Tracy Anderson has a long history as a huge C-U-Next-Tuesday. I don’t even feel bad about calling her that or thinking that about her either. I go back and forth between thinking that Tracy is simply a horrible person, a fraud, a grifter, and a really terrible trainer to thinking that most of the stuff that she says is just incredibly hyperbolic and maybe we’re reading it the wrong way? Maybe I’m giving her too much benefit of the doubt. Because Tracy is seriously an awful trainer. The fact that women pay Tracy to insult them, mock them, shade them, and pity their “disaster bodies” is something I’ll never understand. Anyway, Tracy has a new interview in Into The Gloss – you can read the full piece here. Guess what? Tracy insults and criticizes her main client and business partner, Gwyneth Paltrow. Some highlights:
Dancer’s standards: “I grew up as a dancer in Indiana. My mother was a ballerina and she worked three jobs to put me through dance school. I left Indiana to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City on a dance scholarship; I went to school with Jason Mraz and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Originally, I wanted to be a dancer and go to Julliard, but I’m only five feet tall and I was not built like I am now. By dancers’ standards I was fat; by normal standards I was a little chubby—I gained 35 pounds when I turned 19, even though I was dancing all day. I learned very early that you can move all day and still not have the body that you want.”
Trying to lose weight when she was younger: “I’ll never forget the time where I thought, ‘OK, well, I’m going to start smoking.’ I bought a pack of Marlboro Ultra Lights and smoked one for maybe two blocks like a complete nerd. I coughed so much before I was like, ‘No, you know what? I’m not going to smoke. That’s just not who I am, and that doesn’t feel good to me.’ That was the one and only time I ever smoked.”
Her definition of a normal relationship with food: “Mind you, I was eating maybe one bowl of Special K in the morning, mustard and tomato on a bagel for lunch, and maybe chicken and broccoli for dinner, and one brownie. I wasn’t eating a bunch of food… My mustard and tomato bagel was the one thing I had every day. All these years that I’ve owned my body being tiny and how I wanted to be, I still can’t look at a mustard and tomato bagel. I think if I eat that bagel, I’m gonna gain 30 pounds. I will eat a pizza, cupcakes, and cakes—I’ll eat four cupcakes—but I cannot look at that combination of tomato and mustard on a bagel.”
Her goal for The Tracy Anderson Method: “I started by analyzing how people at the top of their field all look the same—jockeys, swimmers, Baryshnikov, whoever. If you can make your body freakishly large, why can’t you make your body freakishly proportional? No one was was focusing on that.”
Meeting Gwyneth: “I’ve worked with celebrities, and with Madonna for a long time. I met Gwyneth Paltrow through a friend of hers who was really changing with the method. Gwyneth was like, ‘What are you doing? Are you having surgery?’ And she was like, ‘No, it’s this girl.’ I agreed to meet with Gwyneth, and she said, ‘I’ve got this movie coming up where I have to be a superhero.’ It was the very first Iron Man. She said, ‘I know you have a son—I just had Moses—and I can’t get this weight off. I’ve never had a problem like this in my life.’ She had 35 extra pounds on her. Her butt was long and she had outer thigh problems. Gwyneth is lucky because she’s really tall, so she can hide it really well in clothes, but she had significant problem areas. I felt so badly for her, and thought I could really help. So, I agreed, and she did everything that I asked. Now, seven years later, she looks younger every year; she’s totally transformed. And she really does the work. She and I became business partners, too, because she said, ‘Every woman has to have this. It’s not fair. I’ve tried everything and nothing works like this. You’re a real gift.’ It wasn’t a business decision for her at all.”
Ugh. “Her butt was long and she had outer thigh problems… she had significant problem areas. I felt so badly for her, and thought I could really help.” Seriously, do you have to talk about your CLIENT and BUSINESS PARTNER this way? I’ve said this before, and I will say it again: if I ever had to train with Tracy, I would end up in tears and/or screaming at her. She’s incredibly rude and nasty to her clients, to the people who are paying her to help them. I guess it’s her way of drumming up business for herself – keep telling women how disgusting and awful they look so that you can “fix” them.
