Will these photos make the Harry Potter-heads weak in the knees? Professor Snape and Lord Voldemort, together at a premiere? They’re lovely, aren’t they? These are photos from last night’s London premiere of The Invisible Woman, the true story of Charles Dickens’ multi-year love affair with a much younger woman. Ralph stars as Dickens, and he directed the film too. Felicity Jones plays his young mistress and Kristin Scott Thomas (who will always be “K” in Ralph’s book) plays the mistress’s mother. Alan Rickman is not even in the film. He just came out to support Ralph, I think. Isn’t that lovely?
A moment for the ladies: Felicity wore Alexander McQueen. I saw raves about this dress, but I’m not feeling it. It feels like the fit is off and one of her boobs is about to slip out. I don’t know who designed Kristin’s ensemble but I LOVE it. The blouse-pants combo reminds me of, like, glam pajamas. I would wear this outfit everywhere!
As for who I would rather… God, I don’t even know. I’ve been in love with Ralph for so many years. He’s beautiful in a very particular way and my attraction to him is just knee-jerk. But Alan is special too. Alan just needs to talk to me and I would be his. So… who would I rather? BOTH.

Alan Rickman. All day. Everyday.
+1,000,000!
Thanks for giving us an Alan post. My day is made!
Yes. And he has to read things to me… very… slowly….
YES!
Me too, too!
Alan fan all the way!
@Tania. Yes to this. His voice alone would make me jelly.
Alan. Hands down.
Yesssssss. Colonel Brandon >>>>>> everyone else
Yes YES yes. Yes.
Alan, the sexiest man I ever met.
Fiennes but with Rickman’s voice, they both look nice.
I came to say the same, lol! Though in truth, I could probably make it happen just listening to them talk to each other…
I was going to say Alan’s jacket looks unlined and a bit scruffy (could be the camera glare though). He would have looked much nicer in a properly tailored jacket.
Ralph for me though, but only just!
This isn’t Alan’s first time in a scruffy looking suit. I think we should start a Kickstarter, send that man an iron and a tailor. I still love him though.
Hahaha, “send that man an iron and a tailor.” He needs someone to dress him, too. I don’t think he’s buttoned up his shirt under the tie, which isn’t tied right.
@blue marie: Yeees! Gurl, yes thank you for that. It’s going in my spank bank for later.
@blue marie, You could have Fiennes, but have Rickman talk you through it. You know, for safety’s sake.
😛
Ralph looks good here. I’ve also had a thing for Ralph for years…. Sooooo Ralph and then Alan. Gotta be fair right???
God we are so similar it is scary!
🙂
Not scary, makes the garden more pleasant place to live. 😀
You think we can get all the boys into the same fitness regimen that Tom was promoting the other day? And does our garden have a cute boy maximum capacity limit? Would hate to have the fire dept out and have them prune our cute boys down to the fire safety limit…. The fire fighters might have some ‘odd’ ideas of who should stay and who should go….
“Totally Toned with Tom – A guide to fitness in the acting world” DVD. Hmmmmm…
Whilst there is no limit to the “cute boys in the garden” membership numbers, I think there is a capacity issue if they all come to visit at the same time! We could try moving the fountain to fit a few more in, but I really think the wetting of t-shirts in the fountain on a hot day just makes it too invaluable to dispose of it altogether. We might need to come up with a way of ensuring we have enough visitors to please us each day without overcrowding the garden and potentially crushing some of our lovely flowers (I fear Tulip might have moved from the garden after nearly being crushed by Prince Harry returning from the Antarctic).
True. True. I also saw windy coming over and offering her services. I get bad vibes from her… 😉 We get them all hot and sweaty and then she caresses them with a gentle breeze and suddenly they love her for cooling them off. I might be misreading her but I think we should just watch her — know what I mean???
Well, the garden is pretty large. We could commandeer the adjacent park??? Or expand our underground system. We do have options…. And we have the fantastic Thornfield close by — just no swinging from the chandeliers!
Fiennes is wearing the better fitting suit; but Rickman. Always Rickman.
I so agree. I love how Alan rocks his rumpled suits. Its part of his quirky charm.
Alan. Forget the suit. He won’t be in it long anyway!
My body is ready.gif
It’s weird seeing Voldemort with a nose. And hair. But I would hit Alan Rickman all day and all night. I’m so ashamed because I’m 18 and he’s in his 60’s. I have problems, lol.
Oh, don’t be–I’m 19, and I would hit Liam, Ralph, AND Alan if I could….that voice. Plus he was the male Cinderella in ‘Sense and Sensibility’–which I still love, although Kate’s getting on my nerves now.
