Now, I will admit that sometimes (read: very often) he makes questionable hair choices. But, I can forgive that.

We attended Miley’s 16th Birthday Party concert at Disneyland in 2008 (Hey! Don’t judge – I have kids!!! LOL). Before the concert, “celebs” walked down a Disney path in parade fashion posing for pictures and signing autographs – Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford, the twins who play Zack and Cody among others . . . AND Miley-Gurl’s family – Miley’s mom, Meema and Billy Ray. I have to say, Billy Ray was the nicest guy. Some of the celebrities completely snubbed the kids; but, he shook hands, stopped and posed and signed autographs with as many kids / people as possible. And he was really sweet about it. I had to ask him to wait for a second photo with my son as the flash didn’t work the first time. He didn’t even think twice – no problem.
And – go ahead and shoot me. But, in “real life” – he’s very handsome.
P.S. The mom and grandma were very nice, too. Miley . . . not so much.
I’ve seen him in person, close up and he is a very very attractive man! It seems like most peope make fun of him but he takes it in stride because he can sing, made his money and has a nice life, and that was before Miley became famous!
He was really good as the dad in Hannah Montana – he brought a welcome mellowness as an antidote to the usual Disney School of Overacting. My guess is that the parade of celebs willing to play wacky characters in the show was because of him – my bet is that he’s well-liked. Whatever his daughter made on the show pretty much stayed in trust for her. Miley verified that her parents were paying her expenses just as they would have if she weren’t working, they weren’t dipping unduly into her paychecks. Her dad is worth quite a bit of cash, he doesn’t seem to have expensive tastes and hasn’t been wasting it.
Wig. The hairline seems to have drooped forward an inch. Bet he’s bald.
