I just spent way too long staring at Halle Berry’s chest in these photos. These pics are from April 8 – Halle was in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the South American premiere of The Call. The dress is Roberto Cavalli… is it lined? Or are we seeing Halle Nip? I really can’t tell if it’s a trick of the lighting or what.
Anyway, as everybody knows now, Halle is pregnant. I wouldn’t have been able to determine that from these photos at all – she has a tiny little bump, barely noticeable. In her first interview since her pregnancy announcement, Halle said that her second pregnancy was “the biggest surprise of my life… Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.” I nit-picked that statement a few days ago, trying to figure out if Halle was actually surprised by the pregnancy or surprised that she got pregnant with fertility treatments. In this week’s Us Weekly, “sources” claim that Halle was “definitely trying” for a baby but at first she didn’t realize she was pregnant, she thought she was going through menopause.
Us Weekly also claims that Halle has made Olivier sign a “baby prenup” which basically says that Olivier will always provide financial support for the baby even if they break up. I was already doubting that, mostly because I don’t think Halle is self-aware enough to admit that she and Olivier will ever split. But Halle has already gone to TMZ to deny that the “baby prenup” exists. So… yeah, I was right. She’s not that self-aware. It’s also strange to me because I was under the impression that Halle is wealthy one in that relationship, and while Olivier probably has saved his money, Halle is flat-out rich. Interestingly enough, Halle spoke about money and her career with E! News in a new interview:
Here’s one thing we can expect from expectant mom Halle Berry once she’s done expecting: She won’t go MIA. The actress famously went on a four-year hiatus after the birth of her daughter Nahla in 2008, choosing to withdraw from the Hollywood spotlight in order to savor the joys of being a first-time parent.
Flash-forward five years later, and the 46-year-old actress once again has on the baby way, as she an fiancé Olivier Martinez await the arrival of their first child together, a son. But this time around, don’t expect the Oscar winner to pull a disappearing act once the baby is born.
Berry exclusively tells E! News that she vows to continue taking on movie roles postbaby.
“Well, one thing is for sure: I better keep working!” she quipped during a stopover in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to promote her new movie The Call. “With another baby on the way, Mama cannot take time off!”
In other words, Mama’s gotta pay the bills! Kidding aside, the star explains that she’s approaching Baby No. 2 with a workaholic vigor.
“I think that when I had my first child, my daughter, I took off a good four years because it was something new to me,” she says. “It was my first time, it was something I tried really hard to do…This time, when I have the baby, I’ll keep walking!”
As for the kinds of projects she plans to accept?
“I don’t think being a mother now should affect my choices as an artist,” she tells us. “There are a certain things I do that my kids should not see.”
That said, Berry looks forward to continue pursuing a range of rich and meaningful roles, spinning performances that her children can appreciate in due time.
“I don’t think being a mom now makes me only wanna do Disney movies and not do great R-rated films,” she notes. “Those are things they are gonna see in a proper time in life”
Halle is also due to film a supporting role (or it could be a cameo) in X-Men: Days of Future Past at some point in the coming months, so I guess she’s letting Bryan Singer know that this baby won’t affect that. Considering she still looks like she’s in her early 30s, I’m assuming she’ll be able to work in her standard “beautiful woman” roles for several more years. And then maybe she’ll move on to meaty character work? Sure. Why not.

It seems like she has one boob that is perkier than the other. I realize that is common…but kind of distracting in these photos.
The asymmetrical neckline always seem to create wonk-boobs. Halle is no exception.
I was actually distracted by her gray eyebrows. Think her makeup artist forgot to fill them in? 0_o

Why not? Too physically demanding during the pregnancy? Just use a stunt double/body double. Other than that, I love everything X-Men!
She was easily the worst part of the x-men movies. Storm is badass and she made her lame.

That dress is too sheer for public consumption. And I’m over the fabulously rush Hollywood moms claiming they have to keep working for any reason other than their own vanity and desire to stay in the limelight. Actual working moms who HAVE to work are not amused.

Maybe she thinks she’ll be paying child support to Olivier soon! I also hate the celebs who tout that they are going to keep on working to because they need to keep making money – really?
either she’s wearing pasties or one of those invisible bras (backless/strapless stick-on things) but that dress is definitely not lined.
let me get this straight: she’s three months pregnant, so she conceived in early January. by all accounts she was at least actively trying to get pregnant, if not also using fertility treatments. in early January she claimed she would retire for her daughter b/c of the paps/judge refusing to allow her to move to Paris. This just confirms that she never had any intentions of retiring for her daughter and was just spouting off to try and get some public sympathy after the court’s shut down her request AND her thug boyfriend beat the sh*t out of Nahla’s father for not giving her what she wants.

the more likely explanation since she is human like you and me may be when she found out she was pregnant, she could not just retire, she had two children to support (considering that she is shelling over the same amount of money Britney is giving Federline… ) so she decided instead of complain about the paps she should do something about it. remember the article about her speaking with garner about paps and celeb kids? maybe this had something to do with it?

Do you really think Halle can’t figure out how do deal with the paps? She could have moved a bit further away or even another state, but no, she wanted to move to France. That is a bit extreme, unless her motive was just to keep her daughter to herself, which is more likely. With all the crap she has accused Gabe of and taken him to court over and then unleashed her thug on him after losing her court battle. So now all of a sudden she gets it? I doubt it. Like I have said in other posts about her, it will take many years to be able to determine if she is sincere. I wouldn’t hold my breath on it and I hope that idiot Gabriel isn’t either. He seems to be kind of dumb.
But that explanation you just tried to retort with doesn’t explain anything. If she was already talking about retiring when she was pregnant, why is she backpedaling so hard now? I’m sure she has plenty of money to support two kids if she feels her line of work is not good for the kids to be around.

She does look great for her age, but am I the only one who thinks she looks COMPLETELY different than when she was young? I think she may have had some really great plastic surgery; all the housewives of whatever and many hollywood celebs should take note and maybe try to get her doctor’s number.

To be honest I don’t think she is a good enough actress to move on to character work. “Monster’s Ball” was a good movie, with everyone involved delivering a strong performance. She just lucked out once.
I dunno…. she was good in quite a few roles in the 90s – I remember really liking her as Dorothy Dandridge, and she just had such strong charisma in that role – it was hard to keep my eyes off of her. I think she’s just been choosing, or being offered, the wrong roles lately.

She looks amazing. Haters gonna hate. But she just keeps slaying. And of course she’s got to keep working. Poor Gabe’s gotta get his monthly 20,000 check he works so hard for.
But if her income was drastically reduced, the amount of support would also be reduced, so that doesn’t make for a very good reason. If she didn’t want to pay child support she should have found a sperm donor with a pretty face AND a real job.
Halle is so beautiful, but she really favors that one-shoulder dress style doesn’t she? That kind of dress often pushes one breast down when it’s banded on top, so it makes your boobs look weird.
She’s not likeable to me anymore. I wouldn’t ever go out of my way to watch something just because she was involved in it, like I do for several directors (Woody Allen, Christopher Nolan, Neill Blomkamp, etc) and actors (Ryan Gosling, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Cate Blanchett).
Why cant she not work? because she is an attention whore who cant stand to be out of the limelight.
