I really, really hope this post brings out some wailing Avengers fan-girls. First, let me ask you: does Scarlett Johansson seem like the kind of woman who would be overly friendly with your husband? Yes. I think she would. I’m not saying she would actually bone a married dude (Am I? I don’t even know), but I do think she would be one of those women who just flirts with every dude, regardless of his single-or-married status, regardless of whether you’re shooting dagger-eyes at her as she leans in and bats her eyes at your husband. Anyway, this Enquirer story definitely plays into that image that some of us have of Scarlett. According to sources, the “wives” of some of the Avengers are not happy with their husbands’ close friendships with ScarJo. I guess Black Widow’s special power is jiggling AND flirting.

From what I know of Susan Downey, she really doesn’t seem like the jealous type. She has RDJ’s heart, and she knows it. She probably thinks it’s cute that Robert flirts, but I also buy the idea that Robert knows his limits, and he would never do anything to harm his marriage, you know? As for the Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky stuff… hahahaha. I can’t wait to read the comments on that one. Oh, and ScarJo better not try anything with Mark Ruffalo!! I spend about 90 percent of my time with men, since I work in the technology industry which is just packed with men. Most of my friends are males.
I do not flirt with them. I do not go out of my way to compliment them, or actively ignore other women.
I don’t think Scarlett would behave the same way. I think she’s THAT GIRL that nobody can stand because she plays the ‘I’m just a tomboy teehee” card and measures her self worth by how many men are interested in her.
I could be wrong, but that’s the vibe I have gotten from Scarlett from day one.

I too seem to gravitate towards the guys and no I’m not seen as a threat because, well, you can’t see me but… particularly at the unforunate parties where the sexes seem to diverge. The boys are just talking about more interesting things.

I agree on Scarlet being overhyped by the media. I think of her along the same lines as K-stew. They both are just okay when it comes to acting and they really aren’t drop dead gorgeous. They both try to exude this independent tough girl image. It is all about PR and hype today…..I personally think this whole twilight romance saga is one big PR campaign for the last twilight movie. Interest has faded with that series and this gets their fan base energized.

I read somewhere when they filmed the Avengers it was pretty isolated. The actors became pretty tight and would go drinking and dancing together. It sounds like S.J. is just one of the guys. But it would probably bother me with the texting back & forth.

As for RDJ he ain’t gonna cheat on his wife. No way. It’s not happening. My hubby went to school with Susan’s older brother Steve Levin and I can tell you that her family is one of the nicest I have ever met. RDJ fits in perfectly. He loves and respects his in laws who never questioned why their daughter was dating a well known drug user and a fellon back in the day. His brothers in law are great guys and they have a great relationship. One of the them even works with them at their production company. It’s a close knit family free of any Hollywood drama.
He and Susan are very very close you could say almost attached to the hip. They hardly ever spend any time apart and they would never go out for more than two weeks without seeing each other. She either produces his movies or moves in with him whenever he’s shooting a movie away from home. Like she did now for IM3 (hey’ve been living in North Carolina for the past two months.). She’s very smart and believe me she knows exactly what’s going on and keeps tabs on everything and everybody in his life, be it his co-stars or anyone else. If you wanna be friends with RDJ you first have to get pass Susan.

If this is all true about Scarlett, her being That Girl in the ladies’ room, then I definitely do not respect her. Actually, I have never much liked her anyway, and this seals it for me. I’m glad Ryan has moved on. I don’t agree with people who think she’s a bombshell. I find other actresses much more attractive overall than Scarlett for some reason. She has a pretty face, but overall, I find her attraction limited. Maybe her personality factors into this too.
BTW, I know there are rumours about Jeremy Renner being gay (as there are about any given actor), but – go look at the body language of Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson in their promotional interviews for ‘Avengers’ and tell me these two were not a deeply enamoured couple.
