SNL’s Horatio Sanz lost 100 pounds

Chilean-American comic Horatio Sanz, 39, the a former castmember on Saturday Night Live from 1998 to 2006, has lost over 100 pounds. He looks incredible and a lot healthier:

When we ran into Saturday Night Live alum Horatio Sanz at the Montblanc-sponsored “24-Hour Plays” last week, we couldn’t help but notice how trim he looked! We asked him if he’d lost weight. “I’ve been eating better,” he admitted. “I’ve been trying to come up with a joke about how I’ve lost weight and I was going to say, ‘I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes.'” Apparently, he’s lost about 100 pounds. Roughly. “I never weighed myself when I was at my fattest, because I was scared I might die,” he said. He’s been working out, too. Now, if he goes back on SNL to play new Commerce secretary Bill Richardson (the invitation’s still open, we hear), he’ll have to wear a pillow on his belly!

What amazes me when people lose so much weight is how different they look. Sanz is an attractive guy and he probably has a whole new lease on life. According to IMDB, he appeared in this year’s Will Ferrell and John Reilly comedy Step Brothers in a brief part and will next appear in the TV show “Bad Mother’s Handbook.” He is also working on the movie Hollywood and Wine with Chris Kattan. Congratulations to Sanz!

Wow, that’s awesome. It’s fantastic to see him take control of his body and not end up as other SNL alumni who were overweight. I hope he’s still successful in his acting/comedy.

He could come back to SNL and do a Kevin Smith on a Diet skit because with those glasses and facial hair, he looks a lot like Smith.

  14. Persistent Cat says:

Aleach, he does look like Kevin Smith.

I never liked him on SNL. He always broke character and laughed and that’s not cool. Although, “you’re the best in the biz, Judy Pathos” will forever make my husband and I laugh.

  15. KateNonymous says:

He does look like Smith now, although I think Smith’s goal is to look like Horatio Sanz as he is today.

I wonder what Smith will look like then?

  18. Lose Pounds says:

In fact, if you want to lose pounds really fast, you should pretty much avoid all processed foods for the time being, including breads, cereals, pastas, packaged snack foods, baked goods, etc. Regarding how to lose pounds, dinner could include a fresh garden salad, grilled chicken, and green vegetables. By switching from an unhealthy to healthy and lower calorie dinner, weight will begin to come off. When it comes to the best way to lose pounds, an individual needs to go backwards in time.
