There are a million little Kristen Stewart stories in various tabloids and such, so let’s just get to them. I had hoped that the Twihard news would die down significantly after the Breaking Dawn Part 2 press tour… and I guess it has. We are no longer facing a daily onslaught of all things Robsten, so that’s good. But the Twihards still demand more and more details about their heroes. So… here you go:
*There are rumors going around about Kristen’s Balenciaga contract. She was tight with Nicolas Ghesquiere, but he left Balenciaga a month ago and Kristen hasn’t worn any Balenciaga since. Alexander Wang was just named the new creative director of the famed fashion house – and Wang definitely has less Twihardy urges. Like, Wang loves Michelle Obama and Zoe Kravitz. I could totally see Zoe replacing K-Stew as the face of Balenciaga.
*Kristen allegedly told Marie Claire Australia (these might be old quotes, I don’t know) that “Thankfully I was never told I needed a Prince Charming or anything more than what I already had in me. You have to find your own way in life. I’m not into that rescue stuff.” I know she’s just trying to act all tough and hardcore and authentic, but I can’t really slam her for this. I wish more young, influential women would talk about how Prince Charming is a pipe dream. CoughSwiftycough.
*Kristen also has a new interview in the LA Daily News in support of On the Road. Here’s a good quote about learning how to surround herself with people who make her uncomfortable: “I read [On the Road] at a stage of life where you realize that you can choose the people who surround you. You can fall into the habit of being comfortable. There are people that are nice to be around, but they don’t challenge you. Those are not the people I wanted in my life. I want people to throw me off a little bit so I can figure out why. After I read the book, I thought I needed to find people that I feel like I needed to chase after. And I wanted it to be hard to keep up with them. So it wasn’t difficult to stay committed to the movie.”
*Kristen on whether On the Road is misogynistic, or if it has something to say to the current generation of feminists: “People ask me why is the story so relevant if we progressed to this point – that times were so different, so conservative then. I’m not too sure about that. Maybe on the surface, but I don’t think people change. Circumstances change. Human desires, things that you want out of life are always going to be pretty varied. But there’ll always be a group of outsiders who don’t feel that way. Once they find each other … they make it OK to walk a different line and have different expectations of life.”
*And finally, Hollywood Life reports (straight from K-Stew’s Twi-hole) that Kristen is TOTES OVER Rupert Sanders and she, like, totally doesn’t even, like, think about him anymore. A source tells HL: “Kristen doesn’t talk to or talk about Rupert Sanders to anyone. Unless Rob brings up his name for some reason, Kristen would never, ever mention his name. She has moved on. She is really just focused on her number one priority right now, which is Rob.” I’m sure she has moved on. I’m sure she’s on the hunt for her next lover, someone who can “challenge” her because she doesn’t like how “comfortable” it is with her Prince Charming. See how I wrapped that all up? Epic.

Actually, the fact that she cheated with a married man is the main reason that intelligent people got so angry with her. If Miss Stewart had chosen a single man as a partner for her philandering and then stayed with that person claiming true love made her do it, the scandal would have blown over by now. The fact that she knew Mr Sanders wife and children and had befriended them is what most people consider so devious and selfish. It’s going to take time for the public to trust her or anything she says. The fact is Mr. Pattinson rescued her and the franchise by seeming to forgive her. Yes, are are some of Pattinson’s fans who are angry at her because she seems to have hurt him, but it’s a small percentage.

I think Rob will succeed in playing eccentric characters, spoiled rich kids and attractive freaks. He’ll have his fanbase (not as huge as Twilight fanbase, but who needs it that big and that insane?) and a bunch of directors who’ll cast him in their movies on a regular basis. He’s gonna be fine and much more happy when the hoopla around him dies down.
As for Kristen – she’s not hopeless, but her personality is really a big problem, and she is being overshadowed by more likable and more talented actresses who will have best parts in best movies leaving KStew behind.
@dunkin “Robert;s career is going nowhere” – that’s an opinion, I don’t have to be a great fan of Rob’s to admit that out of he, Taylor and Kristen, he is the most talented and his career IS going somewhere, he has five movies in pre-production right now. Kristen is “rumoured” to be in two movies with no confirmed release date. Taylor is in Grown Ups 2 next year and then a random movie some time after.
I mean Rob’s career is not bad, but it’s moving at a glacial pace. Yeah, he’ll probably never be unemployed and he’ll find interesting parts and work with good people but if you look at all the men of his generation (around his A league) he’s really not doing anything super impressive or leaving a mark in Hollywood outside of Twilight franchise which either you love it or you hate it. Look at Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, Jesse Eisenberg, Joseph Gordon Levitt, even Shia L. These guys work in amazig movies with high profile people and to great box office numbers and critical acclaim. They’ve all been in top movies during awards season and have gotten their own Oscar buzz. These guys are bringing it. Rob is nowhere near that level. He only has Twilight, which he detests and now it’s over. The rest of his movies are box office duds and get mixed to bad reviews. No, Cosmopolis was as forgettable as it comes so don’t even say it was amazing.
Would I say he’s going nowhere? No. Would I say he’s going somewhere? No.
As far as Kristen goes? We might think people are over her scandal, but not having anything lined up for 2013 is not what anybody, especially her, pictured. And it’s not good. As far as I know, only her fans are buying that Balenciaga fragrance, as if she had designed it herself. And what did this endorsement prove? and she had no passion for it. It was all for the game and money. She’s full of crap.
Rob is doing fine anne honey, he is creating his own path, learning his craft by working with award winning gritty Directors (Cronenberg, Herzog, Michod,

