Here are some assorted photos from last night’s British Fashion Awards, which I suppose is some kind of (budget?) London equivalent to the CFDAs in NYC. No… I said that the wrong way. The British Fashion Awards aren’t budget, they’re just not as big and epic as the CFDAs. They’re just smaller and more Brit-centric, but the event is still pretty glamorous and they get a good turnout of mostly homegrown fashion and modeling talent. Anyway, I was all geared up to make Sienna Miller the lead girl of this post, but let’s talk about Rosie Huntington-Whiteley instead. Rosie wore this crazy Antonio Berardi suit, which I totally thought was a minidress and thigh high boots in the thumbnails. This is just a really strange design, right? On another woman, this would be an utter disaster, but Rosie comes close (but no cigar) to pulling it off.
Kate Moss always looks like she pre-partied. I didn’t know she was tight with Rita Ora either.
Suki Waterhouse in Burberry. I really like the dress but I dislike the styling. It’s TOO undone. If she wanted to do a bare face, she should have had sleeker hair. If she wanted a messy, undone hairstyle, she should have done a bolder lip or eye. As it is, it’s just too bland and blah.
Kelly Brook looks pretty. God, I hope she’s not banging Jeremy Piven.
Donatella Versace & Rupert Everett: Death-Eaters.
Sienna Miller in Burberry. This is probably the least flattering and most poorly tailored gown that I’ve ever seen come out of Burberry. It’s a great emerald color, but the design is just OFF. Also, Tom Sturridge… I wonder. Do you think they’re still loved up or are they struggling?
I saw Harry Styles talking on E! News and I got all crushy on him. If I was 14 years old, I would be ALL OVER THAT.
Alexa Chung in Stella McCartney. Terrible dress on an overrated girl.

For a ‘fashion event’ it’s all shockingly bad.
RHW looks good – from the waist up. Those slacks are deplorable – they give the illusion of bike shorts (to me).
Sienna Miller looks like she grabbed the wrong size dress. Not sexy at all, just painful-looking.
Kate Moss looks lit and is too old to wear a leather school-girl dress.
Oh God. Awful fashion.
I agree with all your fashion comments.
This is another event where the stylists fell asleep and/or they’ve all been drugged or hypnotised to think this is stylish.
Yuck!
And WHAT is John Sturridge wearing on his head? Is that a thing now? I don’t think I can face the future if men go back to Little House hats. I need a French 76. Looks like Katie already had one.
I agree too! It’s all so hideous, especially Sienna Miller’s wreck of a dress. It looks like something that my cat shredded and then slept on. And RHW’s suit is…interesting. I think that’s the nicest thing I can say about it, sigh.
That dress looked amazing on Kiera Knightley in ATONEMENT though in that situation it was a ‘costume’ made up by the film’s costumers. Burberry’s take here is pretty shoddy.

I think the dress would have been just amazing if it had fit properly, because I’m pretty sure that’s not what the fine people of Burberry envisioned either.
that’s also the most occasion appropriate I’ve ever seen Alexa Chung.
Rupert Everett’s face makes me sad. He was so beautiful when he was younger, and though, yes, he looked more than a bit ravaged by time (and drugs) later on, he still had an amazing face. Now he’s just made himself look like any boring old guy, he’s basically stripped his face of everything that made him special.
I agree – I didn’t recognize him until your comment and I went back and looked – yikes! He was so gorgeous and would have aged well naturally.
Just say no to lots and lots of plastic surgery.
Sienna looks awful
I like Alexa’s overall look the best, but most of these are pretty bad, it’s tough to really pick a fave. Rita Ora looks like crap as per usual. No surprises there.
I agree – I always think Alexa looks so beautiful and she doesn’t try too hard. Impeccable taste
I love RHW’s red jacket! It’s a shame that such a beautiful thing was ruined by an awful pair of trousers.
Does Rita Ora wear a peroxide wig? Why? Its frightful.
They all look hideous.
While i think Rita Ora is a pretty girl, I believe that shade of blonde is disastrous on her and cheapens her so much..
Alexa Chung is the luckiest girl alive, she really is overrated and i can never wrap my mind up around her fame and recognition in the fashion industry.
what the heck is going on in the third photo? Her legs scare me.
not to mention that chick with GOD AWFUL hairline. she looks like a literal clown. her dark eyebrows and her skintone, that white hair just don’t match. omg.
Hahahahaha, the Death Eaters! They do look scary! Kate Moss is about to get her Dark mark too, apparently.
Death eaters was the high light comment for me. I mean you couldn’t describe them any more perfect!!! Kate moss looks like she is loaded and that combined with the leather is not a good look, it makes her look cheap and old
Kate? Russell Crowe called. He wants his Gladiator costume back.
Wow, that is the worst I’ve seen Sienna look in a while. The only good thing about that dress is the color. I don’t get Tom’s appeal, but hopefully they’re still doing good.
I don’t really like anyone’s fashion here. Alexa Chung isn’t bad, but I have no idea who she is or why I should care what she wears.
Donatella’s face just put me off my ham sandwich
Rita & Kate WOULD be friends..two coke whores
Whenever I see Harry Styles all I think of is a young Julia Child. Maybe it’s the hair.
Sienna’s dress looks like it was wadded up in a ball on the limo floor.
Sienna, bad. BAD. That dress fits you like a lot of them fit me because I have no boobs. BUT you can afford a tailor. BAD. Why does Kate Moss have little lumps and chunks in her legs? WTH happened? Is “coke legs” a thing? Eek!
Who is Alexa Chung? I don’t understand. I devote an unhealthy amount of brain real estate to celebrity gossip and I don’t know this girl. Now I feel so inadequately celeducated.
After seeing Kate’s “legs” on the Playboy cover yesterday and her real legs in that skirt she probably should have worn a longer dress just so the contrast wouldn’t be so obvious.
Despite/because of the fact that this is a major fashion event, I can honestly say not one of these women really looks good. Sienna’s dress looks like something from a charity shop.
As for Rosie, she’s an incredibly boring model. All she can do is that pouty ‘sexy face’ and she seems to take herself terribly seriously. Lighten up love – you’re only an underwear model! You’re allowed to smile every now and then.
Is that seriously Kate?! She looks horrible, I barely recognized her!
I am not in love with any of these dresses but hers, Sienna’s and Rosie’s outfit are pretty bad.
Harry Styles looks like a CGI wolf in a horror film.
I used to feel sorry for Donatella – before I realized she was not born with a deformed face but did that to herself on purpose!
RHW seems so… vapid. Anything going on in that pretty little head? And the trousers are HIDEOUS.
I love Rosie. Her undergarment designs are some of my favourites right now. I think for a HF event (which are always a little wacky) she looks great.
Harry and Kelly look the best.
I love Rosie H-W’s outfit. I think the suit is so clever, and that red is just gorgeous! God, if I was that tall and had her legs, I would wear it in a heartbeat. I’m sure Forever 21 is rushing to create it’s own knock-off, ahem, “inspired by” suit. 😉
You guys…what is an Alexa Chung?
I have been wondering this for so long, because other than CB, I have never seen or heard of her.
Could Tom look more excited to be there? I don’t know if they’re struggling, but it looks like he’d rather be getting a root canal.
Harry? really? He is my best “gay friend” in that photo.
I think she looks great. When Megan Fox tried to pull off that hairstyle, she looked like a greasy mess.
Sienna Miller is beautiful but her inner hippy hasn’t allowed her to acknowledge that post baby , especially if breast feeding,Bras are imperative. It’s cruel but a rule that applies for most mothers who give birth after
28.
