I think Clooney and… maybe longoria?
that would be EPIC, didn’t she just start dating another dude though?
Well Marie The Blind does allude to her shoving a new relationship all up our faces
But the blind also claims that she would be an inappropriate red carpet companion. Eva is fairly respectable especially compared with the American wrestler/hooker he was just with. And they have some stuff in common like their politics, which would make George look less like a sexist prick who thinks pieces are only good for sex.
Totally what I thought too. She’s practically shoving her new relationship down everyone’s throat. It’s still kinda hot though, those two together.
Yeah, it’s got to be Longoria; I just googled her and Berlin, where Clooney’s been working and she’s been there quite a bit this winter/spring. I don’t think this is any upgrade from Stacy Keibler though!
Agree. Its got to be Clooney & Longoria.
I don’t know if it’s the fact that it is so unexpected that makes it kinda hot, but yeah I find it steamy.
And I do think she is an upgrade, at least intellectually. I’m no big fan of Longoria but she just graduated with a Masters from Cal State and is active civically/politically. She’s at least got some brains and personality behind the face.
Thank god you guys discuss the blind, I’m guessing like crazy!
What about Zoe Saldana? She has a new boyfriend and was papped in Italy…
Does anyone know if Longoria was in Berlin recently?
WORD.
I cannot stand Longoria. So, yeah, she is his type…
+1,000,000
She is so awful.
Agreed.
She is an attention-whore second only to the Kardashians.
I remember when she was nobody and was dating JC Chasez at the top of NSYNC success… She was the “Remora” of the late 90’s early 2000’s.
@Miss M, what does it mean that she was the Remora? Kudos for making me do a search. Does it have to do with the fish?
@kiddo: remora – nickname we gave to Chris Hemsworth’ wife.
She did shove her new romance down everyone’s throats despite it being an EPICALLY stupid carrer move. Who wants to watch a guy go on a bunch of dates with pretty women when they know he winds up with the host of the show?
OOOOH, Longoria is a good guess. Mine was Scarlett Johannson. And yeah, the dude is definitely Clooney.
Guess this “confirms” that he’s not gay! I can’t believe it, always thought he’s locked up in the closet!
Definitely Clooney, Lainey hinted at it yesterday in the Clooney breakup post.
I think Clooney and the girl from. Big Bang Theory. “Big” and “Super” are in the title.
Lainey also said that Side Piece is enjoying her fling, whereas KC’s show-mance with Cavill is already publicly done.
I hope it´s not Monika Jakisic, although she has “proper” characteristics to be a Clooney girlfriend 🙂
All I think of Longoria is her sexy cat commercial, it weirds me out. Like really? Using a sexy woman shimmying and dancing and on all fours to sell…cat food???!!!
Should have gone into marketing. Seems like the easiest job in the world.
Seriously! The first time I saw it I didn’t even realize it was her I was just like what is this lady doing?!
Bijlee OMMMGGG I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME!!! I kept wonderimg Wtf lady, are you poor?!
That Lainy blind is puzzling; It’s got to be Clooney, but I can’t figure out who the jump off is- what came to mind is Kelly Cuoco, and Lainy has her pic right next to Stacy Keibler on her site, but it doesn’t really fit all the other info. Just saw what QQ says, and that’s a really good guess!
As i read the blind, i remembered that Eva Longoria did everything that is written in that blind, plus she’s on holiday with the new ‘temp per blind’ BF, and she’s been papped in really random places worldwide this past year.
I’m STILL underwhelmed by the casting choice for Johanna.. Hopefully I will be pleasantly suprised…
Me too and Finnick for that matter, that Jesse guy from Grey’s Anatomy woulda been excellent
Jesse L. Williams should’ve been Finnick!
that was who I pictured when I read the story, that dude is HOT!
Ugh, I just don’t see Claflin as Finnick! I also don’t like Johanna Mason. The rest is okay.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I STILL can’t believe they didn’t cast an Annie for this film. That was one of the things I was looking forward to the most.
More likely for Mockingjay. If they even bring that into the storyline. It’s possible they don’t.
Yeah, but it seems weird that what happens in this arena with the fake sounds they wouldn’t connect a face to his worry and panic.
They may end up doing that by backstory, Mags explains it or something.
Because I think it’s necessary for his character development to have the audience know about the relationship with Annie, that he’s not the person he presents to the Capitol. But I’m not the producers or screenwriters.
What?! I didn’t know that! But she is much needed in Mockingjay?! When Katniss talks to Finnick in District 13 – that’s one of the most emotional scenes! Disappointing!!
Margaret Cho is “outing” John Travolta again by saying she isn’t outing John Travolta, lol. She said outing Travolta would be like outing Liberace.

oh ffsk’s sake. maybe rolling stone should have blacked out a front tooth or four; or given him some zits; or stuck a booger hanging from his nose.
then, the kiddies wouldn’t have found him soooo swoony and been askeered that rs cover was really just a clever and awesome terrorist recruiting tool.
msnbc actually covered this. unbelievable stupidity.
