Call me crazy, but I’m enjoying the hell out of these photos. The event: the 50th Anniversary celebration for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Old and young Swimsuit Issue cover girls came out to celebrate, and it’s like a who’s who of mainstream models from the past three decades, give or take some nips, tucks and Botox. Some wannabes were also in attendance (Ireland Baldwin!) too. I’m starting with Kate Upton and her two-year cover reign. I’m kind of wondering if Kate isn’t going to get her third SI cover this year, right? As for how she looked at this event… the dress is too tight in the bust (it’s giving her uniboob), but her styling is the best I’ve ever seen from her.
Kathy Ireland looks like a game-show hostess. But maybe she always had that sort of look, right?

Anyway, Ireland looks good, I guess. I was taken aback by the low-cut V of her dress, but I guess it sort of works.

I don’t think there’s any doubt that she’s had every procedure known to mankind on her face. And I have to be a voice of dissent among those saying she looks great. I don’t think she does. She’s not so bad in this picture – but very Barbie doll – but in other close-up pics I’ve seen of her she looks scary, almost Joker in Batman-ish.

I didn’t comment on the work being splendid. I just thought she had work, as opposed to simple injections. Her body, however, is a marvel for someone that age. It can’t possible be the result of all procedures.
She does have a great body, but I suspect there’s a reason that she’s covered up everything other than her legs – no shame in that, what with her being 59 and all that. Ask any ‘femme d’une certain age’ – the legs are the last thing to go south!

Christie Brinkley really does look amazing. I’m quite sure she’s botoxing or had work done, or both. But from this photo at least she looks like her surgeon did a great job and didn’t go over-board. It’d be interesting to see a closer-up photo of her face. Also, I’ve always had the impression that she’s quite outdoorsy, which would explain why she’s so fit but in a very natural, wholesome way.

She was Maxim’s Hottest and got to wear the magical diamond-encrusted VS bra a few seasons ago. The reason you missed her is that she was self-aware enough to know she was basically decoration for teenage boys and didn’t try to force herself upon us!
Marissa Miller was the face for VS for a good year or two. She took over the catalogs, walked first in the shows and wore the million dollar bra.
It’s not that I dont remember her, but for someone to be A Thing, dont they have to become their own brand/celeb outside of the VS/SI universe? Upton, Kerr, Banks, Brinkley – they all are. Miller? She’s just a really high-end catalog girl. She never broke out.
I’m gonna have to go with Kate Upton. Never liked any of her red carpet looks but she’s the least try-hard-looking here. But yeah, none of these looks are all that great. Rebecca and Ireland have got such beautiful faces but I don’t like the actual dresses they wore.

Part of the problem is that she looks best out of her clothes, but someone could dress her to accent her assets. In these pics her dress doesn’t fit and she does indeed have a uniboob.

Ireland Baldwin? No. No. No. She’s going to have to step up her game if she wants to be part of that crowd. The dress does not flatter her figure at all. I know she’s very fit, but it makes her legs look stumpy. And the hair is far too severe. She would do better to wear a dress that actually fits properly and soften her look overall. She’s trying to look older and sophisticated and it’s not working. She should embrace her youth while she has it.

YES! I was going to say the same. Tyra is absolutely wearing a lingerie nightgown. Just look at the finish of the hem and those vertical stitch lines between her boobs… not to mention the weight of the fabric looks REALLY light. This is totally lingerie.

At least Kate Upton’s stylist put her in a dress designed for her boxy midriff–the gold inserts hold the eye and make it seem like she’s not shaped like Sponge Bob Squarepants in the middle, and for her that is a good thing.

These are ‘top models’? IMHO, not one of them looks good. Not one. Without exception, they all look tacky and generic.

Chrissy Tiegen said in an interview that she never wears underwear, not even when she’s on her period. I find that disgusting that she wears mini skirts and no underwear, because her vadge touches everywhere she sits. That’s just gross.
If I could look like any of them, I would pick Kate Upton. I just think she is absolutely gorgeous and I can see why she’s on top.
And I think Christie Brinkley still looks amazing. And while sure she’s had work, she’s taken really good care of herself. She looks like she exercises, stays out of the sun, and eats right.

Ever since Tyra Banks rolled around the floor, handing out sample Vaseline to her talk show audience (like it was the beauty miracle of the century), I always think shes dressed/looks like a complete nutcase!
In Hollywood and in the fickle entertainment industry, the one thing that people fear the most is aging. Christie Brinkley looks fantastic she could play in with those much younger or half her age and still win. I also liked Rebecca Romijn, and Kate Upton.
Hmm, Christie Brinkley looks the most relaxed and the most natural. Kathy Ireland looks like she took a nose dive into my hairdresser’s hairspray tub. Kate Upton has enviable boobs ( since I have none LOL), Heidi has sort of stopped impressing me for the past couple of years, Rebecca is very beautiful but a little too skinny for my taste, Tyra’s suffering from the sour lemon+smize syndrome. 🙂
