adam Pally and you want to talk about an arrogant narcissist? That guy is the definition of it. So I’ve always hoped for the failure of the show because he was such a jack ass when I had to deal with him. That being said, I hope this not true about Eric Stonestreet but sadly, it wouldn’t surprise me. Fame messes with people’s heads.
Happy Endings is so underrated as a show. Eliza and DWJ have a great chemistry and comedic timing. Everyone on that show is brilliant. LOVE it.
Well my best friend met the cast of MF in wyoming while they were filming and she said most of the cast was nice BUT Eric Stonestreet. She said he acted better than everyone and wouldn’t sign autographs or take pictures. She does have some great pics of everyone else…and they all seemed to be having a great time.

He’s a nice guy, I’ve known him for years. He cares about his friends and does a lot for charity . Some people actually don’t judge others from the outside. But if you do, stay in the shallow end of the pool where you fit in.
I went to school with Katherine. Her and Eric did break up and she is now engaged to Bret Calvert as of today.