Ok. It’s not that people will think he’s hot – it’s that they’re giving this “alleged” killer (I’ll say alleged even though it makes me grit my teeth) complete rockstar treatment. I know this is a selfie, and not a phoot shoot, but he’s styled like Jim Morrison.
The article itself sounds like good – or decent enough – journalism, but they had no need to put him on the cover. There are plenty of other articles that could have been featured instead. I really respect how news outlets have downplayed and nearly eliminated the fame of the Colorado movie theater shooter (by focusing on the injured, and not the man behind the gun), and RS has done a 180 in this situation.
Again – allegedly – this person killed a little boy, and others, with his actions. Nevermind all the people who are struggling to overcome their new amputations and to get through the day. I live in a suburb of Boston – so maybe this is hitting too close to home – but it was a craptastic thing of RS to do.
For people in the Boston area, this isn’t some theoretical situation. Many people know someone who was injured, or a was first responder, or was there when it happened. Personally I have a coworker who was three blocks away with her son and I have a cousin who was a first responder. He was running the race and crossing the finish, and as an Afghanistan vet, ran to assist the wounded.
I don’t care that he’s “handsome.” Or that they didn’t ugly him up. This person has NO place being on the cover of a national magazine, styled like a rockstar.
I was coming to the links to tell C/B thanks for not covering this story, then I just saw this comment and realized it was mentioned in the links.
I agree with you (I’m a Bostonian) but I wish people would stop giving this magazine cover any attention. CVS and Tedeschi will not be selling this issue of Rolling Stone. It’s not so much the fact that they put him on the cover (I’m a staunch supporter of free speech) it’s the reason WHY they did it-to sell copies and generate interest via controversy.
It makes me sick and angry.
They definitely did it for the controversy it would create and all that, but I don’t care because I’m not so sure he is guilty. Yeah, I did say that. I just don’t believe he is guilty, something just doesn’t feel right about all of it and things just don’t add up.
Out of respect for the victims I don’t talk about it openly.
I am kind of torn about the RS cover. I know that the event, this man, hurt so very many people.
But I also know that Rollingstone does “serious” articles all the time and politicians have been on the cover. They do articles about the financial crisis and the corruption behind that. Their article about General McChrystal caused a resignation. It isn’t as if simply being on their cover = being a rockstar.
In addition, that photo was used on the cover of the New York Times back in May.
Here is the biggest sticking point for me:
I think the cover illustrates one of the most important things about the whole Boston event: He doesn’t look like our stereotype of a terr0rist. He wasn’t a loner, he had friends, he appeared to assimilate to our culture.
I am torn by what we might learn from images like this, and those whose pain is increased by images like this.
@Tiffany
I don’t think they gave him the “rock star treatment” necessarily. I think he is a nice looking guy and that’s the rub, with all of the other reasons that you mentioned. He looks like an average American. If it had been Osama bin Laden on the cover, no one would have claimed the same. If it wasn’t the largest most indepth article, then they shouldn’t have put him on the cover. But if he is the main story in that issue, I’m like you, torn. And I agree that Rolling Stone has done some truly great ballsy muckraking work; Matt Taibbi comes to mind.
Did you complain when Osama Bin Laden was on the cover of Time magazine? Or was that okay because he wasn’t handsome.
When I think of Rolling Stone, I think of music. I know that they’ve branched out with celebrity covers over the last decade or so, but I absolutely do NOT think of them as “hard hitting news.” So no, I don’t consider them the same as Time Magazine for who they choose to put on their cover; therefore, their choosing to put an alleged mass murderer on the cover, rather than any musician or celebrity, bothers me greatly.
Megs he isn’t styled like anyone. He had curly hair and wore a t shirt. he didn’t “style” himself like Jim Morrison to make a rolling stone cover.
I think the cover is revolting, both because it makes a terrorist and murderer look like a rock star, and because I think RS knew it would outrage and hurt people, creating buzz that would sell more copies. Not saying there should be a law against it or anything – just that I find it cynical, exploitive and sickening.
I agree – I was disgusted when I saw the cover. Now being on the cover of RS is far less prestigious. It’s a major insult to Boston and the victims. RS should be ashamed.
P.S. Why no coverage of Cory Monteith’s cause of death? To me, it’s pretty big news, even if we knew it was OD, it’s still worth discussing…
They didn’t MAKE him look like a rock star. The punk ar$e idiot DOES look like a rock star. He’s very attractive. And you know what? Very attractive people can also do bad things. Check out a pic if Stalin when he was a young man. Heck, I would’ve bought him a drink. The cover offends you because he is not offensive. I like that he’s not offensive.
If Boston was terrorism, Columbine was terrorism and Newton was terrorism. It does not only become terrorism when a non white, non judeo Christian does it. Seriously people. Stopping a whole town for a shot up 19 year old. Well, at least it stopped him from bleeding to death.
