Can I share one of my latest peeves? I have a love/hate relationship with the Daily Mail – I get so many leads from The Mail, but their coverage can be… infuriating. The latest thing to irritate me about the Mail is when they inappropriately compare other royal figures to Duchess Kate. A few months ago, they made a ridiculous comparison when they claimed Queen Rania of Jordan was “pulling a Kate” – as if. As if Kate is even half the royal figure, the compassionate humanitarian and inspirational figure as Queen Rania. And now the Mail is doing it again with the headline “Keeping Up With Kate” for this Prince Harry story. For real? Harry is not “copying” Kate. For all of his faults, Harry has spent YEARS doing admirable charity work while Kate… has not.
Anyway, these are pics of Harry opening up the new headquarters for Headway, a charity devoted to supporting people with brain injuries. Princess Diana supported the charity years ago, and I would imagine that Headway has many new charges these days given the prevalence of traumatic brain injuries in soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Harry also visited the Russell Youth Club and the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies. You can read more here.
Harry did a costume change mid-way through his appearances. He wore a suit upon his arrival at Headway and then changed into a pair of jeans and a really great fleece. I think he looks sexier in the fleece, right? And Harry is always awesome when he gets to interact with children!!

Harry is just fantastic, hands down my favourite royal. I like Wills and Kate (don’t ask me why, I just do!) but accept they’re not the…most active of royals (to say the least). But Harry just seems so genuine and lovely and the way he interacts with kids gah I love him!
And lets not forget dogs, the way he is around dogs and puppies is soo cute
Holla!
I love that ginger hair, he is so much more manly than his brother.
Perfect example of Michelle Rodriquez’ comment on manly men vs metrosexuals. Harry vs. William, who would you do?
Neither. Harry is starting to look like a ginger prince charles. And William has that unappealing bald plate.
Yeah, it’s a tad bit insulting to imply that Harry is copying Duchess LazyPants. I think if anything it’d be the other way around. 😛
That said, I’m happy with this choice of charity. My mom had a brain injury about 18 months ago and went through a lot (surgery, rehab, etc). She’s fine now and I know it’s because of all of the great help and medical care that she received. So yay Harry!
I’m so happy that your mom is ok 🙂
Thank you! It’s amazing to look at her these days because you would never have guessed what happened. Just goes to show what good help can do. 🙂
I’m glad you’re mom is OK too. I know one person who definitely is not. It’s really awful what a brain injury can do.
But yay Harry!!!
He is not hot! Geez stop trying to make an average looking man hot just because he is a prince.
To me it’s the picture with the kids that translates to hot, look come and go – personality does not.
Hotness is not necessarily related to looks. I’ve never thought Harry is conventionally good looking, but his cheeky attitude, smile, and polo playing outfits make him hot. 🙂
Oh dear god, it looks like he too will be bald in a couple of years.
well unlike his brother he will always have his personality , charm, work ethics, good charitable work and great sense of humor so he will always be attractive to him despite his looks.
Yup. The top’s clearly thinning out. I hope there’ll be enough left for him to do a buzzed cut of some sort.
That could be from his helicopter helmet rubbing aganist his head. My friends hair thinned out after he joined the army thanks to his helmet. It thickened up when he was on leave but thinned out again when he got back to training.
yes, yes I would hit it.. oh, that wasn’t the question? sorry, but it’s what I think every time I see him…
and he does a lot of good charity work, there’s no reason to compare him to anyone else..
Marie, it must be a meme. Yes! Oh, yes. Harry is a star. But am worried, is that some male pattern baldness on the back of his handsome head?
I fear you might be right. meh, I’d still hit it.
read m’s post above. It could just be a really bad case of helmet hair!
Not too worry, I wouldn’t be looking at his head!
He’s got the touch when it comes to kids just like his mom. I remember being young and his mother picking up kids ravaged by AIDS in Africa like it was nothing and this is when AIDS was like “ZOMG YOU DEAD, SON” in the 80s. Inspired my grandma who was petrified of it even as a nurse to take a job in hospice. Warms my heart to see guys being nice to kids since it’s foreign to me–never had a dad short of being 3hrs old.
I’m sorry you never had a dad, MonicaQ. Mine died a year ago at age 83, and I can’t imagine my life without him.
I think for some, maybe all, when you don’t grow up with a father or father figure then that becomes your soft spot.
That’s why I always click the Beckham and Hemsworth posts. It’s totally my kryptonite.

