Here are some photos from the 5th Annual QVC Red Carpet Style event in Beverly Hills last night. It’s weird to me that QVC puts on a big pre-Oscar event every year, but it’s even weirder that they consistently get the best turnout of nearly any other pre-Oscar party. Let’s get to the fashion! First up: Kaley Cuoco. I’m surprised she didn’t bring Ryan Sweeting! Is this the first time that they’ve ever been apart?! As for her midriffy top and the matching skirt… on anyone else, I would have flat-out hated it. But it suits her, right? I think this is a solid look for her.
Nicole Richie… yikes. I mean… what is going on with Nicole? And what is going on with Giuliana Rancic too, incidentally? Every time I see those two women, it’s like they’re in a competition to see who can look the most skeletal. I worry about both of them. I know that sounds concern-trolly so go ahead and yell, but I think it’s weird that we can’t discuss it openly, considering they’re walking red carpets looking like this.
Yay, Stacy Keibler still gets invited to Hollywood events! I can’t say her budget styling has changed too much since she was with George Clooney. But I’m strangely happy to see her on a red carpet.
Kat Dennings. It’s a cute outfit, I guess? I feel for her, trying to make her huge rack look cute in the trendy clothes that are popular these days. I feel like she’s wearing a minimizer here.
Kate Mara… while this could have been an interesting dress on someone else, I’m not really feeling it on Kate, especially with her styling.
Jenna Dewan’s dress is strangely enchanting. I stared at it for a good five minutes feeling like the gold foil was going to eat the rest of the dress.
Elizabeth Rohm in Hervé Léger. I don’t get why she went with this dress at all. She’s pretty, but this look is so dated.
When did Kristy Swanson become Laura Dern?! Only I would say Kristy Swanson looks prettier, actually.
I’m also including pics of Kendra Wilkinson (I keep forgetting she’s pregnant again), Gabourery Sidibe, and Jenna Fischer and her bump (she just announced her second pregnancy this month).

I really need to Google kaley because I don’t know who she is. But she looks like a typical mall obsessed valley girl, so that outfit is tres appropriate.
Okay, googled her. She does have a respectable docier of shows I’ve never watched, but of note she is actually a native born valley girl. So, again, she pulls of that look perfectly.
On the Big Bang Theory she plays her character just like a Valley Girl too — even though Penny is supposed to be from Nebraska. Even more irritating is the writers don’t even bother to get facts right about Nebraska and go with stereotypes and myths. Grrr.
Funny show though. Very funny.

Seriously, I think it is very funny too but you would think it’s the worst thing in the world according to the internet-appointed entertainment arbitrators and the ever present hipster it-ain’t-cool-or-funny-if-it’s-mainstream crowd 🙂
@Lady and Tulip I like Big Bang Theory too. Actually, I love it! I find her character quite annoying though, for some reason.
@AlmondJoy: I find her character annoying too. I have the feeling that every other character on the show is evolving but she is not. Penny is now (in my opinion) the weakest link on the show.
@GreenMonster So true! I think you hit the nail on the head. She’s the same on every single episode. She’s been the same person since season one. I also hate Amy Farrah Fowler’s fawning over her character. Penny clearly doesn’t feel the same.

@AlmondJoy @GreenMonster: The lack of character development IS another annoyance to add to the list. And the sad thing is that Nebraska has tons of real jokes they could use (even Midwest themed ones).
It does beg the question why everyone else’s character is evolving but Penny.

I don’t like the dress on her. All the fabric about the neck is not good. She is a small girl and it is taking over her here.

Agreed, she needs some alterations on that too. Having said that , this is the best I’ve seen her look. Kaley clearly has a great figure. She makes herself look so ugly with those expressions.
I hate that “concern trolling” became a thing. We should be able to express concern about someone without it being a thing. Also, I agree with the comments about Nicole and Guilianna.
Same. I hate that expression. There’s a “troll” type label for every kind of comment now. It’s irritating. People are not immune to criticism.

So much blah. Kaley’s dress is bland in color for her complexion. Maybe I’m wrong, but with the crop tops, I think you need to pick a body part, boobs or belly button, and not both. Nicole’s dress has that American Hustle 70’s-80’s retro look, but she’s swimming in it and it doesn’t look tailored for her. It’s not Kat’s rack that is the problem at all, the shoes do not work with that ensemble, at least for me, they split up her legs and are too ‘light’ for the heavier look on top. Elizabeth Rohm looks like an older Kaley, in the face. Terrible dress. The rest, meh.
Yeah, she has a more voluptuous body type and bigger legs, and the shoes cut her off at the ankles. She def needs a different shoe with that dress. I bet she has trouble dressing b/c she’s not lanky like Hollywood people.

In fact, almost all the shoes are really, really bad – especially Kat Demmings – who I love – she looks cute until you look down to see her red fishnet booties or whatever. I despise those things………….
Cat Dennings is a gorgeous girl with a gorgeous figure. Real question: was she costumed in oversized frumpy clothes in Thor to downplay that she’s sexier than Natalie P?

I always thought Dennings and Thor made the better couple in the movie. Portman’s character was such a cardboard cutout plus she and Thor had no chemistry, imo.
Also, I like Dennings but despise “Two Broke Girls”. I think she deserves better than that show offers. For the most part, I find it vulgar and stupid.
Lastly, I agree that the shoes are what messes this outfit up. They do cut her legs off and it’s not a good look.
I don’t find Dennings particularly sexy either. She’s annoying in everything I’ve seen her in.

Cuoco looks ok, but she overdoes the California blonde chic look. Too much hair, too much skin, too much pouting.
Cage heels, bandage dresses, tousled bleach-blonde belly-button-bearing, horrifyingly ugly leopard-god-only-knows-what “hip” prints, baby doll dresses with leather jackets…. I feel like screaming Return of the 90s/2000s! at the top of my lungs to the tune of the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes song. Pretty much everybody looks horrible.
Good Lord, Kaley, that is some serious bitchface! I only look like that when I look into a mirror. (Yes, I KNOW. I KNOW it doesn’t exactly make me look pretty. Everybody looks like a moron when looking into a mirror, right? My boyfriend yells ‘BLUE STEEL!” every single time he catches me in the act….)

She really isn’t invited to all that much these days post Clooney life isn’t treating her well. It’s a good thing she has a hooked a millionaire cause work wise she doesn’t seem to have anything.
