I didn’t do the follow-up on the Frank Ocean-Chris Brown fight because I didn’t really know where to begin, and because I was kind of disappointed with the outcome. Frank Ocean has decided not to press charges against Chris, even though most sources claim that Chris came after Frank and that Chris was the first one to throw a punch (how shocking). Frank has told TMZ (and other outlets) that the altercation began when Chris tried to shake Frank’s hand and Frank refused, telling Chris that he was in his parking space. Chris then punched Frank in the face, and Chris’s entourage jumped in, also attacking Frank. Someone yelled “f—got” and at some point Chris threatened to shoot Frank. Because of course. But Frank has declined to press changes, so does it even matter? According to TMZ, it might. They have a lengthy story about how Chris didn’t really do all of his community service hours and he’s likely violated his parole since his sentencing (for attacking Rihanna), so he might go to jail…? This is really detailed, so I’m just including the whole thing:
The L.A. County District Attorney has filed legal documents claiming Chris Brown has violated his probation by submitting bogus community service records … claiming in one case he swore he was picking up trash in Virginia when he was actually on a PRIVATE JET TO CANCUN …TMZ has learned.
We’ve learned the D.A. is alleging in legal docs Chris Brown may have LIED when he claimed he had performed all of his community service in connection with the Rihanna beating case.
Bryan T. Norwood, the Chief of Police in Richmond, VA., wrote a letter to the judge on September 14, claiming Brown successfully completed 202 days of community service — he was only required to perform 180. Norwood attached documents showing that Brown frequently worked at Tappahannock Children’s Center — a place where Brown’s mom was once a director — and did odd jobs such as painting, washing windows, waxing floors, cutting grass and picking up trash.
According to legal docs obtained by TMZ … the Richmond P.D. admits they only supervised Brown on 9 or 10 occasions and on all other dates he was not supervised by anyone. And get this … the detective who had been assigned to oversee Brown’s community service was told she did not have to continue monitoring at the Children’s Center. The times, location and types of duty were provided by Chris Brown’s mother.
The D.A. claims Chris and the Chief of Police had a prior relationship. And there’s more. According to the docs, Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, “instructed” the lawyer for the Richmond P.D. on how to “handle” D.A. investigators’ questions about Chris’ community service. And Geragos told the probation officer there was a court order that Chris’ community service be removed from the probation department and given to the police chief. Fact is … there was no such court order.
Pretty ironic — during a progress hearing back in November, Geragos brazenly said the prosecutor had a “doubting attitude” for questioning a probation report which said Brown had met all his terms and conditions. And there’s more … the Administrator of the Children’s Center allegedly tried coaching the floor waxing guy on what to say to D.A. investigators, but he refused to lie and in fact had already told investigators he was the only one who waxed the floors for the past 3 years. Chris claimed in docs he waxed the floors on some occasions.
The judge was suspicious when the community service documents were filed, and sources tell us the D.A. began investigating and found no “credible, competent or verifiable evidence” that Brown did the 180 days community service. Sources tell TMZ … there’s no way Chris could have performed community service on some of the days, because he was out of the country doing concerts.
The D.A. calls Chris’ documentation “at best sloppy … and at worst fraudulent reporting.” The D.A. is asking the judge to reject Chris’ alleged Virginia community service hours and make him fulfill his obligation in L.A. County. By the way, the D.A. claims Chris’ mom was responsible for orchestrating work at the Children’s Center outside of normal operating hours and a key administrator told the D.A. she NEVER saw Chris perform any work at the center.
And the D.A. is also saying there are other possible probation violations, including:
— The Frank Ocean fight at the recording studio
— Brown testing positive for pot
— Failing to obtain a travel permit
— Allegedly grabbing and throwing a fan’s phone in Miami
— Throwing a chair through a window at “Good Morning America”
I live in Virginia and I was personally offended that Chris got to serve his community service in my state instead of in LA. I never understood that at all, because it seemed like a blatant attempt to confuse and obfuscate the situation regarding Chris’s actual community service – which was ordered by an LA court, correct? This is why the California Justice System’s motto is #YOLO. Because they can’t even keep track of the BS community service sentences they give out to young men who try to kill their girlfriends.
As for the possibility that Chris will actually be “punished” for these lies or whatever… doubtful. But sure, let’s hope for something.

