Miranda Kerr has a sexy (ish) photo shoot with Terry Richardson in the new September issue of Harper’s Bazaar. You can see the photo shoot here – the photos are slightly NSFWish. I can never tell if butt crack is SFW or NSFW. I will say, Miranda’s body in bangin’. She looks lean and strong and sexy, and I like that she doesn’t have bolt-ons, choosing to rock her small(er) boobs. There are also some really great boots in the shoot – I’m personally in love with Givenchy pair, although I would never, ever be able to walk in them. Miranda also gave an interview to Bazaar, which you can read in its entirety here. Miranda appeared on the cover of Bazaar UK a few months ago, and people are still pissed about her comments regarding epidurals – so it’s interesting that she stays away from discussing childbirth in this interview:
Miranda’s style icons: “I have always admired Audrey Hepburn’s style and my Nan has always been a style icon for me. Growing up I would play in her wardrobe and was very influenced by her. She taught me that you don’t need to have a lot of money to have style. It’s the way you put things together and how you carry yourself.”
Her favorite shopping spot: “Because I’m never in one spot for too long I shop a lot on Net-a-Porter.”
Her healthy lifestyle: “I live by the philosophy that beauty starts from within and I make a conscious effort to fill my body with nutrients through the food I eat. Becoming a mother has made me even more aware and more passionate about nutrition and wellness. So much so that I am now a certified health coach practitioner. I love when we are all together as a family and I can cook really healthy, delicious meals for them. Most of my childhood was spent outdoors climbing trees, swimming in the river, riding dirt bikes and horses and I would like Flynn to experience all of those things.”
Her diet: “Rather than diet my family instilled in me a real appreciation and passion for good health and organic living. I adopt the 80/20 rule. 80% good, 20% indulgent and that works for me and my body personally. I love food and enjoy eating fresh organic produce. I drink warm water and lemon every morning and I also drink lots of good quality purified and preferably alkaline water throughout the day. My Nan introduced me to Noni juice when I was twelve years old, which I drink twice daily. I treat myself occasionally and don’t have any guilt or conditions placed on it. Food is my friend and consistency is the key. I believe that everything in moderation is best.”
She still adheres to the blood type diet: “I follow the Dr. Peter D’Adamo Blood Type Diet as best I can. It’s an eating and living guideline that understands you as a biochemical individual… and I find it really works for me. I eat vegetables, ocean caught fish, and small amounts of organic free range chicken.”
On whether she’s a spiritual person: “I find the practice of yoga very spiritual and taking the time to just be and to reflect through meditation and chanting helps me to connect to a higher energy. I also discovered a spiritual strength in affirmations when I was very young which was the inspiration for my book Treasure Yourself.”
I can’t hate on her for any of this – mostly because Miranda seems to practice what she preaches, and because she really doesn’t seem to be “judging” other people who don’t follow her way of life. Maybe I’m reading this the wrong way, though. She was being interviewed about her diet and stuff, so obviously she talks about it a lot. But what about Miranda claiming that she’s now “a certified health coach practitioner”? I’ve never really heard of that job before, so I had to look it up to see if it’s real. It is a real thing – but it seems like the job is just encouraging people to eat better and exercise? You can get “certified” in that?

let the salt rain down in 5,4,3,2…
😆
Kaiser how tall are you? Random but I often get confuse when you talk about yourself in other posts. I know your mixed race and have a somewhat big chest. Lol sorry if this sounds creepy!
I’m about 5’6″.
Her face has always been “odd” to me. But anyway, I try to eat organic all across the board and I have to admit after two weeks of eating that way, I noticed a HUGE difference in my skin, my energy, my hair, etc. The only issue is that organic is so expensive that we basically only go out to eat once a month and put what we would have spent on dinners out towards our grocery budget.
I have to agree. I thought she had a baby/very young girl face, and that even if she is technically legal, it’s really creepy.
It’s not that her face is odd, she is very pretty but facially she looks like a rosy cheeked 12 year old. So when I see shoots of her like this, I think OMG but she is a child. Her face doesn’t match her body, looking so youthful now I suppose will be huge advantage, the older she gets, she will always look about a dozen years younger.