I’ll third the motion. I’ve had a thing for him since I was 15. It’s been 11 years and I’d still hit it all day, every day. That man turns my everything into jello and I’m not even sorry.
Ralph always but I do love Alan. Seeing Kristen and Ralph makes me want to watch English Patient.
Oh COME ON. Impossible choice! That’s a judgement of Solomon right there. My eyes crossed even beginning to think about picking.
No Sixer, the answer is BOTH. Solomon’s wisdom still prevails.
😉
I think a threesome would be the end of me.
Pass.
Alan Rickman. No contest.
Both. Not at once, because I’m not into that. But both.
Same. How can I make such a choice? It’s like choosing between pizza and chocolate. I want both – not at once but in big amounts. They can gain as much weight and lose as much hair as they want, they will always have this special “something”.
As an HP diehard fan I’m just so happy to see them together, it’s more like a tender feeling than a ‘I’ll jump on that’ for me, LOL.
Lord Smolderhot or Mighty Professor?
“both!”
“after all this time?”
“ALWAYS!”
You won a jar of internet today! LOL! 😀
Ha ha. Best comment ever! And I agreee…
^ LOL! Best comment ever! But its Ralph, Ralph, Ralph…(panting) for me. Drool!
I will go with Kristin Scott, honestly i love her more than the 2 men combined.
Hot, middle aged, English lads. Check, check, check.
What’s up with the beard though? He looks like a Soviet intellectualist.
Hopefully he’ll wear the uniform in bed….
Alan! Always! I just want him to say “Always” to me. Just once.
Damn, they got old.
I’d be totally down with either as the voice of my O/S 🙂
Alan Alan Alan Alan Alan. Yes.
I’ll have what she’s having.
(Sorry you sounded orgasmic there)
Ahahahha, Meg Ryan <3
Both, but 20+ years ago.
Haha, THIS
LOL! Ditto.
It was a pleasure, after seeing Kanye n Kim’s stupid faces, to scroll down and see a post on Alan and Ralph ! Bless you Kaiser, bless you! Can’t wait to see this film
I love Felicity Jones, I really wish she was in more things, she seems quite low key. I never seem to read anything about her.
As for Rickman v Fiennes? Rickman every time. That voice!
So happy to see all the Rickman love on this site!
I first discovered him in Sense & Sensibility (brief flutter). What else should I watch? Should I see Totally Madly Deeply or whatever it’s called? What is your favorite Rickman movie (other than Potter)?
You MUST see Truly Madly Deeply! Also check out Close My Eyes co-starring Clive Owen. Oh and Dark Harbor. But TMD first. In fact, go and rent it now!
What Louisa said about Truly Madly Deeply.
First time I discovered him was in “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” (1991) with Kevin Costner. He played the Sheriff of Nottingham. I will take both please.
Call off Christmas!
Check out An Awfully Big Adventure. Also features a villainous role for a young Hugh Grant pre international fame .
Btw does it bother anyone else here’re that Kristin ST was Ralph’s lover in English & now she is the grey haired mom of Ralph’s secret squeeze in the Dickens movie?
I really liked Rickman in Dogma. But damn, he did a movie with Clive Owen?!? I must see that!
And Clive is naked in it. Gloriously naked. Full-frontal naked.
If you have not seen Truly, Madly, Deeply stop whatever you are doing immediately, pour yourself a glass of very fine wine, and prepare to wallow (yes, wallow, there is sadness) and revel in the wonder and joy (it is also hilarious) that is Alan Rickman. It is by far his most lovely performance.
And wasn’t he the baddie in the first Die Hard?
Thank you everybody!!!! Looks like I’ll start with Truly and a box of Kleenex. I’m writing down the others!
Ralph! And as for Alan’s jacket, I don’t mind the artsy look, just wish it was a good fit. Looks like the buttons are going to pop!
Fiennes but Rickman can narrate.
Spot on.
Love Alan but honestly he’s starting to dress like dotty uncle. Just not doing it for me, not visually.
That voice, however, will always be a panty remover.
My heart says Alan, my head says Ralph, my vagina says both, and I always listen to my vagina.
Smart vagina.
Alan. Rickman. Swoon.
Alan Rickman at any age and any way. I’ve had a crush on that man since the first HP movie came out. I mean I always loved book snape but seeing him on screen played by that man destroyed my life, you know snape got it hard if he had a six year crushing on him.
Both of them are amazing. Watching Goblet Of Fire right now!!!
Sweet Alan, that voice! It kills me every time. And though I would take him with about 20 years shaved off, even now I’d still go for it.
Rickman rocks! Discovered him in a movie where he played Rasputin and then in Sense and Sensibility. He can act and his voice makes me melt.
ALAN!
Alan Rickman forever.