Any mess,
He is charged with a crime so innocent until proven guilty, yes? Also, it’s very likely that he had been brain washed by his brother. The fact that nobody noticed his brothers radicalism is troubling and no one noticed he was reeling in another sibling is more troubling.
My parents are immigrants, heck I am. America has not been super kind to me but it gave me a home when mine hunted my kind. I’ll always be greatful. It would be my worst nightmare if my child did something like this. I cannot imagine.
They didn’t make him look like a rock star. It’s an unedited selfie, with Rolling Stone above his head. If the word Newsweek was there instead I doubt you’d make the rock star comparison.
If they played some jay z in set while giving him wardrobe changes while hot broads tousled his hair between shots and brought him lunch, I’d think that was rock star treatment. Not doing a story in a well known kid going bad. I agree many think just a story in him is offensive and too much attention, but your comparison isn’t accurate, I don’t think.
When I say they make him look like a rock star, I mean that RS covers usually feature rock stars, so having him on the cover glamorizes who he is. I’m aware that they didn’t style him. I never said they did. And of course I wouldn’t make the rock star comparison if he was on the cover of Newsweek, if Newsweek was still in print. That’s the point. Newsweek would have had him on the cover because they were about hard news. RS has him on the cover to exploit this horrible tragedy and get people talking about their magazine. He has nothing to do with music.
Clooney and Longoria fits…but she’s not his usually MO so I doubt it will go public.
Those Chris Pine set photos are my new happy place, LOL! Absolutely ridiculous and weird, I cannot wait to see that movie. Also, wow at his arms! 😉
I love the buzzfeed link. It is head-smackingly accurate.
I know I am still alone out here but I just get more convinced Claflin is going to nail it as Finnick. I will admit it if I am wrong, but for now, I put all my cash ($38.74 last time I counted) on him. And if he does, he might give CHemboy a run for his money in my stable.
For now, I will indulge in my Donald Sutherland crush on which I also stand alone.
I hope he does just because I find him so sweet and adorable. Plus his man-crush on CHarms makes him a winner in my book!
RE Catching Fire-
Everyone looks like I pictured them in the book with the exception of Finnick.
That Finnick makes me want to hurl. NO WAY is he Finnick. End of.
Agreed! Armie Hammer IS Finnick!!
Finnick is awful. I had always pictured a younger, bronzer Josh Duhamel type. This guy just doesn’t capture Finnick at all.
I also picture Mags as being older and a lot more frail. This old broad looks like she could still kick your ass.
I think people are being a wee bit harsh about Finnick. I mean, they talked about his hair color but a big part of reading a book is using your own imagination about most of the visuals. Millions of people are going to imagine millions of different faces on Finnick.
I think the true test will be does he emotionally fulfill the character of Finnick.
The character has a certain physicality that I don’t think this actor possesses. His beauty is a big part of how he ends up where he ends up. Not seeing it with this actor at all.
I’m going to have to re-read Catching Fire because some of the character names I can’t remember nor what they did (ex Annie?). However, Lynn Cohen is exactly spot on for me as Mags seeing how as I was reading it the first time, she is who I pictured.
First movie sucked, will not be watching the second one.
Me too! If anything I’ll dollar theatre the second one. The first one bored me to tears.
The hunger games movies are the worst case of whitewashing so I don’t really care anymore about the casting. Katniss isn’t white, she’s olive skinned. Finnick isn’t some norway dude, he’s tanned, not to say bronze. The rest is meh, I’ll keep to the books, they are amaze balls.
Well it’s Hollywood. They whitewash everything.
olive skinned means white , dude. its just a bronzier version of a white color, a la Sicilian or Italian. it definitely doesn’t mean black, tan, brown, etc. And if the author okayed the katniss casting and personally chose Lawrence, get over it. She fulfilled the emotional intensity and sadness of the character really well and thats all that matters.
olive skinned is not white, mate. It’s more of a light brown.
I’m pleased….I wish I could go to Comic con. Anyway, really looking forward to the film!.
If Justice Joslin can run in Asics, they are surely good enough for Julianne Hough.
I think the cornucopia in the first movie was “miscast”. It’s hard for me to be any more underwhelmed after that.
i run in asics!! they rock! great shoes.
I think Rihanna’s wearing a ‘slutz’ t-shirt is probably her way of reclaiming the slut label, like Madonna or Kathleen Hanna and Riot Grrls.
I still don’t think reclaiming that word is a good idea though- for a couple of reasons.
Look at those white people. I like J-Law but I’m sick of this whitewashing.
Longoria does not fit the Clooney profile – C/D-list, long legs
@Laura: +1,000,000. I love the new posters, gorgeous artwork and yeah, it makes me all the more excited for the film!.
Great issues altogether, you just received a brand new reader. What may you suggest about your post that you simply made some days ago? Any certain?