Cosmopolis was great : top 10 list in major publications in French and England and in Canada, the list is still building up. The stupid distributor Eone didn;t submiited Cosmopolis to any of the awards which even baffled critics who loved it or else it would have nab some awards. Eddy R is in Les Mis which is being torn apart. Shia ? what has he done lately??
Rob’s got most of his next projects thanks to his part in Cosmopolis. And Cosmo made the lists of the best movies in France, UK and Canada and you can’t brush it aside. You may not like it but the movie is not as forgettable and unimportant as you claim.

During that time, she even decided against a movie role she signed on for previously.Her first public appearance was at TIFF for the OTR premiere. She was very nervous and subdued but was very gracious and appreciative towards her enormous and loyal fanbase who showed up to lend support to her. I think she handled herself very well considering the OTT hatred she was receiving from extreme Rob fans and the media.
She was smug as hell at TIFF, grinning and showing her gums all over the place as ordered by her PR team because they are desperate and she’s a total fake ass.

I do find it annoying when magazines recycle old quotes and try to make it sound like they did a new interview. Typically, they didn’t interview the person at all, but just string together bits of other peoples interviews. Tricksy.

Y’all, I watched the last Breaking Dawn on Tuesday. I’ve read all the books and seen all the movies, but I am not a fan. Kristen Stewart annoys the crap out of me. She ruined Snow White. The first Twi movie was AWFUL and the second not much better. BD1 was all right for what it is. I had really low expectations for BD2. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Kristen as a vampire>Kristen as human Bella. All the twitching, eye rolling, mouth breathing–all gone. If it wasn’t for her behavior in interviews, I’d think her mannerisms in the first three movies was acting. Or… she’s acting poised in this movie, something she doesn’t do in real life or most movies I’ve seen her in.
This might be the first time I can say I think the movie was better than the book (except for The Notebook). The movie added a scene not in the book, and it really made a difference. Everyone was acting better than in the previous movies. Kristen and Rob looked natural together too. I was touched by how they wrapped it all up.
BD2 isn’t better than a lot of other movies. But it’s the best of the series. 🙂 And i didn’t hate it. Am I the only one?
I don’t think you’re alone. A lot of people like the first one despite its flaws, maybe more for nostalgia sake? Or they like the feel/mood of it, even though a lot of the script/dialogue was bad. I agree that BD2 was better than the book (although that’s not saying a ton, book was crack fic) and I thought they did as much as they could do with the source material. It was entertaining, and they wrapped it up well for the fans.
I have to agree, it was the definitely the most entertaining one, Kristen’s acting was better, Bella’s part in the movie was more interesting, it wasn’t just about Bella and Edward like BD1 had been, the new characters they introduced were fab,it was better than the anticlimactic breaking dawn book, it was actually a good ending to the saga.
I would say millions and millions of people loved BD2 for it has grossed over $705 million worldwide. People who diss the Twilight Saga have no idea how many people love it. The box office receipts prove that. Twilight will be remember for a very long time.
I sure hope the Prince C quote is way old, bec she sure needed the services of one, didn’t she? And never noticed any signs of her turning him away at any BD 2 red carpets. Moss is less clingy than she was.

She hasn’t discussed fairytales since her second album and dismantled the whole myth, particularly in “White Horse”. She has said that album explored the disconnect “between fairy tales and the reality of love”: “We’re raised as little girls to think that we’re a princess and that Prince Charming is going to sweep us off our feet”.
