Wow, two days in a row. I take back what I said about Elsa Pataky, you can definitely still call her “Remora” I think. Chris Hemsworth, Elsa and their daughter India Rose made another family outing yesterday – they went grocery shopping (at Whole Foods, I think) and to a doctor’s appointment. Chris’s shorts are better in these photos than in the ones we discussed yesterday. I think his red kicks are cute too! My current kicks are hot pink and they make me feel self-conscious, but they’re pretty comfortable. Elsa is still doing layers but she changed up her footwear because she heard you didn’t like those studded boots.
I wonder when Elsa is due? February, maybe? Do you think Elsa and Chris want a boy this time? I’m not saying that they’ll hate the kid if it’s a girl, but I think Chris probably wants a boy this time around. He comes from a family of boys, doesn’t he? Chris has two brothers, Liam (younger) and Luke (older), so he knows about families of boys.
Oh, did you know that Chris is due at the Golden Globes on Sunday? He’s scheduled as a presenter! What’s the over/under on Elsa walking the red carpet with him? I’d say… chances are pretty good, right? Here’s the presenters list that I’ve seen: Chris, Tom Hanks, Melissa McCarthy, Seth Meyers, Liam Neeson, Chris O’Donnell, Margot Robbie, Mark Ruffalo, Kyra Sedgwick, Channing Tatum, Emma Watson, Naomi Watts, Olivia Wilde, Robert Downey Jr., Jennifer Lawrence, Jimmy Fallon, Mila Kunis, Kevin Bacon, Laura Dern, Julie Bowen, Colin Farrell, Uma Thurman and Reese Witherspoon. Basically, everybody comes out for the Globes. So you know Elsa will be there too.

I don’t think she’s as far along as that. Looking at how she carried with India, I’d guess she is at the start of her seventh month maybe? Often people “pop” earlier with a second baby, too. Hmmm.
I would guess Pataky was at 7-10 weeks back when she made her only Rush red-carpet appearances but I’m too lazy to calculate what sort of due date that might mean.

Bump size is a horrible predictor of due dates. She could only be 4-6 months along as many pop much earlier with the 2nd pregnancy. And she just recently popped too — tends to lend itself to a later due date.
Silly question, but why is her nickname Remora?
Primarily because I am jealous of her being married to my crush.
But, she also has a bit of a habit of clinging on to famous people – in her case the majority are men – and using their fame for her own existence. And CHemboy seems to be the biggest shark she has landed.

I am curious how she lands these men — it would be interesting to know what’s up there. She definitely wasn’t pregnant when they got married.

@Talie: She has a muy caliente Spanish accent and a competent plastic surgeon. Plus she’s tiny and girly and some guys can’t get enough of super-petite cutesy women.
Didn’t Ramora and Chris have the same agent, voice or acting coach or something like that and that’s how they met. Better yet, that’s how she sunk her claws into him.
Dialect coach – same one who hooked her up with Adrien Brody.

Okay, I’m not that lazy after all.
Elsa was on the Rush red carpet on September 9th and that’s when I started bump watching her (I know, I should cut that crap out). If she was 7 weeks along then, she would be due around April 20th. If she was 10 weeks along, her due date would be the start of April. I don’t think many people would argue she was at the end of her first trimester already on September 9th, but if she was, she’d still be due no earlier than mid-March.
Is this what happens when your kids are all teenagers? You turn into the nosy old lady bump watching every woman at the grocery store? Oy!
I was going to guess she was due March through early May.
Part of me thinks she won’t show to the Globes because she’s too vain and can’t wear anything sexy, but another part of me thinks she definitely will show in a tight dress to show off her bump because we are talking about Elsa, after all.
She looked amazing in several Thor 1 promotional appearances when she was ready to pop with India. I especially loved the green Grecian gown.
@Anna- I really wish she’d go back to darker hair though. The dirty blonde color looked really good. This bleached blonde look just washes out her already pale complextion.
I guess we’ll see if Mila Kunis is pregnant. If so, there will be a lot of bumps on the red carpet. I am most excited to see Emma Watson and Reese W, for sartorial reasons more than anything else. And Chris, of course. It’s been a while since a red carpet appearance for him. I would love to see him don a tux, but GGs are a tad too casual for that. Too bad.
I just hope he shaves for it. I know you like the scruff, darling, but you got his mange-face for both promotions. I just want one suited, clean-shaven, well-coiffed red carpet to tide me over.

V4 – I feel you, honey (if, unfortunately, only in the cerebral sense) I am starting to feel like I have the pregnancy emotions. As my darling Anna will quickly point out, I have a nasty habit of supporting Remora in general because I don’t dislike her. But I have become enraged by her of late and I don’t know why.
I have boiled it down to two possible factors: 1) Her pregnancy is taking the shape of another link in the shackles she has round CHem’s ankle or 2) SHE GOT A RED iPHONE COVER. Yes, I know how stupid that sounds but red is my signature color – I have the red iPhone cover, I have the red purse, I have the red V I Warshawski pumps when I need to kick @$$. She’s taking everything from me…

@Anna I’m trying to bring it back down but it’s something about Remora that just brings the bitch right up out of me. I think it has something to do with not seeing her for awhile which did two things. 1. It gave me hope that there was trouble in paradise. 2. She took a sentimental journey back to Spain by way of boat, took a wrong turn and was engulfed by the Bermuda Triangle. Then BAM in your face V, not only does she pops back up but she makes her triumphant return from the abyss with a bun in the oven.