But you know why Tracy and Gwyneth are absolutely perfect for each other? Because both women only care about the superficiality of exercise. Neither woman cares about health and wellness. Neither woman cares about the mental, emotional and spiritual release of a really great workout. Neither woman cares about blood pressure, vitamins, heart health or physical rehabilitation. Gwyneth and Tracy only care about how the body looks, not how the body feels or whether the body is actually healthy.

She looks like a gremlin gone wrong.
Somebody feed her a mustard and tomato bagel after midnight!
Bright light bright light!!
ahahahahah 😀
Two great comments on a row, need to read no further.
LOL!
Her problem area is her face.
Liv, I just had a “shouldn’t laugh,” which means I laughed at something I shouldn’t have. Sometimes that’s the best kind. So funny.
I think TA has one problem area and it is her brain.
She’s had so much facial work done, and it’s all for naught. Also. I’d shoot myself if I’d done what she’s done to other people (and herself). What a self-serving cow. Can we all agree to ignore her?
Don’t say shit like that. I am at work and you’re going to get me busted for being on the internet. That was too funny.
So true!
thanks for the lol
We can do a kickstarter type fundraiser BMT For Tracy. All donations will go towards a lifetime supply for Tracy. From her clients.
She looks like a white Nicki minaj
Tracy actually has a pretty face, in my opinion. Never mind the fact that her size makes her look a garden gnome. What is weird to me is that sometimes her neck looks to be of normal length and other times, you can tell that it is short and stubby due to whatever condition she was born with. I’m thinking that maybe she should never wear necklaces which would only make her neck look shorter. I wonder if there are tricks to give the illusion of a longer neck. Hmmmm…i wonder if she’s jealous of giraffes. Sorry, stupid joke.
Can I just say this? What a bullying b*tch.
I’m not a violent person but if she ever tried that with me she would end up on her bagel mustard tomatoe eating ass.
+1
and if i were GOOP, I’d dump her ass big time over this.
Well GOOP is a masochist with massive body & food issues, so, sadly, she’d be the first to endorse TA’s statements.
Yep Anna! She’s not saying anything Goop hasn’t already co-signed.
Seriously. Who the HE!! does she think she is??
So celebs pay Tracy to ‘mean girl’ them?!? How nice of her.
And if she could find those flaws with Goop’s body imagine what she must say about Kim K! Geesh.
You know, I would mean girl them for half the price.
Haha
Seriously. I could walk down the street and find some random jackass to mean girl me for free, AND I’d be getting healthy exercise in the process!
Maybe she will unleash the mean girl adjectives when Kim Kardashian finally comes out of her body lift/liposuction overhaul.
i just don’t get it. really. 😐
I find it sad that someone like Tracy Anderson is even able to shill her sh*t message. What does it say about women’s self esteem in general that this horrid little bully can make a living shaming them?
So true!!! What a depressing story.
If you want a perfect body it’s hard work – you can’t lie to it about what you’ve eaten, half-ass your work-outs or pay someone else to do them for you.
Her approach seems horrible to the average woman – and it is – but if your appearance is worth millions of dollars to you then you may well need Tracy to kick your ass in her own special bullying way.
Plus her attempts at chipping away at self-esteem until you put the doughnut down are nothing compared to those of professional athletics/gymnastics/ballet coaches. If you want to be the best you’ll have to suffer for it!
Tapioca
True and yet it’s still horrible and wrong.
Yes, a fit body takes extremely hard work and some people respond better when they’re shamed into working harder and not taking short cuts. Tracy seems like a person who grew up under pressure to be thin and have an ideal body type that her frame could not support. Now she takes it out on others and amazingly gets paid for this.
This woman needs help.
But Tracy isn’t selling her product to athletes and ballet dancers, she’s selling it to regular people. Who do not need perfect bodies. Also, part of the whole point of a program lkke this should be to teach people to make healthy choices for themseelves so that they can make lasting positive changes. If they need to be bullied to put down the donut then they’re just going to pick it up again when you’re not around.
hag!
Goop has body issues since forever. Back in the 90’s she was anorexic, absolutely frighteningly frail like Nicole Richie on her worst days.
