Back in January, Hilary Duff and her husband of three years, Mike Comrie, announced they were splitting up. Someone leaked it that Hilary and Mike had been struggling for a while, and had even been in marriage counseling for 18 months. Which means they had been in counseling for half of their marriage. Anyway, what followed is what typically follows. “A Brand New” Hilary trying to rebrand herself as a fearless single mom, complete with photo-ops several times a week as she carried her kid around town, plus lots of Twitter photos of her kid too. That didn’t stop her from climbing on the #NoKidsPolicy, although I don’t think she realized exactly what it meant. Anyway, long story short, Hilary and Mike decided to cling to their relevancy marriage after all!
After spending a romantic Valentine’s Day vacation together in the Bahamas, Hilary Duff is calling off the divorce with hubby Mike Comrie, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. According to an insider, the mid-February trip was intended to be a time for the couple to discuss splitting assets and a suitable custody arrangement for their 2-year-old son, Luca — but the two have instead agreed to work on their marriage.
“Hilary and Mike hooked up when they were in the Bahamas,” the source told Radar. “Once they were together with their son Luca in the Caribbean, it got emotional and real. Mike broke down and begged Hilary for a second chance.”
And although the source says Duff, 26, wasn’t initially keen on giving the marriage a second chance, she’s recently had a change of heart when it comes to Comrie, 33.
“They’ve been meeting for hookups ever since, and Hilary’s softened and the two are moving forward to see if they can work it out,” the insider revealed. “Hilary’s one stipulation is that Mike step up to full-time parenting duties while she works on her new TV show and her music career.”
Duff recently landed a new gig starring opposite Sutton Foster in Younger, a comedy pilot written and produced by the creator of Sex And the City, Darren Star.
It’s funny that the language being used is both of “mature reconciliation of two adults trying to work on their marriage” and “rock star-groupie hotel hookups.” Well, at least they have a physical connection. A lot of marriages don’t even have that, so good for them. As for this reconciliation… we’ll see. If they honestly think they can work it out, then I hope they do.

I can’t help but to think the whole marriage drama has been scripted for PR purposes. She just signed with a new label and all.
Considering how Hilary Duff hasn’t really done anything relevant to the pop culture for years, the fact that I see much more photos of her walking around than of actual A-list actress strongly implies that she cooperates with the paparazzi or photo agency, splitting the money.
Those are my thoughts exactly, how ironic that their split should happen just before she relaunches her pop career. So transparent.

I was just gonna say the same thing. I feel like this whole thing was orchestrated to get people talking about her.
I would have agreed (I guess I still do) except there were many reports that he cheated on the road while he was still playing hockey within the 1st year of their marriage.
So, at the very least, they’ve got major issues.
I don’t know why she is focusing on her musical career. She can’t really sing. She should find a tv show to do.
Meh if they want to really work it out then good for them I hope they’re both willing to work hard at it and are being safe with their hookups
More like her career didn’t skyrocket from the publicity and he probably has a good prenup.
She can ignore his cheating and douche ways in exchange for living a luxury lifestyle
At 16, Hilary was worth over $80M. That was *before* all the revenue from Concert sales/merchandise, her “Stuff by Hilary Duff” line, and her 2 perfumes. I’d say she is worth over $100M plus royalties coming in.
His family might be really rich, but I’m sure she didn’t marry for $$$ as she had her own. And she doesn’t have to be with him to “live in the lap of luxury”.
Isn’t she releasing a new single soon, call me cynical, but she’s gained alot of publicity from this.

He has allegedly been a horn dog their entire marriage. Lots of jump off’s scatter about.
So I really did see the announcement of the divorce, as her way to make it clear she was done with his running around. Or her way to fight off the humiliation of him screwing around.
To be honest, I am more surprised that there was not a pending baby announcement made… from one of his jump off’s. Seriously.

Personally, I think she’d be crazy to reconcile with him because I doubt he’ll change his ways.
I thought I read that his Canadian mistress WAS pregnant and that was the last straw for Duff. I read this right around the time the split was announced.
I seriously clicked on this post thinking it was about Brandi Glanville – the resemblance is uncanny. (At least in the thumbnail).
I called it. Good for her and him. It looked like from her personal pics and from reports they were slowly working it out and neither was out with new people. They were the most amicable and more so constantly together no court filings. Yes you are if you have kids but not *this* much. If the rel is beyond repair you want to get away and absence makes the heart fonder. I don’t know if it is as interesting as radar claims but ‘m sure half is likely true. I doubt they know what happened two months ago in a lot of detail. Radar likely found out no divorce and filled in gaps. I find it hard to believe they have the scoop before e or anyone.
Tho I called it He’s lost weight since separation. Stress perhaps. If both people really want to try it could work out especially if still emotionally involved.
Anyway I just like that they are allegedly having hook ups between spouses! Whew rarity.
She has a hotline to the paps too.. Daily shots or every second day.. It was ok for her for awhile with Luca. Then she jumped on no kids.. Crys foul with the paps when they dont take a shot she likes.. Mike was getting the trashing but I am not sure it was Mike at all… She was the one that was seen out and running around partying hard. She was putting it all on instagram.. These days Hillary is trying to hard to be relavant.. If youngo to her instgram have a look real close look.. She has done work and almost has a hint of Kim to her face… I also am not sure even with divorce papers that it was real
Contrary to what Aaron I’m-Too-Sexy-For-My-Own-Good Taylor-Whatever says, marriage is hard work. This hard work at keeping it going does not discriminate. There are so many factors involved and let’s not forget the rip-roaring roller coaster ride that it is. Some folks marry because they love the idea of it. They think it’s all “And they lived happily ever after”. Others go in with the belief that they want to have their cake and eat it too. In my opinion, famous folks have it harder because their lives are in a fish bowl. That being said, if Lizzie MacGuire and what’s his name are GENUINELY trying to work it out, then good for them. But if the marriage is beyond septic, then get out before it becomes gangrenous.
Marriage is work: balancing another person’s wants and goals and priorities with your own requires a lot of understanding and occasional compromise. But Duff and Comrie have only been married for a few years… It shouldn’t be this much work.
It never looked like they split — they were spotted together constantly.
It never hurt to give a marriage a second chance….hope it works out for them. In the end even if they still go ahead to splittville, at least know they tried their best.

I hope for the best since there’s a kid involved. But she’s never been much of an actor ( actually got worse as she aged) and isn’t really a singer without huge gobs of digital assistance. She had just lucked into a Disney role on a show that was popular, a d lucked into playing the most popular character even though everybody else could act rings around her. Then her mother bought her vanity projects where she still couldn’t act. The only acting talent in the family is her older sister, which was painfully obvious when they were together in one vanity movie project. I would have expected Hilary to realize her limitations in those areas by now and be pursuing other activities than singing and acting.
