I think you guys need to make a new nickname for Elsa Pataky. She’s changed, y’all. These are some new pics of Elsa out and about in Santa Monica over the weekend. She was shopping with a friend (who looks like a grown-up Lorde). Elsa is BIG. She’s super-pregnant. She’s well into her third trimester by the look of it. Which brings me back to my original point: she is no longer a “Remora” clinging to whatever secondary fame she can get from Chris Hemsworth. Elsa is playing a different game these days. She’s managed to breeze along to her third trimester with very few photo-ops or red carpet appearances. We’ve barely seen her out with Chris or India Rose the past four or five months. She’s gone quiet. She’s showing us that she’s capable of going quiet.
So if people can’t slam her for clinging to Chris and trying to become a star in his wake, what will people say? I have no idea. I like her more now that I don’t see her every week in photo-ops. I also think she’s a beautiful pregnant woman. She’s just glowing and she’s so pretty. I love that sweater so much too.
I think Chris has finished filming In The Heart of the Sea, so I guess he and Elsa are back home in California and they’ll probably welcome their baby in LA. Didn’t she give birth to India in England? Yes, Elsa scheduled the birth around Chris’s promotional tour for The Avengers. So this baby will be an American – that’s nice. And Chris recently said that he was planning on taking some time off: “I’ve been working solidly for a couple of years now, to the point where I have to slow down and spend some time with my family.” Also nice. I hope he does take off some time and he and Elsa just focus on their kids. And then he’ll probably go back to work on The Avengers: Age of Ultron? I think that’s his next project.

Why all the hate for her?? I’ve never heard of her before I started coming to this site. I’m so curious about why everybody thinks she’s so awful! (I’m not judging the haters…I’ve just never heard of this chick!)
Oh Lauren, it’s too much to explain but Patacky is a famewhore. Once you hear what she did to Adrien Brody you might understand the dislike for her.

Agreed, though I’d rather see her in ugly boots than skyhigh heels while pregnant.

Well, she does not look her age. 37 doesn’t mean a nursing home is near. That’s extreme. And i love her outfit minus the boots. They’re just not my style.
All in all if i was that pregnant i would toss on comfy, flowy, items and gets shoes i could slip on and off because there’s no way she’s lacing those up!
All I want to know is what store she’s in with that many workers? I feel like everytime I walk into a Best Buy there are 3 workers trying to help 50 people. I want to go to her store.
It is the Apple Store. So many employees, but also so many customers. But. Leaps and bounds better than Best Buy.
GiGi, it looks like it could possibly be an Apple store…? the table set up looks similar, there are tablets on top, and they usually have a TON of people working at once… And one of the dudes has an apple logo on his beanie 🙂

It looks like she is in the Apple store on the Promenade in Santa Monica, but it never matters how many Apple employees on duty, the wait is still annoyingly long; but mornings are best for an Apple visit!
Meh–maybe she’s realized that she’s better off being the ‘wife’ instead of the ‘star’ (which wasn’t happening, ever). I doubt it would be a HUGE sacrifice to her, to just be a mom. I think she just wants attention, and being famous/actress was what she was aiming for, except now she can be famous for who she’s married to (and nothing else).
I’m wondering how many kids they’re planning on having. Like I’m guessing because she’s in her mid thirties that they went to have as many kids as they plan for NOW, instead of waiting 3-4 years between–which I think is smart.
Cripes, I was just asking in the TH post if anyone knew how far along Elsa was and now this story pops up. I must be psychic or something!! If only it worked for lotto numbers!
I get the feeling Chris would like at least 3 (being one of three himself). Not sure what siblings Elsa has (if any) but people tend to find comfort in numbers they are already familiar with. Maybe they will just keep going until the factory goes out of business…
Wow, I’m 35 weeks today and wished I looked like that instead of the side of a house. I have really popped out this last trimester😞

Congrats girls! I was the size of a house allll summer till I popped in mid Sept. Having your baby totally makes it worth it!
29 weeks today and I look like a bloated pufferfish! I’m finally having a little girl after having two wonderful little boys and I feel like the old wives tale is correct, “girls steal your beauty” and apparently my ankles!

The reason I say this is that kind of dress can make one look bigger than they really are due to big boobs or big stomach. Something with more definition would give a better idea of how big she actually was.

