GAH. It’s been so long since we’ve had some new photos of Tom Hardy. It’s been so long since he’s walked a red carpet, I think. No… wait, he did some red carpets a few months ago, Venice and London, I think. But back then, he had a World War II haircut and it was not the hotness. Nowadays… lord, he looks good. These are photos from last night’s Moet British Independent Film Awards, which is historically an event for hot dude photos. In years past, we’ve gotten Michael Fassbender and Tom Hiddleton. This year we got Tom Hardy and a furry James McAvoy. And you know what? I can’t decide!!
Tom walked the carpet with his on-again (or never “off”) fiancée Charlotte Riley. Here’s the thing about my affection for Tom: I think he’s incredibly talented and I love to watch him in films, but I really only want to bang him when he’s scruffy. I hate it when he’s clean-shaven. I hate it when he has a haircut. It looks unnatural on him. If you feel differently, go ahead and yell at me!
As for McAvoy… he looks odd, right? I’m assuming the haircut and the goatee is for a role (I hope), but he looks so different to me. Maybe I’ve just never seen him with a goatee? Usually if he does facial hair, it’s a scruffy ginger beard or a full-on ginger beard. In these photos, he reminds me of a young professor who may or may not be secretly banging his students. He also looks exhausted. So… in this battle royale, I’m choosing Hardy. No disrespect to McAvoy.

I don’t..know? Tom looks a little rough here so before I saw James’ photo, I was like, “it’s gonna be James by default then” but he doesn’t look like his usually hot self here. The squinting plus the contrast between the colour of his hair and his beard is not a good look. So yeah, neither (can’t believe I’m saying this).

Tommy FTW! He looks really sexy. This is what I usually think MCAvoy looks like-which is not good. I was surprised at the string of sexy McAvoy posts that were occurring around here for a while, because I’m usually not attracted to him.

And let me tell you the depth of my love for Tom–I watched ‘Warriors’….God. That other guy–Joel somebody–thinks he’s soo sexy. NO. But Tom, oh my God. I may need to start watching boxing and wrestling (especially w/Hayden Pantierre’s fiancé), because I enjoyed Warriors far too much. Except his stupid tattoos–but I’m sure someone on here will volunteer to lick them off.
So Tom for me! Always and forever–I really need to work on my foreverdong list, because there are too many men to choose from.

I feel the same way about Hugh Jackman, and, to a slightly lesser extent, Eric Banna. Though Eric’s pretty hot all the time.
By contrast, neither Hardy nor McEvoy do anything for me.
Normally I’d say James McAvoy (who looked SO good just one month ago on Chatty Man) but that goatee is awful and he looks like shit. Why the terrible facial hair, James? For a long time, he had that awful beard and now it’s the goatee (I know it’s for roles but it’s just painful to watch). I just don’t get the appeal of Tom Hardy. He does absolutely nothing for me.

Tom is only ‘sorta cute’ for me. There are several other HOT British boys I’d prefer over him but he’s not ugly either. He might be one if those guys way sexier in person. So I’ll reserve judgement for now. 🙂

Of course James McAvoy! Maybe he had jet lag or something–but I think he looks great. And he beat out Tom Hardy for BEST ACTOR–that’s exciting right there. He’s an actor, so you can be sure the beard is for a role; in this case, for Frankenstein filming in January (no, it’s not “dyed”, he has a red beard–as do Tom Hardy and Christian Bale).

Tom by a country mile. At least he’s able to transform himself into someone manly. Haven’t seen that from McAvoy yet. I generally find him pale, greasy and unappealing.