this is how you should remember diana ,through her charity work unlike his brother who uses his mother’s death as an excuse for his and wife’s mistakes and to gain sympathy. harry is always great and he is just such a joy to watch. the only young royal whose public engagement i look forward to.
^ This.
Harry can be immature sometimes but at least he has never hid behind his mother’s skirts for his numerous Oops moment. William on the other hand will brandish the Diana card to rescue his reputation when deemed necessary.
Prince Hot Ginge wins again. Comparing him to DuchessLazyPants (love it!) is insulting and ridiculous.
Exactly, Angelic! Harry just does his thing, and his mom gets a mention when appropriate.
Fortunately you can’t see it in these photos because he has a totally bald spot going on the back of his head :(:(:(
I was hoping I was just seeing the sun reflecting on his hair… He is going bald! There are 3 things I find irresistible in men. A strong work ethic. Great with kids. A nice chest, back, and arms. Harry has it all and when he gets older he may lose the muscles, but he’ll never lose his mothers charisma and care.
Kudos Harry! This makes me smile. Brain injuries are so complex and because of this, so easy to overlook as a cause. My nephew suffered a catastrophic (medical word) brain injury when he was two, so our family knows first hand the difficult, slow road of recovery from these injuries.
Oh nos! Is it just me or does it look like his hair is thinning?!?! That will be so unfortunate. 🙁
I don’t care much for the Duke and Duchess of DoLittle, but I love Harry. He’s definitely had some questionable moments, but he comes across as quite genuine, owns up to his mistakes, and has a good work ethic. He’s been doing legitimate charity work for as long as I can remember.
This is great. Harry is doing really well with his choices of charities. As Kaiser said, this is the way to honor the memory of Diana by continuing to do her good works, not by using her death to shield you & your wife from criticisms.
Someone give that man a baby!!!!!
LOL! Do you mean in real life, or for him to clown around with?
LAK,
I am so looking forward to see baby Cambridge with his uncle. I will be very excited when he will become father, the role will come naturally to him. He is just adorable with children and yes I agree please someone give him a child.
And a puppy!

my 11-year old daughter has just said “the puppies are cuter than Harry” LOL…I don’t know about that…
You know when he eventually has kids, he will have a sympathy pregnancy and the wife/nannies will have to wrestle babies away from him!!!
Time for grandma to officially bestow the title of His Royal Hotness on him?
He’s always had that title. Pippa is a pretender to its throne!
Charisma is his superpower! People love this guy more than his lazy, boring big brother.
Just imagine Harry as the first born… nobody would remember Billys name!
Substantive comment: it must make him feel wonderful to take over one of his mum’s charities. Of the two sons, I think Harry-by far-was damaged the most by her death. That’s why I have always cut him some slack.
Also, a great cause-head injuries can have some very bizarre effects-I mean, we are talking about THE BRAIN-so it is especially difficult for this group of individuals to deal with the disabilities that result from their injuries.
I had surgery for a benign brain tumor last year-pretty damn scary because it was near my brain stem and wrapped around 2 cranial nerves, Because of the location, my right peripheral vision and the hearing in my right ear is impaired, as well as my balance. But I am so very grateful-on the spectrum of tumors and after effects of brain surgery (which can be extremely traumatic to the brain) , I am in very good shape.
GREAT to know you are doing fine:) Your experience sound so scary, I hope you love a happy and healthy life. Any sort of brain injury can be brutal but you sound so brave and a real survivor. Keep up the winning and positive attitude and thank u for sharing your experience!