I didn’t recognize her face at first. Looks like it’s been airbrushed or something?
BOOTS!!!
I Know! BOOTS!!
Miranda’s not exactly preaching to anyone, she’s just saying what works for her personally. I don’t get all the fuss. She looks good here but I’m not a fan of the boots.
You’re right. She made it a point to say it worked for her instead of spouting off “everyone should try it for a week and see the difference OMGIT’SAMAZING” crap. I can appreciate that she didn’t lecture.
If it’s working for her and she’s actually living by what she’s teaching others, I don’t see any problem with it.
I’m sure there are some good, helpful people out there, but I know someone who is now marketing herself as some sort of health/life coach, and she’s one of the most f’ed up, mean and angry people I know. We all got a good chuckle out of her trying to tell others how to live their lives.
They need to stop trying to make her happen.. it ain’t happening -_-
She is so pretty especially when she smiles – I think these pictures only sex her up and do not do justice to her beauty.
I like what she says about diets and will have to read up on some of it as it is new info to me.
She drinks warm water to suppress hunger pangs and juice and water and food is her friend. Is it the sort of friend you keep away from your other friends and do not mention?
Considering how many female celebs end up with body issues and lollipop looks, would it kill her to mention an actual food group?
Gosh, she takes the time to educate herself on food and how each and every nutrient food works in her body (chemical reactions and all, re. alkaline references in water, warm water+lemon as the first thing after sleep -ancient eastern practice deriving major health benefits due to alkalinity while on an empty stomach, not hunger-pang related, how foolish you sound-, etc.) and you spit out vitriol? She says she eats all organic (meaning ALL group foods organic) and she mentions fruits&veggies (what do you think juices are made from, sunny delight!!?), fish and poultry and you cry DEVIL??!! What are you, completely off track? Can you read? Is food not chicken or fish or fruit or veggies to you, but pizza and burgers and poptarts? Sad, sad, sad state of affairs. And she even says that she allows 20% for indulgence, meaning that she STILL has the burgers, pizzas and the likes. Is food to you only processed food or american food? Do you no regard other diets that exclude your cooking methods as healthy? She practices the best and most logical eating (referring to group foods and frequency used, not the blood type thing which I know is not sound) scheme advocating HEALTH (not skinniness) that is out there and you give her hell?? Nice and intelligent, real intelligent.
I’m kinda surprised she didn’t pose with her baby, his dad probably took him for a photo op.
Sorry, did I miss the NSFW notice for clicking on this post?
A certified health coach pracititioner is a crock. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and am certified as a personal trainer through the national cretifying body. My business partner is a registered dietician. We face a lot of problems with clients getting bad advice ( not saying Miranda is giving bad advice) from a bunch of quacks calling themselves health or wellness coaches. Anyone can get this certification from a one day workshop or a diploma mill. Be careful who you listen to as there is not enough regulation in this field. We lobby for it, but it’s not a top priority even though it can cause injury and quack dieting.
Yeah the title does sound like a Mickey Mouse degree.
It works for her and that’s cool. She doesn’t come off as the Giselle judgy bitchy type.
the blood type diet is bullshit. if she promotes it as a biochemical science based diet, she is stupid! sure eating fish and veggies and so on is healthy but it’s healthy for everyone not just for a certain blood type. I think she is annoying and should just do what she can best, pose in bikini and nude shots. -.-
I’m with you in the blood type diet, but she thinks she knows what is best for our health…
” I finished a course in Australia in the Academy of Natural Living in integrated nutrition. I’ve got my certificate as health coach so I’m qualified to teach you about health.”

Miranda can teach us about health…
Also, she said Orlando is good at changing diapers because he is capricorn…
I had no idea it was that bad… Capricorns are good at changing diapers, you say? Of course they are. Good girl.
