I like Demi Lovato and think she’s a very talented singer, but she has terrible taste in three things: clothing, hair color, and men. The first two can be easily remedied, but the third could very well be her downfall. Demi’s worked to overcome drug use and suicidal tendencies, but a bad man can ruin all of that progress in a heartbeat.
Wilmer Valderrama has a reputation as that type of dude. He’s so sleazy and is known to “take advantage of vulnerable women.” Wilmer and Demi have been enjoying an off-and-on relationship for about two years. I guess Demi either doesn’t have any friends who will give it to her straight about exactly who she is dating, or she’s not listening. Now the pair might be engaged. What a bad, terrible, no-good idea. Wilmer cruised over to Tiffany’s for a diamond ring. Radar Online says the pricey ring definitely “looked like an engagement ring.” You know what that means, right? Wilmer has saved his Handy Manny dollars. And Demi? You in danger, girl:

Could Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama already be engaged? If not, they definitely will be soon! The 33-year-old actor purchased a stunning ring from a Tiffany’s in Pasadena, Calif and acted “really excited and happy,” one of their employees told HollywoodLife.com exclusively!
After a report that Wilmer had been ring shopping for Demi, HollywoodLife.com dug a little deeper and spoke with an employee at Tiffany, who confirmed it all!
“Yes, Wilmer did buy a ring here,” an employee told us exclusively. “We all talked about it afterwards because he was so darn nice!”
While she couldn’t confirm that it was an engagement ring, the Tiffany employee did tell us it was extremely stunning.
“He chose a really classic, beautiful ring,” she said. “Demi is going to be a happy girl when she gets it. He didn’t say what it was for but he was really excited and happy — he seemed like any other guy getting ready to pop the question.”
While Wilmer bought the ring back in November, there’s no word yet if he’s given it to her or not — we know she can keep things quiet!
“They have been together for quite awhile,” a source close to the ex-X Factor judge told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Demi is very good at keeping secrets. They are in love and nothing is going to change that.”

The ring supposedly had “with you and by you always” engraved in it. Does that sound engagement-y? Hollywood Life also says that Demi and Wilmer have already talked about marriage and that Demi would definitely say “Yes!” if Wilmer proposed. You know she’ll say yes. Poor Demi.

Okay, so he does look creepy. But how does that make him creepy in real? I mean, it could all just be a rumour, no?
Could be, but when the skeevy rumors follow every relationship, it’s pretty suspicious.
He’s the guy who went on Howard Stern and listed all the (barely legal) Hollywood starlets he’d slept with, because he’s such a classy dude.

Well, admittedly Lindsay would be a horrible influence on anyone… But I’m not convinced he’s particularly sleazy compared with other actors despite the ungentlemanly kiss and tell behavior under the gaze of Howard Stern, who is infamous for bringing out the worst in people. I don’t get the immediate yuck reaction to him that I get from some others, at least. Maybe I’m unduly influenced by his adorable Handy Manny character, though.

There are horrible blind items about him and I hope it isn’t true. He has this creepy vibe and you could do so much better Demi.

I, for one, like her rocker style. It doesn’t go with her music, but in these pictures, she is dressed nicely. I wish she wouldn’t cake on so much makeup.
The make up thing is probably a short stem from the fact she has a history with a negative outlook on her own image. If simply putting on make up makes her feel better about herself, more power to her.
I’m 23, my partner is 35. We’ve been together for 4 years. Lived together for at least 3. No marriage simply because I dont believe in it unless we wanted kids (and therefore all the tax, stability, and other reasons make more sense). It might last. It might not. Don’t jump the gun.
Wilmer seems like an opportunist,hasn’t he dated every young starlet in hollywood? he must be very charming.
Or something. He’s not exceptionally attractive or overly successful by Hollywood standards. The main thing I know about him is his rep for being lecherous.

Yeah I still remember an episode of That 70s Show where Fez was trying to become a ballerina and he was wearing some very tight leggings that showed off his junk. I was kinda shocked…figured he must be stuffing his pants (never heard the rumors about a big dong)–anyway, he was definitely packing some serious dongage down there.
I don’t care what kind of dong he’s toting. He’s given me the creeps since “That 70’s Show” and I wouldn’t let that over-ripe crab-infested green penile tissue come within a hundred yards of me. I’m not knowledgeable at all about Demi, but I hope she runs as fast as she can in the other direction. And SIGN A PRE-NUP, BITCH!!!
I think he’s credited with helping Lilo’s downward spiral begin. (Although I’m sure she would have gotten there, irregardless…) He has a track record of dating young, damaged girls and preying on their weaknesses.
Lindsay was well on her way downward long before she met him. She was clubbing long before she was 18. I imagine her alcohol use goes back to her early teens, she’s admitted to 15 but my guess is earlier. Alcohol would have been very accessible to her in her home. Other drugs would not have been difficult to get as well, and her mom probably got her on Adderall early for weight control.
My issue with him is he always seems to go for 19 year old girls who conveniently end up broken birds when he’s done. I’m 33 and I can not stand watching guys my age troll just basically out of high school girls , it’s gross and why??? I’m sorry but what the hell at 33 would I have in common with a 18/19/20 yr old?
I’m the same age and I agree. People who do that are trying to find someone who matches their level of maturity.
Wilmer is skeevy and demi seems immature, but not every 20 year old is immature, most are working hard to get a decent job and pay their bills. Don’t judge real life people based on celebrity lifestyle, we live in a totally different world.
@maggie, I am judging most 20 year olds based on the 20 year olds I know (and my level of maturity at 20). I had a full-time job and went to school full time, but I was far from mature. One can be responsible and still be emotionally immature (which I think is true for most 20 year olds).

I strongly believe your 20s is a growing period, figuring out your likes, dislikes, and who you are going to be as an adult.
I think we all know at least one dude that does shit like that and it’s really gross and off-putting. Creepy in fact.

It sounds more like a message of support and friendship than anything involving romance.
His reputation does creep me out……but I still think he’s really hot and I’d probably hit it to see what all the fuss is about. Unfortunately I’m nearly 40 so I’d have no chance.

He reminds me SO strongly of someone I used to date, who was also superficially charming but fundamentally skeevy … and she reminds me strongly of someone I used to *be*, insecure and unworthy (feeling).

That “charm” and “love ’em and leave ’em without looking back” attitude is the very foundation of sociopaths. They live for their pleasure. They do what makes them feel good at the time, then when it’s not fun anymore they jet on to the next victim.
I hope Demi takes a psych class and figures it out. She’s likely to become a victim otherwise.

I worry for Demi. I understand a lot of her struggles, but is also know that it’s never over when it comes to depression and eating disorders. It’s easy to say that he’s bad for her, but it’s easier for her to reason out why he’s not so bad. I just hope nothing to horrible goes down in this relationship.

On another note– I like her faded rocker blue hair. It’s 1000x better than that washed out bleach blonde she was rocking for so long.

I don’t know much about Wilmer Valderrama. I know that he once dated Lindsay Lohan, I know he’s from that 70’s show, and I know he has a shady reputation with the ladies. I do believe that people can change, but I hope this story isn’t true, for Demi’s sake.