He was easier to root for when he was cuter. Now that he looks like a meth skeleton I could care less. Buh bye, Brownie.
So Monie, if he gains a few pounds and looks “less meth,” in your opinion, then rooting for his A-hole abusive actions will be back on track? Just clarifying…hmm
Yep exactly what I’m saying. Rooting for someone to change their behavior and get that crap together is based on looks in my book. Uglies step to the side. :-/
Ha 🙂
He’ll go down before Lindsey Lohan, that’s for sure. Dumbass should learn to keep his hands to himself.
I wouldn’t bet on that! But he has a habit, that’s for sure. It’s unbelievable that he’s still able to tell himself that it’s always the fault of others, isn’t it?
I can’t believe I’m going to say this, and I’ll try to be careful, but if he goes down before Lindsay Lohan, the system is racist.
Yeah, he’s an ahole, and so is Lindsay. But she’s had so many more court dates, trials, probations, yada yada and has yet to have any consequence. She’s even been violent, although not nearly as bad as Brown.
Not making excuses and certainly not saying Brown deserves to get off for what he’s done, but something’s not right if he gets the book thrown at him before she does.
If it’s proven that he perjured himself he’ll be in bigger trouble than Lohan. As it should be.
I don’t think it’s racism in this case, as his crime is much more serious than Lohan’s.
But that’s not saying that I don’t think the US system is racist, because I do. It’s super duper racist. But Lindsay and Chris have the advantage of celebrity, which seems to be seriously helpful in California. If Chris was some unknown guy who attacked his girlfriend in Virginia, he would’ve had the book thrown at him. If Lohan was some arrogant crackie in Ohio, she would’ve been in jail by now too.
Damn celebrity justice.
banga: If he has perjured himself I agree. Only reason Lindsay hasn’t is she hasn’t testified yet!
Knob. End. That is all.
I’m not even a praying woman, but right now I’m on my knees, praying that this grinning little scarecrow is finally thrown behind bars.
Amen.
Chris Brown is a lying piece of crap? Shocking.
I can’t believe anyone gave aproval for his mother to look after his probation. Seems pretty clear she lied as much as he did. Here is a hint if you should be doing community service don’t tweet your on your way to Cabo. Chris is getting more and more out of hand and clearly has a bad temper the more he get’s away with the more chance he will KILL his next victim. Frank Ocean is an idiot for letting Chris once again get away with it.
Plus, his mother was always on Twitter arguing with people that didn’t like him if I recall correctly.
I think SHE should have to do some time too.
IDK what needs to be done, but if nothing happens to him yet again….
If she aided and abetted him regarding his probation, she should be charged with something. That’s just wrong, even if she is his mother.
Not only should he not have been allowed to do it on the other side of the country, but who in their right mind approved him to work where his mother did? Of course she is going to lie for him.
Wow. I hope he actually gets some type of punishment that actually puts him in his place
We can’t have someone charged with criminal assault short of murder and violating his slap on the wrist probation actually go to jail that. No that would be ludicrous. Unbelievable.
What an a-hole! I’d love to slap that smirk off his face!!
Chris Brown did an unforgivable thing. So he should not be forgiven for it. However, people who were not directly affected by the situation should move on and not pray for his persecution any time his name is mentioned.
There was a video of the incident and multiple stories regarding what actually happened. If Frank Ocean is not pressing charges then things may not be as cut and dry as they seem. What the media says is probably only a quarter of the truth (if that much).
Forget about Ocean incident he should have already had probation revoked.Chair thru glass, taking lady’s cell phone, fight w Drake…Hopefully when they prove he was in Cancun not in Virginia waxing floors he will go to Jail for a few days(It’s LA)
@ Eh …I know we as bloggers on this site don’t have anything personally invested in Chris and perhaps we should move on. But it’s hard to resist stating your opinion about a young man who had so much potential to be great but turned out to be a self absorbed, brutal piece of shit. Perhaps if he had showed one iota of remorse for what he did to Rihanna and seeked out counseling some might have been more inclined to forgive him. But the only thing he is doing is intensifying the hatred towards him through his violent actions and bad behavior. I hope he’s able to turn his life around but it’s going to be so hard to undo the damaged that he has caused in the past and continues to cause presently. But I will say this in his favor, Frank Ocean is no saint and people should really learn about this young man before they place the entire blame on Chris.