I just want to give you hugs now, V. It’s funny, my (mostly) happily-married BFF has a crush on an F1 driver (without her I wouldnt even know who Hunt and Lauda were), and this young guy has a semi-serious GF who shows up at a race once in a blue moon. And said BFF has the audacity to be all, ‘do you KNOW how hard it is for me to see the pictures of them together? why does he have a gf? why isnt he single for ME?!’ — whereas the love of my life is shacking up with love of his life wifey and almost two kids. >.<
I wonder if they do attend the GG together if they will pack on the PDA. Their body language has been off lately especially in these pics. Am I the only one who thinks it’s kinda weird how far apart they are walking in that pic? It’s just photo assumption though, maybe he’s just in a bad move. Although I haven’t seen them hold hands on the red carpet or in pap pics since September, so who knows?
@Anna Your BFF and I are are living in the same fantasy world that if these guys do break up with their SO’s or spouse we might actually have a chance. Like Chris and this F1 driver have our number on sped dial if their relatioship falls through. Or maybe we are just jealous.
But in all seriouness if Chris was with a person other that Tacky Patacky I wouldn’t have a probelm. He’s like that family member or friend you want to protect because you know (or think you know) the woman he is with is a user because of her usual modus operandi . Your opinion is she’s only in that relationship becasue it’s beneficial to her and what she can gain from it. You start to question is she really in love with him and if his star starts to fall instead of rise would she move on to the next big thing, like she did with Brody. But of course this woman is smart enough to know that she has a good thing with Chris. I felt the same way when Chris Evans got back with Minka Kelly and did a happy dance when they broke up. BTW Evans still hasn’t called me.
Like your friend, I adore my boyfriend and find him just as hot as the celebs we gush over but I hold some resentments toward Tacky, (a woman I have never met) because she crushed someone I’m quite fond of (Brody) and I question her intentions with Hemsworth. You know RDJ is my main squeeze but I love the fact that he is married to Susan. I think she is one of the best things that ever happened to him. So I guess it’s not a jealousy thing with me, it’s more of a Elsa Patacky thing.

I am definitely in that same world with you and my BFF. The difference is that she gets all DRAMATIC HEARTBREAK when a barely-existent GIRLFRIEND shows up next to her crush once in a blue moon, while I (and you) have to deal with a frigging wife sucking the life out of, ahem, our main squeeze.
And I totally get you on the subject of jealousy/resentment being partner-specific. Until a couple of years ago, for 8 years or so, my pre-Hemsworth ‘Hemsworth’ was Orlando Bloom. I fell HARD after POTC. And I so, so, so hated Orly with Kate Bosworth, and Bosworth for being with him. I wanted him with Keira (my decade-long girl-crush) or just…not Bosworth. When first pics of Orly and Miranda showed up, all loved up, I just melted. Not a note of jealousy. I LOVED them together, start to finish. I hated the rumors of her infidelity and divorce, till the latter came true. Before Orly, for about 8 years it was Tom Cruise. Tom & Nic forever. Tom & Katie – ditto. Whatever was in-between – HELL NO. So I get the RDJ thing too (personally, I find him a bit obnoxious but I love him and Susan together; like, he’s not attractive to me without her. I want to be Chris’ Susan). And Wagon (Remora) – well, she always was and always will be a NO for my Chris. A never, ever, ever no.
Whilst I am not the biggest fan of the lady in question (and Chris is my home boy!), I hope their body language is just because she is heavily pregnant and not keen to be touched rather than because there is trouble in paradise. I mean, there are kids involved here. Chris is very family-oriented so he would keen to have his kids raised in happiness and security. I can’t see Elsa being so desperate for fame that she would actually have children just to get the attention back on her. I think for the most part they are happy but maybe having a rough patch? For the children’s sake, I hope it is not serious.
I love her pregnancy style. Loose, flowing — so classy. I dislike the tightly stretched clothing over bulging bellies. She does pregnancy well.

I have a question–do the GGs put out a guest list? Just because someone’s nominated, doesn’t mean they’ll show up. So do they put out a list of confirmed attendees, or is it a surprise when they don’t show up (to the public)?

I don’t know, that is a pretty big gap in distance in that first picture. Not saying that there is something wrong but there could be. My kid’s father and myself didn’t even want to touch one another while walking when we were in the bad part of our relationship. Maybe I’m just seeing what I want to see but something seems odd.

The only reason I thought they were possibly “off” was because when he was filming that Michael Mann thriller in the photos in his free time he was almost never wearing a wedding ring. Plus, she just seemed to disappear for a while. I’m no fan of Elsa, but Chris is a big boy who married her and I think he’s aware of the pap walk….I don’t know, I still like the big lunk but I’ve soured on him since I read that article where he wasn’t even in the same country he was supposed to meet the journalist in and just came across as a complaining jerk (if Rooney Mara or any woman had said that stuff, people would have been rolling their eyes to kingdom come).