Without her breast implants, Tracy’s body would be quite disproportionate. Even with them, she has no defined waist.
My friend and I tried to work out to one of her DVDs years ago. I have never seen a trainer so completely bored. She couldn’t be bothered to smile even once during the hour. My friend and I finally collapsed from laughter and watched the remaining DVD just to make fun of her. Plus, working out with 3 lb weights was a joke. I want to build muscle, not wave my arms around in some feeble attempt to get a “long, lean dancer’s body”. I’ll stick with my kettlebells and TRX, thanks, Tracy.
Oh no, you can’t build muscle. Tracy would see that as bulk and everything needs to be nice and flat.
*sigh* Say what you will, but I have done it all. Taught aerobics, lifted weights, run marathons. And nothing gave me the total body workout that her mat video does. If you can make it through her arm workout with 3 lb weights without SERIOUSLY training for it, you are a better woman than I. The shizz is HARD.
Agreed. I did the level 3 metamorphosis video the other day and my legs were screaming by the end of it. So many leg lifts! But you really feel it the next day. Her cardio video is stupid– her prancing around looking cute for 30 minutes– but again, you really feel it the next day.
That wasn’t my experience. I found her routine to be fairly easy. But I do use a 14 kg or 16 kg kettlebell regularly and do bodyweight exercises in addition to TRX. I’m almost 50 and I’m more interested in strength training as a way to protect myself long-term. She’s more into appearances. Funny, though – all of my weight training does allow me to eat what I want and still stay lean. I read her book and she puts people on a starvation diet. I couldn’t make it half a day on the amount of food she allows in one day. I would be so weak.
Nonsense. No man will ever love you if you have a toned, strong physique.
Isn’t Tracy’s method basically prancercizing for starlets?
Goop’s waist also seems to have gotten thicker after working out with Tracy. Goop may have had ” problem” thighs and a long rear end, but she always had a teensie waist until she met Tracy.
I think there was just an eclipse with that shad. Jesus. Why the hell would you say that to a magazine about your business partner? To show, “Oh look how awesome I made her! She was once the Kingpin had sex with Yokozuna but now she’s kissing RDJ in a sports bra! I’m amazing! Feed more money into my gullet because I live off of protein shakes, money, attention, and a healthy dose of narcissism”?
+1 million to the Yokozuna reference
But that’s a trainers job, to see the problem areas and figure out how to fix them. Sure, you can argue that everyone’s beautiful and so on, but if you’re paying a trainer and your stated goal is to get a better body, you don’t want a trainer who tells you you have an awesome body and you shouldn’t change a thing or a trainer who gives everyone the same workout when everyone has different areas that need work. I love my PT because she’s objective and brutally honest. People don’t always see their problem areas, particularly if they’ve been unfit for years and it’s just become their normal. If I just wanted to stay fit, I’d save my money and go for a run. I pay a trainer because I want to look good.
I’ll snark on Tracy for a lot of things, but not this. She talks about Gwyneth this way precisely because she’s a business partner. They both want to promote the transformation aspect and Gwyneth is a great advertisement for it. She has a ton of celebrity clients, and she never talks openly about them the way she talks about Gwyneth.
And Gwyneth does look great so it’s a testament to whatever she’s doing. I guess that people still seek out Tracy.
Gwyn has a great bod!
Goop is very tall and naturally lean and light. Even after pregnancy she could hide her fat well. It’s her build. I have never seen a fat Goop, she always maintained her body because she is just one of those people.
We know she isn’t building muscles so I think that with aging and pregnancies she has to work to keep as slim as possible but a curvacious woman will never have Goop’s build and it’s wrong that they’re trying to sell that ‘dancer’s body’ to everybody.
NM00095 – I took up dance training late in life. My various classes are full of women with all body types, different heights and weights. We are all pushed to have the dancer’s body, and we do.
I understand what Tracy means by statements like ‘problem outer thigh areas’ = saddle bags. I had these and I am tall and curvy. Plus I had a butt that was out of proportion to the rest of me. Following the specific dance training exercises everyday my butt is now in proportion to the rest of me, I have no saddle bags and I am toned, lean with long muscles. And I am still curvy, but it’s all tight and I seem to have grown an inch due to my improved posture and how I hold my body which has also flattened my stomach.