Cute dress, cute sweater, she looks good (with an exception for the ugly boots). I will give her enormous credit for dressing stylishly yet comfortably for pregnancy. She looks like she can actually breathe and walk easily!
She’s obviously aware of the cameras and is quite obviously posing so old habits die hard.
She’s aware of the cameras yes but I can’t fault her for the way she looks. Unlike other expectant “celebs”, she looks comfortable, happy and isn’t squeezing her trotters into heels and compressing everything with a bandeau dresses that resembles a boa constrictor.

When she confirmed at the end of November she was 3 months, yes? So she’s second trimester, not third, which makes sense since that’s when you feel the best during pregnancy – and apparently regress to a high school clique in the 90s calling yourself “Els.”
And perhaps I have not done my due diligence but this is the first time I have seen her photographed without CHemboy since she resurfaced to announce her pregnancy.
I could start calling her Malibu Barbie – whatever our illustrious leader sign off on.

She’s been papped five times since she’s been back in L.A. Twice with Chris and the other times on her own. Why her solo pics keep popping up in the Chris tag on tumblr? Don’t ask me. Although I did quite enjoy the pics of them furniture shopping. She had her arms crossed the whole time and didn’t look right into the camera lens once to smile. It was refreshing.

If you look at the shot where the wind is blowing back against the bump, she’s at least 7 months along unless it’s twins. No way is someone that size in their second trimester, whatever they said when they announced it.

Well, the reality is that she isn’t going to be a star — she has no career, really. It seems like she’s settled into the wife/mother role. So, it seems natural that she would give up the famewhoring.

She does not look huge. Not sure how far into her third T she is, but she looks amazing. Even if you just mean that her belly is big, “huge” suggests that she’s big all around (I’m 32 weeks, so I feel this personally!), rather than just very pregnant!

I was watching fast and furious 6 this weekend and recognized her name . I thought she was one of george Clooney exes. I had no idea she was married to chris. I didnt know his wife acted as well.
I can keep calling her what I’ve always called her: “Tacky. ” Why does she dress like that?! Soft, filmy dress & then,
big ole’ heavy combat boots. Maybe she needs those in order to kick Chris’ butt, since he’s a big dude & might not even feel a regular shoe.
The new, low(er) key Elsa has really started to grow on me too 🙂 Though she’s obviously had A LOT of (really good) work done over the years-who in Hollywood hasn’t?-there’s no denying that she’s an absolutely stunning woman.
In truth, she actually won me over sometime last year when I read the interview that went along with her cover for Women’s Health (I think it was that one…) She came across as so funny, down to earth and with no airs about herself at all. She was actually very sweet and talked about how much she adores Chris and the importance of family as she’s an only child and wanted very much to give India siblings. It was all completely the antithesis of the image we’ve come to know and a far cry from the woman who seemed to make it mandatory at one point for each one of her famous boyfriends to refer to her as a “strong Spanish woman” in every.single.interview or promotion that they did. (Seriously. Look it up: Chris, Adrian, they’ve all said it ver batum.)

I don’t think she’s quite into her third trimester. But I don’t follow the stories about her closely. It just looks like a flowy, tent dress that makes her bump look bigger than it really is.

She looks huge, with all baby, and not fat. Perhaps she’s having twins? She’s caring very high so she is probably not near the end of the pregnancy. Maybe she just looks huge because she’s so petite, and her husband is so big, he’d make bigger babies?
I like her better since she’s not using him for famehoring, too, as someone said above. She should be happy though and satisfied as she won the mega-husband lottery.

I completely agree with her being a famewhore, and she does have a rep for jumping from famous man to famous man….however, I will say that I DO like the boots with the dress because it’s edgy. The soft dress looks good paired with the rough hewn boots, shall I say? She could also have worn a more conservative boot or bootie with the dress.
I don’t famewhores ever change, no way. I would say that she went ‘lowkey’ even before India’s birth, so my guess is that she doesn’t care to be papped around that much when she is not in her best shape.
I’d bet whatever you want that she will be all over the place again after giving birth. She looks nice with the floral dress though.
For the future… I foresee that Elsa will dump Chris one day. Impossible? Wait and see (the most ridiculous and incredible gossip would be to see her elope with Hiddleston, who’s a lot more charming and talented than Hemsworth)
