Elsa Pataky has been spotted!!! YAY. I’m telling you, I missed her during the Thor 2 promotional tour. She wasn’t seen at all. No red carpets, no clinging, no red carpet kissy-faces, no look-at-me theatrics. A red carpet without Elsa is like a red carpet without soul. Anyway, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa (and their daughter India) were spotted in the Canary Islands this weekend. According to Fame/Flynet, Chris and Elsa were seen at their hotel and then they went out to dinner with some “family members”.
Chris is in the Canary Islands to film In the Heart of the Sea, the apparently true story of the events that inspired Moby Dick. That’s the film that has Chris consuming only 500 to 600 calories a day to look like a starving sailor in the 19th century. He looks thinner, but it’s not a dramatic slimdown, at least not that I can tell. I agreed with many commenters – I don’t know why they didn’t just hire an already-slim actor to play this character.
As for Elsa… my theory about her absence being indicative of a pregnancy has kind of flown out the window. While she’s not wearing skin-tight clothes which definitively prove the absence or presence of a baby bump, she just doesn’t look pregnant to me in these photos. She looks the same. So why was she in hiding for the past few months? Is it possible that she’s made the decision to (GASP) tone it down? Please don’t, Elsa. I enjoy you! I want to see more of you! You bring me joy!

Uhm, I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t see, nor have I ever seen, CHemboy in an all black workout outfit and coordinated shoes with no socks. It simply doesn’t exist because if he were walking to dinner like that it is inappropriate and frat boyish and if he had just finished or was about to workout – he would have socks on.
And had I seen something like that, I am sure there would be a perfectly good reason for that… like he’s pregnant.

You see, this is where being a CurlyFu-lovah becomes an advantage. As a Cumberbitch, I am well-trained to embrace a man’s sartorial ineptitude and see past – nay, joyfully embrace – the tragedy of an inappropriate outfit. I would see this and weep with joy that it’s all the same shade of black.

Yes, but Anna darling, that is another problem – he walks out of the gym and into a dinner with his family? Someone is paying money to eat there – they don’t want a gym rat beside them, regardless of his bedroom eyes. Now I have forgiven the Greater Hemsworth for many, many things – I do not give passes on fashion. You can be dressed ridiculously but not inappropriately.
However, I did offer up last night that perhaps, since he is on his diet, he is not actually going to eat with them but remain outside the window and run in place as Remora indulges in her pregnancy cravings.
How do we even know this was his dinner outfit? Maybe he popped in to change on the way!

But we did prepare for this… and they do make beautiful babies. Plus, it means I won’t have to bear him any.

To be fair it’s simply some bad reporting. He’s actually leaving his hotel to get in the passenger’s side of a car. Seriously doubt he was going to dinner since his Dad and Remora weren’t with him. Or maybe that’s his parent’s hotel and he’s going back to his own?

Why do these celebs always have to have a nanny carrying their children when they’re right there? I don’t understand this, I would be so uncomfortable with someone else carrying around my daughter as I walked beside them. That’s all part of bonding with your child and spending time with them. Maybe she is preggo, maybe she miscarried (hopefully not) a pregnancy, who knows? I am only about 6 weeks pregnant and already my tummy is bloating out, I feel like I have to hide it until I am ready to tell everyone. Maybe that’s the case – she is showing early so keeping a low profile until she is ready to announce. Total speculation and projection here lol.

Idk…That big baggy (and super comfy looking!) sweater could easily cover up the sort of awkward, bloaty-looking early stages of pregnancy. (But honestly, would any of us seriously care if she were pregnant again?)
Besides which, Elsa carried super tiny when she was pregnant with India. And does anyone else remember the pictures of her 5 days post-partum rocking skin tight pants and an equally tight t-shirt with a COMPLETELY FLAT STOMACH?? It was insane! If I hadn’t seen the so-called “controversial” bikini/water slide pics of her when she was about 6 months along (the ones on vacay with Matt Damon & his wife), I would have majorly doubted that she was ever even actually pregnant 🙂

I filled out immediately with my son and couldn’t wear normal clothes even before I found out I was pregnant. Now with my daughter, I dropped a ton of weight and wore normal clothes until about 5 months (but waddled almost immediately). So what one pregnancy is like, it can’t always be a benchmark for others…
It’s actually pretty common for a second pregnancy to show earlier than a first one.
Yep. Not personal experience but three of my friends found that and were shocked at how early they showed on their second.
I think if this was someone else, I wouldn’t be so quick to speculate (and I hate all that bump watch crap that goes on) but given that she would NEVER miss major premieres such as Thor 2, all roads point to her being pregnant.

By the way, I don’t think her breasts look that big, really….it’s a combination of the large knitted sweater top she is wearing, plus the purse strap cutting in between. The sweater alone certainly adds a lot of heft. Also, she may have implants, like everyone else.

She seemed a bit plumper than usual at Rush premiere in London though, so that was in September… maybe she put on weight and she is ashamed? I wouldn’t be suprised she didn’t go to a premiere because she didn’t want to show herself that way (pregnant or not). She once said that before India she used to look at every eyelash she had… not even vain….