Ditto all my fellow class mates despite our various body types and sizes, and we are all doing this for fun though the changes in our bodies have turned out to be a bonus – sidenote, all the dance teachers would be horrified if anyone joined class with specific intention of changing their body GOOP style, but I digress…..
The point is, if you follow Dance training, which Tracy seems to have incorporated into her exercise videos, you too can get a dancer’s body.
I started dance training because I am a frustrated dancer who would have loved a dance career so the dancing outweighs the body changes which I see as secondary to my primary goal of becoming a trained dancer even if it’s just a hobby. Any discussions in class about weight are usually if someone appears to have lost a lot of weight over a short period. We are reprimanded for any weight loss because we need to be strong which weight loss below our optimum weight sabotages.
Where Tracy is wrong, is in trying to advance a body WEIGHT that isn’t healthy for every body type and which is a job requirement for professionals instead of advocating her clients train to their optimum weight and no more.
@Kate I totally agree. A trainer doesn’t have to be mean, but I am paying mine to be totally honest and improve the way I look. Even though I am normal weight, my body fat is a bit too high (shows in waist and tummy) so my trainer is working with exercise and nutrition to drop a few pounds. I was fit before getting a trainer but my body shape has changed dramatically for the better working with her.I wouldn’t want a trainer who didn’t see something she could improve.
Kate — you can tell someone about their problem areas and make suggestions to address with specific exercises without ripping them a new one in the process.
Try taking a look at the “Tracy Anderson Method”. Ask your trainer what she thinks of the Method.
It is an ineffective combo of weights that are too light to keep building muscle and plyometrics.
Retarded method isn’t gonna change a hill of beans
@OK – the phrase “retarded method” is offensive.
But I agree with @Kate. One shouldn’t pay a trainer to be nice and tell them everything looks great. That’s what boyfriends are for! I currently have a tennis instructor who is a former pro, and he is pretty tough on students, certainly not for everyone (yelling at me, hitting hard balls, saying good job, running me around the court). But I have thick skin and he has helped me improve my game tremendously, to the point that some people now stop and watch my lessons, asking me how long I have been paying (just this summer). Not every instructor is for everyone – my tennis partner met with me and my instructor a few weeks ago, and afterwards, she said NEVER again would she deal with him… Like I said, he’s tough, certainly not for everyone, but to me, well he has been worth every dollar…
The problem isn’t necessarily that she’s saying this to GOOP, it’s the larger message she’s presenting to a socoety that currently measures a mom’s worth by how fast she loses her baby weight. When you work with posnatal non-celebrity clients, you’re actually working with a pretty vulnerable population. The message that TA sends is not okay. Also, on no planet should a mew mom be eating 800 caloriea a day (which is part of her ‘method’)..
Good point – it’d be one thing to privately consult with a client and talk about areas to tone up, but to blab out it publicly is gross, and to reinforce the insane ideas about post-pregnancy figures is just wrong.
People I know who did the diet and workout, say that when you plug the calories in, they add up to ~1200 per day. So I’m not sure where people get the 800 from..?
UsedToBeLulu
I’ve only seen the 800 calorie this on this site. I think it was a thread about TA taking on KK as a client and that made GP mad. TA’s post baby weight loss plan was laid out as 2 workouts a day and only taking in 800 cals made up almost entirely of liquid and minimal fruit to reduce sugars.
On my mobile and this site is harder to search archives in mobile view, but it’s here somewhere.
Hi Florc. I just went to myfitnesspal where I have an account, and did another search. It seems that Tracy doesn’t count calories, so how an individual plugs the values in, I suppose you could come up with varying answers. But 1200 daily still seems to be what most who track the calories they are eating on her method, come up with. I read an interview she gave about her post pregnancy work out and she so emphasis the benefits of breast feeding (though does say it is a personal choice). And stresses how important it is to eat enough while one is doing so. I thought she sounded pretty sensible. I think it is fashionable to bash her, and I don’t agree with everything she says (no dairy for ex.) but most of the bashing does not seem to be based on anything concrete IMO.