She got a certificate from an online course. Yes, let’s all follow the health dictates of Miranduh Kerr. If you followed her 4tbsp. of coconut oil tip from her blog you’d be floating in your own oil slick by now. And Noni juice twice a day, at $35 a bottle, I’d rather drink wine.
Thank you for saying this but omg everyone is always beating on Gisele
But what about Miranda?! The woman is like poison ivy in terms of being an irritant. Biochemicals my so-called-supermodel-ass!!!
She´s a certified health coach practitioner? SHE SMOKES, EVEN WHILE BREASTFEEDING.

Plus anyone who recommends the blood type diet as a healthy diet, doesn´t know shit.
“Most of my childhood was spent outdoors climbing trees, swimming in the river, riding dirt bikes and horses and I would like Flynn to experience all of those things.”
Really? Then she should prob stop pimping out her kid. No other celeb gets papped as often as she does and shortly after the divorce rumors there was a happy family photo op.
Since my first attempt got modded out, I’ll try again – why is it that around these parts a Terry Richardson shoot with Lindsay is disgusting and dirty, yet one with Miranda is sexy?
It’s the same dirty ol’ Terry.
Just in it for the thrill of seeing a young girl/woman naked. Not anywhere near art.
That mans computer should be checked thoroughly by the police. “Uncle Terry”‘s ick factor is off the charts.
Terry Richardson’s photo shoots are sooooooooooo predictable. BORING.
Get a house with land grow your own local food.. it’s the only ‘proof!’ you are that serious about your health
Just wanted to drop my two cents about health coaching. I don’t know much about the certified health coach practitioners, but I do know quite a bit about health coaches as I am one.
In the SF/Bay Area at least, most health coaching programs that I have seen use pre-med students and train them to be volunteer health coaches. These coaches are used in order to extend the doctor’s visit, allowing the patient’s to receive additional attention on their health that the physician would otherwise not be able to give.
The coaches are trained in motivational interviewing, and help guide the patients in making better life decisions, whether it’s patient education on better food choices, action plans on increasing their activity levels, etc. From my experience, many of the patients that I’ve worked with just really need the education on how to improve their health. The whole idea behind health coaching is getting people to get motivated about their own health. We are not physicians by any means, and I most certainly do not get paid, while I know that there are others that are “certified practitioners” that do.
I cannot stand Miranda.
She radiates smugness. She’s got this disingenuous thing going on, like , “What? You mean everyone cant afford to drink goji juice, eat wild ocean trout and the juice from the Himalayan starfruit that is only able to be picked at midnight by sherpas riding on goats on the blue moon of every leap year? Wow.”
Really really insufferable.
Miranda is just a country girl from Gunnedah in rural New South Wales who got lucky in the genetic lottery.
Mrs Goody two-shoes is not just a regular country girl.
She did anything to be in the position she is now. She was entering a modelling competition at 13, she dumped her long-time boyfriend for Orlando Bloom, got knocked up, so that he would marry her.
She did everything to be famous, and if she wasn´t married to Orlando Bloom, she would be just another VS model.
There are a lot of stories about her being a not so nice person. She´s just really good a creating this image of the nice, down to earth, hippie girl who just happens to be a model.
A blog you might want to check out:
http://kerrplop.tumblr.com/
I have no idea who she is, but I think the pics are hot, gotta love the boots!
She didn’t dump her boyfriend for orlando. Her first love died in a car crash when she was 19 and she was devastated. She named her baby after him. She’s not a famewhore and neither is she a preacher; she didnt force anyone to do the things she does. In fact, she’s one of the most down the earth models i ever seen.
Yeah, because after he died, she lived like a virgin. She dumped and cheated on her boyfriend Jay something, who after that dated Whitney Port(the Hills), with Orlando, got knocked up, he married her. And know she´s pimping out her family in order to be more famous, because without her famous has-been teen idol husband she wouldn´t be anywhere she is now.
I know this *sounds* amazing but I have never met a person that sounds like her that wasn’t totally crazy. I bet she has a full-on eating disorder or is a really difficult person. Cra cra.
Trust me. People who talk about food like this always are. It’s a red flag.
