Yay, I’m glad we finally got some of these photos of Gwyneth Paltrow. For most of the week, Goop has been in LA filming a commercial for Hugo Boss, because she’s the face of Hugo Boss these days. Boss perfumes, I believe. So far the Boss ads have not been great, but they haven’t been the worst thing either. Mostly the Boss campaigns just seem rather unimaginative. In these photos, you can see Lady Goop attempt to strut down the street whilst deigning to speak directly into the camera. She’s not wearing a bra! You can see Goop Skin!! *clutches pearls*
Here’s what I wonder though – does Goop have it in her contract that her hair must be flat-ironed in all of her ad work? They managed to work her out of the dreaded center part, but that hair is still flat-ironed. Ugh. She’s so ‘90s. So, here’s the question: does Gwyneth’s weird chest make you want to run out and buy some Hugo Boss perfume?
In other Goop news, every site was running “Gwyneth joined Instagram” stories yesterday but I didn’t really understand why it was a big deal. She’s been on WhoSay for a while, and she’s been on Twitter for a while too, although she barely updates either. Before two days ago, she had last updated her Twitter and WhoSay pages in APRIL. She’s not the social media darling/trendsetter/icon that she thinks she is – she’s just a wealthy woman with too much time on her hands who gets bored with peasant amusements very quickly. And last but not least, this week’s Goop is all about making gluten-free food – you can read it here. She’s also added a $495 leather “rider” (messenger) bag which is actually kind of gorgeous. Is it just me or is $495 not that outrageous a price for a leather designer bag? That’s about on par with Kate Spade.

Wow, just realized haven’t heard a word in the press about her in a while – finally! Heard Chris, family, and PR, entire family, had an intervention just to shut her up…put her on a gag order, seriously. No clue other than the obvious (she is humiliating them all and a raving cruel idiot), possible announcement to be made, or she is just plotting her next pathetic attempt at superiority. One thing for sure, move to LA not going well at all. Great to focus on talented, classy, nice actresses in her peer group like Sandra Bullock etc. instead. Go Sandy and others…they are out there!
She’s so skinny.. I’m not body-shaming her, but I just can’t imagine being able to see the bones on my chest like that..
I would be shocked if I didn’t see bones considering she works out for 2 hours each day. Sidenote: I miss her long hair
I am sorry, but skinny chest does not mean someone has an unhealthy diet nor does it correlate with the idea of someone as “too skinny”. My goodness, I am so tired of the idea that bones is somehow representative of mistreatment of your body, I have a similar body shape (5’9) to Gwyneth – scrawny chest and a small waist though I carry weight on my butt and thighs. It appears to be that boobs = curvy. It is just so absurd that Kate Upton is somehow representative of “curvy” and Gwyneth Paltrow is always too skinny or scrawny. I know I’d prefer the waist of a woman that doesn’t have the Heart Foundation suggesting the fish oil program.
I’m sorry if I offended you, but I wasn’t implying that she’s not healthy. I know some people are just built that way. I was just expressing that I can never imagine myself being as skinny as her because I’ve always been a big girl.. (79 kg, 156 cm in height)

You just have to know your frame, height and put what’s good on you.

I am Afropean with congolese, angolan and portuguese blood in me and let me tell you what my fresh coming congolese sisters use to tell me when we were at college when i tried to hide my round bum : “Girl, don’t hide your curves. Petite or Tall, chubby or lean, curvy or lanky, there are no ugly women…just women that don’t know how to dress and enhance their type of silouhette”…
That’s what they use to say to me. Most were lean, some were overweight but boy, all of them were feminine and liked to dress fancy according their type, proud of their womanhood and feminity.
I think we all should have a positive outlook from our own frame and get the best of it, dressing and putting the right clothes, the right make up and the right hairstyle for our type.
We all are beautiful..we just don’t always know how to bring the best out of our own type of beauty!
Honey! I am lovin’ your love of your (and all) body types. I can identify; my parents and most of my family are West African (so hello my sista! lol) and they too celebrate their bodies…in fact, they’d rather you have meat on your bones than be skinny for the sake of being skinny (i.e. not eating just to be skinny, which is seen as very offensive and just utter foolishness…which I agree with haha), but they love talking about how beautiful slim girls are too. They just loved what they had and worked with it. Which is what these celebs need to do. Just wear what is meant for your body, don’t try to make your body fit into the clothes! Much love xoxo

I don’t hate the braless look on her; her chest is not huge so it doesn’t come off as tacky (IMHO). I’m not thrilled with how she’s styled overall – I would have just gone with the suit jacket and dumped the white shirt – but yeah, not a bad look.
As for the bag, that’s not a horrible price if you consider how much some designer purses can go for. I’m thinking of that Mary Kate Ashley Olson thing from a few years ago…wasn’t it over $10K?

I wouldn’t think that those boobs (or rather, that breastbone) will be selling much perfume. Goopy likes to brag about how much she works out in a manner that suggest that other women are lazy for not being as dedicated to exercise as her…so I don’t really feel bad for suggesting that she works out too much.
I’ve never seen it before, but Goopy actually looks quite a bit like Ann Coulter when her hair is down…I can’t decide which woman that compliments less.

I feel bad giggling because I’ve had zits like that before and they’re the WORST. They seem to take on a personality of their own, they’re so huge. No one can look you in the eyes, they just stare at your toddler-sized blemish. Plus, they take an eternity to go away.
I haven’t had one in years but I do empathize with her (between giggles, that is).
I’m kinda in the same state of almost-schadenfreude. I have acne, on and off again…and ugh, cysts are the worst. They hurt like hell–you can just feel their massive presence. And they take WEEKS to even begin to go away.
She used to have a bump on her forehead, like a colourless mole but she seemed to have had it removed a few years ago, it was suddenly gone. I thought maybe I’d imagined that when I saw these new photos, but it’s in the wrong place. I found a pic of what she had removed:

This is the best her hair has looked in a long time. She looks nice here in a boring and vanilla rich woman kind of way. There is nothing sexy about her which is why she can get away wearing something low cut without a bra. No one is going to turn their head and do a double take because there isn’t anything there to look at.
Her chest looks weird, like there’s something wrong with her skin or it’s too bony.

I really like that wide side hair part on her and I love that suit- masculine and sexy all at once.

She has the figure to carry this look. I don’t particularly care for it. But I do like her hair. At least it’s something different. It won’t make me buy the perfume however. As for the bag, that price is pretty much on par for a designer bag. I’m a bag girl! 🙂