I wish I could give you a proper citation, but of course I’m wiped out (ironically feom teaching 2 fitness classes this morning) but the 800 calories wasnt pulled out of thin air, though I’m pretty sure she changed it to increase the calories because she got a pretty fair amount of pressure for how unhealthy it is. She’s been trying to do an image overhaul ever since she partnered with GOOP.
I know I alrwady commented, but I’d like to add on. A trainer’s job is NOT to look at you and say ”ugh, obviously we’re going to be working on that ass of yours”. A trainer should sit down with you and talk to you about YOUR goals and expectations and work from there. It’s fine that you like working with this kind of trainer – everyone is motivated differently. But Tracy is promoting herself amd her method by sending the message that women’s bodies are inadequate without her help, and that after pregnancy we’re all just fatties. One of the most important things is to accept your body and what it IS and what it ISNT. That isn’t to say that we shouldn’t strive to have healthy, strong bodies, but that we should also understand that healthy and strong comes in different packages, and that ”thin” shouldn’t be the ultimate goal.
No, I disagree. Maybe this is what SOME trainers do, but I would never, EVER pay someone to do this. I am a trainer and I focus on health and positivity. This acceptance of negativity and self hate needs to stop! Trainers aren’t supposed to critique, they are supposed to help people become healthy – and self hate is NOT healthy! /rant
Bless her heart.
You know….this is a good comment. What else is there to say to someone that shallow?
+1
Problem areas? This woman is nuts. I recall seeing pictures of Gwyneth a mere few months postpartum and she was wearing skinny jeans and looked very slim.
I keep trying to post a before and after of Gwyneth, but it keeps getting dumped. She was significantly heavier after Moses was born.
Katie D
I doubt Tracy is thinking about it this way, but you can be skinny and unhealthy. It’s called “skinny-fat”. You’re thin and you look great, but you have such little muscle mass you probably couldn’t pull off 1 squat or curl a 10lbs weight. You’ve spent so much time focusing on staying thin with cardio or calorie restriction that your muscle mass was starved away.
I hate this woman.
Why would we want everyone’s body to look the same? How freaking boring! I don’t want everyone to look like Paltrow. What’s wrong with some softness on the body????
When I look at her she just seems so….hard. I’m very fit but I don’t want to lose certain areas on my body that are feminine and soft. My husband doesn’t want me to either. Ick.
…..wow. How could anyone hate themselves enough to take advice from an overgrown gecko wearing a blonde hair piece?
LOL, this might be the best description of her EVER.
Tracy Anderson’s problem area is her soul. As in, she doesn’t have one.
So she thinks she’s better than Goop because she “agreed to meet and train her” . Bitch please, that would be one of those moments that if I was a celebrity I will use the “don’t you know who I am” card and put that washed out lizard in her place
+++1
What if your “problem area” is that you have no neck and a face like a Muppet?
Hahahahahahaha. That killed me!
BWAHAHAHA! best one today!!
IK,R? She is always straining it so hard, trying to make it look longer in photos.
OMG, why do people think this nasty witch knows what she’s on about?
Funny enough, Tracy Anderson seems to be my problem area.
I don’t care how much I’ve had to drink, I would never listen to body advice from my yard gnome.
Oh, that’s Tracy? Sorry, my bad.
Hahahahaha!
+2 on the hahahahaha
Awesome! Perfect first laugh of the day.
There’s a certain kind of petite woman that always has to refer to herself as “tiny.” I find that so grating. Why not just say,”I’m so itsy bitsy and adorable,” because that’s what you really mean.
I don’t sound bitter, do I?
I’m totally having an “if you can’t say anything nice, come sit by me” moment because I know what you mean. I have nothing against petite women in general, but that mentality is really creepy and manipulative.
Thank you! It doesn’t bother me at all if a woman is petite, just if she always has to refer to herself in terms such as “tiny.” And the women who do it seem to try to throw it into every conversation. Grates on the nerves.
sounds like a cool job. let all your frustrations out, you can show your clients openly that you cant stand them, they pay you nicely and tell their friends to book you.
Am I the only one who finds Anderson’s body rather odd?
No.