Side note.. L. Lohan needs to pay the piper as well. Some say she isn’t as bad as Chris becasue she hasn’t hurt anyone. But she did attack a lady in a nightclub, she also hit someone with a car she was driving. How many car accidents have she already been involved in. Is it going to take her accidentally killing or seriuosly injuring someone before they take the proper actions against her.
Whether Frank is innocent or not Chris is on probation. When you are on probation you need to act liked a saint, like Ghandhi, like Mother Theresa….until your ass is off papers
Agreed @v4Real – Except Lohan also kidnapped people on a high speed chase so that is very serious in my opinion, but since her court history is too complicated for my simple mind to understand I am not sure if she has ever been charged for anything serious like Brown was. I agree also, that Brown’s actions towards Rihana are forgivable IF he showed remorse and sought counseling and was/is sincere and he doesn’t seem to have done any of that. He has looked smug ever since and he even has her defending him for how much he has suffered. Makes me sick.
I said this back when the Ocean/Brown story broke and I’ll say it again to this “people should move on” crap.
If you don’t want your life to be defined by one violent incident, do not continue to having violent outbursts on a regular basis.
Plenty of other people have done worse, shown actual remorse, changed the script, and got their lives together and moved forward. And people forgave. Brown is a idiot who continues to be violent, lie, and violate his probation. He doesn’t want this to be all people talk about? That’s on him and his own behavior.
Agree – I think it’s the continuing violence and horrible attitude that keeps people harping on him. If he were truly sorry and made changes in his life, people would go easier on him.
It’s probably not worth the insanity to press charges like Frank Ocean said. The L.A. Times did a report on the incident and it’s very clear the police are on Ocean’s side. He could make a case for a hate crime too which could make things worse. But Ocean has to work in the same business and you can’t make enemies especially not being a straight male.
Sure.
I guess all those people who fight for others, perfect strangers, are let off the hook now. Since, according to you, we should only take up causes that affect us personally.
People talk about CB, and will continue to, because he is dangerous. What happened with Rihanna was just the beginning- he is violent and without remorse. The more who speak up about ANYONE like this, the better. People need to know that this behaviour is not cool, it’s not ok.
The most obvious lie is the floor waxing. I laughed out loud when I saw the custodian ratted him out. I remember getting a lecture from an elementary school janitor about “proper training” and how expensive those commercial floor waxing contraptions are when I got to close to one as a kid. They’re territorial. I don’t think anybody would let this turd anywhere near their precious floor waxer thing.
What an unredeemable ass! If anyone actually believed he was remorseful this is clear evidence to the contrary. I’m so pleased I’ve never spent a penny on this waste of space. Oh and as for Rihanna? If she’s back with him she’s an idiot. End of story.
Let’s just hope it doesn’t breed.
Once more, another celebrity makes a mockery of the California judicial system. This arrogant, egomanial as*hole gets away with faking his community service.
I love the way Michael K. always calls him The Difficult Brown. It’s so perfect!
Not surprised, California ‘justice’ system is a joke. Nicole Richie didn’t even have to do hers on account of getting knocked up. I suppose this applies to everybody?
I hate this guy. He belongs in jail. Unlikely to happen though.
He is so arrogant and unapologetic. If someone mentions the domestic battery, he starts whining about it.
The path he’s on is destruction and he will end up in jail eventually. For this or something else.
He’s not gonna get any time because the judicial system in cali is a f’in joke when you are a celeb.
His probation doesn’t require drug test, ehhh? He must be on that bad sh*t! His face is haggerd from drugs.
What an awful human being.
What about the officer who lied for him, the lawyer who covered the lies and lied more or his Mom who lied for him? They should be held accountable too! It is disgusting and as much as I hope he, and all his ‘people’ pay, they won’t. Anyone else, sure? Them? Theymlt walk away smirking! So disgusting! 🙁
I wish people would stop enabling these a**holes. Especially their MOTHERS (Dina…Mrs.Brown….)
This guy is dangerous and it is just a matter of time until he kills someone somewhere. And sadly he will more than likely get off and his fans will continue to make him money. Want hood rats like this to go away, stop buying anything he is involved with because money makes the world go round and buys forgiveness for the worst of crimes. Why we have ever celebrated thugs like this is beyond me.