You, and anyone with sight.
Eliza — I was thinking the same thing. She looks thick wasted and she went too big with her implants.
outer thighs and long sad butt were goop’s significant problems? i could have sworn it was her over-inflated ego and lack of mental prowess.
and when did a “dancer’s body” start to include double d fake boobs?
these 2 are a match made in heaven -dumb ugly over peroxided mean girl heaven.
Have to agree with you Poppy.
And for someone harping on “problem areas” Tracy might want to take a close looks at her kid section in some of those photos.
Looking a bit portly.
too bad she can’t do anything to help Gwyneth’s face. actually they look quite alike, i’m still deciding who has the bigger face.
It’s purely psychological. She’s playing right into women’s insecurities and promising she has a solution. Perfect is the goal here, obviously. If you’re looking for perfect, then she’s your girl. People just looking to drop some pounds need not apply. She’s going after the women that are close to bang on perfect, but are still trying to improve, the ones you see in the gym that look great, but are looking at the miniscule amount of flab left on their stomachs and growling through another set of crunches. The girls in Hollywood, housewives in New York and LA… She’s going after them.
I used to think clowns were the scariest images. The look on her face in the polka dot dress will haunt me.
Nothing is scarier than a clown apart from this woman’s face.
That face…LORD. Her ugliness spans both inside and out. Normally would never mention such a thing, but in this woman’s case, I make an exception. She is the equivalent of a snake oil salesman to the exercise industry, also. GROSS.
Seems like every few years, there is a celebrity trainer of the moment. Looks like it is now Droopy, supported by partner Goopy.
UUGGGHHHH. These two can have eachother. Oh and NEWS FLASH: You both look old and haggard if you ask me!
“It’s not something I could go to school for it, it was new” Is that really what she bases her “method” on?! personal research on her body ?!?! because she wanted to look a certain way she gets to tell women that they want to look that way as well?! WHY WHY WHY that’s why her title is fitness entrepreneur instead of fitness trainer. She does what she does because it doesn’t need technique, brains, or any effort on the clients part. she has zero credentials. and put a ymca into bankruptcy?? WHY would anyone do buisness with this lady?! and PLEASE stop telling women what they want to look like, it’s nauseating…so glad I read the actual article it made her sound like a complete fraud, idiot and extremely crazy telling women that we should all look the same
I can’t imagine being a person who looks at everyone and picks them all apart like that.
The last few sentences peg this woman exactly. They don’t care about health and wellness, they only care about how the body looks
More and more, she’s starting to look like Donatella Versace.
OMG you’re right! Never noticed that before…
Wait. When did tomato and mustard on a bagel become a thing??
This woman is awful. I will never understand why anyone gives her money.
“Why can’t we be freakishly proportional?”
Because that’s not a thing, you nitwit. You can only get so proportional. I know, it’s obvious you don’t know what the word means.
Also, mustard bagel? Tsk, tsk. There are a lot of fun ways to get fat, and that is not one.
Love!
Haha! My personal favorite is white chocolate martinis and cake. 😉
Tracy looks like Donatella Versace’s reject sister.
I found her rude too . But to be honest people who exercices with her seem to be quite happy about her training. For example Robin Tunney ( I’m a proud Mentalista ) raves about her program. But then Robin has always been very slim and fit. She had a very muscular body ( great abs and triceps ) way before she began the Tracy Anderson stuff.
Ugh, I hate that she’s from my home state of Indiana. She likes to bring that up in interviews all the time, too. FYI, we Hoosiers do not claim you. You look like a human Pez dispenser.
Fellow Hoosier here! And I was going to post the EXACT same thing. I hate that she’s from my home state that I love!
I’m a Hoosier as well and when I read that I was like “oh hell no”
No wonder she and her husband are divorcing. Could you even imagine living with that “me me me me me skinny skinny skinny” mentality? Must be exhausting. I hope he’s at an all you can eat buffet picking up average sized chicks.
You are so spot-on about their similar approaches to exercise. There has always been a gaping disparity between those who work out for vanity and those who do it to prolong and enrich their lives, and I never thought of it in those exact terms before. It’s very true. I’ve always been unsettled by the fact that I tend to judge certain people — the stereotypical “gym rat” or the girl who works out in a full face of makeup — when I should just be admiring them for bettering themselves and aspiring to do it my own way. But this is why they annoy me. They’re completely superficial, and when they go on and on and on about health and fitness, it just all seems so disingenuous.
People like Tracy and Gwyneth would probably be sitting on the couch all day if they could still look hot and young… which describes their client base to a T. Women who didn’t have to work very hard to meet Hollywood standards, until kids or age or both stepped in and required a little effort out of them.
I have to say, I tried Tracy’s “Mat Workout” DVD, and it was complete & utter bullshit.
A lot of smoke and mirrors with this one.
If anything is a problem area, it’s her 🙂
all the workouts in the world won’t fix what’s wrong with goop. as for tracy she needs to go back under the bridge from whence she came.
the funny thing is, I don’t think either of them has that great a body. they seem blocky and stringy, and there is no softness anywhere on either of them.
She looks like a man.
Imma need to see Tracy Anderson naked, because she looks short, squat and lumpy in everything she wears. If I had to go by HER body, I wouldn’t hire her.
I would take Gwyneth’s – which is the point.
Gwyneth’s osteoperosis-ridden, vitamin-deficient, anemic body? With the horrible skin and straw hair? Really? You want that?
Let’s just call the Tracy Anderson Method what it is: Anorexia. That woman is ridiculous.
I wonder what it feels like to be a living Troll Doll.
What is wrong w her face? And of the many types of smiles she obviously spent hours in front of the mirror practicing, that pursed lip, horrible smile is the 1 she feels looks best?? Tracy has no redeeming qualities whatsoever
I’ve honestly never understood why Gwyneth’s appearance is so extensively reported on, I see nothing remotely attractive about her. Not her face, hair, body, style or personality. I feel the same way about Tracy so it’s a match made in heaven
These celebs are kooks when it comes to their style and fitness mavens. Remember when Rachel Zoe had everyone ana thin in maxi dresses and bug eye sunglasses?
=I agreed to meet with Gwyneth, and she said, ‘I’ve got this movie coming up where I have to be a superhero.’ It was the very first Iron Man.=
Wow, how could I have been such a fool for 3 movies? I thought the superhero was IRONMAN, they really got me this time..
I know!
My reaction was “F*uck right off Goopy, your job was just to answer the phone” 😡
Ok guys, I am so not with you on this. I do and have done Tracy’s workout and they are literally amazing. I am petite and have always been pretty fit. I exercise and watch what I eat. But I could just not get rid of that 5-10 lbs. that I wanted to. It just sat all on my stomach. So, a couple years ago I abandoned whatever else I was doing and did her Metamorphosis for 30 days. It literally changed my body. I don’t know how, but it’s true. Now I just had a baby (okay, she is 10 1/2 months old!) and I still had that last 10 lbs on me. I am still breastfeeding, and I think it is more important to be healthy for my baby and feed her than to be obsessed with being perfect. So, I bought Tracy’s Post Pregnancy Workout. It is so much tougher because the mat work is 45 minutes instead of 30. But I tell you, I saw results in just a few days…flatter tummy…toning up everywhere. I have been doing it 4 days a week for a month and eating sensibly (still sweets, carbs, trying to eat more protein and veggies), very little cardio because I don’t have time with my baby and a full time job…and TODAY I am back in my first pair of pre-pregnancy pants. Granted, they are my “fat pants” but I am IN THEM and I feel so good! So, just wanted to put another perspective out there because I think G and Tracey really have something here and they really do want to help women and share it.
I am sure this might not be popular (I know this is celeb-BITCHY because we like to snark) but it is the God’s honest truth.
I can appreciate your honest testimonial of her product(s). I guess the problem I have with Anderson is what was at the end of the comments which I completely agree with: “Because both women only care about the superficiality of exercise. Neither woman cares about health and wellness”. I think one is on a dangerous slippery slope when this is at the core of you as a “fitness trainer”. Do her regimens get results? Seems like it. But overall, I think she’s a really f’up person and personally would not buy the junk she’s sellin’.
lmao, as a fellow short girl, I’m laughing my ass off at her in the first picture. The height difference.