I can absolutely see Brown threatening to shoot someone. And sooner or later I can see him pulling the trigger. Lets just hope he’s pointing the gun at himself when that happens.
Really? You are hoping a twenty three year old kills himself?I hope he gets help for his pyschological issues. When a mentally unstable family member of yours hangs himself like my uncle did.. Nevermind be careful when hoping someone kills themself. It may happens in your family.
No, I don’t hope a 23 year old kills himself. What I said is, if he feels the need to pull the trigger on someone, I hope that someone is himself. You need to work on your comprehension skills.
Kim-Since when is being a misogynistic abuser a “psychological” problem? The only psychological aspect of an abuse situation is the PTSD that the VICTIM often lives with for years after the abuse.
Chris Brown has had ample opportunity to make amends and turn his life around but his penchant for violent behavior takes precedence over any desire to “get help” as you put it.
@kim, Projection happens A LOT here! I’m sorry for the loss of your uncle. Without knowing a thing about him, I already know he was a better man than Chris Brown and more deserving of being mourned and defended.
OKitten, as always, you cut right through to the heart of the matter and shred misconceptions like they were toilet paper… thank you 😉
Perhaps the “pschological problems” Kim’s referring to are better known as coke, meth and booze? It’s no secret he’s a druggy boozing badass.
ITA this is a guy who’s basically flipped the bird at every opportunity he’s been given to get his shit-disturbing life together. I do not wish death on him but I can see him killing someone or himself before he’s through. A nice, long stint in jail would do him good.
A nice long stint in jail….as someone’s bitch. And before Kim accuses me of wishing rape on him, I do not. I only wish he could experience what he put his victims through.
Actually, when I read the comment from Skuddles, I immediately thought of Blohan – many, including me, are hoping that when she does finally have that fatal car crash (it’s pretty much inevitable), she only kills herself, not an innocent third party. Likewise, if Chris Brown does decide to shoot a gun, here’s hoping he’s the only one injured, and not an innocent party.
It just seems like innocent bystanders always get screwed by the bad behavior of others.
@OKitten So you don’t think a man who watched his mother being abused and later becomes an abuser has psychological issues? Do you believe a woman who experienced the same as a child and later goes on to get involved with abusive men has pyschological issues? If Brown is worthless so is Penn,Gibson,Brolin,Sheen and every other person who has committed violent acts .
Right on, Kim! I’m so sick of the Chris Brown death wishes & such…the man obviously has psychological problems stemming from his childhood where he saw his mom being physically abused by his dad. I highly doubt Brown woke up one day & thought to himself…”hey why I don’t I abuse my girlfriend and see what happens?” And the double standard is annoying as well….Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Josh Brolin, are all well known abusers yet don’t get half as much hate for their crimes…why is only Chris constantly singled out for his a**holish behavior? Why can’t he also be given the benefit of the doubt for having psychological issues? Simply “throwing him in jail to teach ‘it’ (yes someone actually referred to this man as an ‘it’ which is mean and disgusting) a lesson will not solve the problem. Yes he needs to man up and pay for his actions but endlessly bashing him while there are many other celebrities who’ve done similar crimes is totally unfair.
I don’t know much about him, but most ‘celebs’ don’t do their community service. The majority of them feel entitled to preferential treatment due to their social stature… which includes everything from free meals, booze and swag to sidestepping the legal and law enforcement procedures that the rest of us must adhere to. I know, I know, it’s no big surprise… but isn’t it just a little bit sickening??
I kinda hope he stays out of prison. Go with me here…
If he stays out, he WILL eventually pick a fight…with the wrong person. Let’s call this wrong person Mr. Wonderful. And Mr. Wonderful will give Fist Brown everything that is coming to him. Everything.
Given Brown’s rap sheet, no jury is going to throw the book at Mr. Wonderful.
Problem solved. Win-win.
the race is on! Who shall complete my top 3 most hated? last time it was KK, HoLo and Casey Anthony…but now, I have a headache…
ohhhh! that’z cause chrissy just smacked me on my head!!!
congrats chris b!
I can’t even stand looking at his face. I hope he has to finish his community service in a domestic violence shelter. That’s the nicest thing I can say.