Her body looks uncomfortable. Those over sized implants and the stretched skin on her face…
Being underweight is as unhealthy as being extremely, severely, hugely obese. As in, 500 pounds obese. That is what the known fraud Tracy Anderson is promoting.
I think that should be her full name whenever she’s referenced anywhere: Known Fraud Tracy Anderson.
“I agreed to meet with Gwyneth.” LOL Right there it says it all. She’s a trainer and she agrees to meet with a wealthy client. She acts like she did her a favor. Smug smug smug.
“She had significant problem areas. I felt badly for her.” Tall, thin, beautiful Gwyneth back then in her very early 30s, and you felt sorry for her. What an idiot.
This is overcompensation for some deep-seated self-loathing.
If I was Gwyneth I’d be pretty shocked & in a partnership-disbanding mood.
I feel bad about her grammmar. That’s ALL I’VE GOT because I’m as ‘gnome-sized’ as she is, but I’m not as thin as she is. There’s nothing in my arsenal.
Sorry if someone brought this up already, but OMG you can see pretty much all of her boobs in that yellow dress pic!!! hello nipples…
If a trainer ever said that to me, their problem area would be their face, after I’d put my fist through it.
My horribly chubby fist, on the end of my disgusting muscley arm, that is.
Why not just buy Brazilian Butt Lift DVD’s from Beach Body? They work just as well and without any shaming. Plus, I’d rather look at Aliandro than this little troll. She’s quite fugly.
Is it just me or does her body not look that great. Personally I can think of many people who are way more amazing looking then this cow bell.
And this is why I ONLY listen to Jillian
How can a butt be long? Were her cheeks hanging down to her knees and flapping around or something??
I think that means it wasnt perky like the bum of a 19 year old softball player.
Gwyneth has said all the same things about herself in previous interviews. Tracy is just repeating them.
Seeing Anderson on Fashion Police recently, I was surprised at how non in proportion she is. She has no neck and terrible posture. I forgot to focus on Joan & crew, she was that distracting.
A combination of Donatella Versace, Nicki Minaj and Janis from the Muppets.
Saw that episode as well – you hit it right on the nail! LOL
P.S. TA isn’t a bitch in her DVDs, FYI.
I have a friend who used to go to the TA NY gym. She did not train with TA herself but with one of the trainers there who isn’t verbally abusive or cruel. The difference in my friend’s body is why I bought the DVDs. Best money I ever spent and I can do it all at home.
Hmmm… She grew up with a ballerina mother, in a household that was likely obsessed with weight. And then she failed in her/her mother’s chosen profession, which she indicates was because of her weight/body type. Even if this wasn’t the reason — in her mind it is. Sounds like she never worked through any of these bad experiences with body image, and now she’s found success at a profession where she can pay that negativity forward.
Agree – reading about her childhood here and finding out she was not able meet unattainable expectations seems to be at the root of her distorted reality now. No doubt she a hardass worker and Type A personality but it’s fanatical as opposed to being rooted in health and wellness.
put down the peroxide
buy a deep conditioner
and go the hell away
Tracy looks like a crazed goat ready to charge. This interview explains why they both have disordered eating
This woman is an ankle. Whats an ankle? 3 feet lower than a c*nt.
LMFAO! LOVE IT! 😀
She reminds me of something out of frazzle rock or one of the muppets.
In the last picture, if she had black hair, she’d be Olive Oyl from Popeye.
Im sorry, does anyone buy she’s friends with Beyonce? I feel like beyonce has her cleanses and stuff, but she wouldn’t put up with this crap.
She doesn’t try to be model thin, she appreciates her curves and works hard. I’m sure she does crazy things but she would never hire this wench. If JAYZ and Chris martin weren’t friends they wouldn’t be friends.
I feel like Gwyneth makes friends with people she wants to be like. Madonna…Stella McCartney…but then she moves on (currently beyonce) and you can’t brush her off when you know, her godfather is steven speilberg…she is protected socially and knows it. She reminds me a bit like victoria beckham with her insecurities…but she has more talent…
nope, i don’t want to look like a corpse
